Lay off Vick

What Michael Vick did was wrong, horribly wrong. But he went to prison and paid the price. Outrage at his return is understandable, but how is that worse than killing someone? Isn't Leonard Little, who killed someone while drunk driving, still playing for the Rams? Where's the outrage? Browns receiver Donte' Stallworth recently killed someone while drunk driving. He gets a year suspension from the league, and then he'll be back. Somehow, I don't foresee people picketing his return. Let's get a little perspective here people.

Amen! The man has paid his dues. No one loves dogs more than me,but Vick has shown that he's remorseful and I believe he's a changed person. It's time to move on. Now, if I can just beat the shadow this year. He he!

What about the firefighter that shot both of his PET dogs before going on a cruise so he would not have to put them in a Kennel. He got 30 days and may get to keep his job. So give it a rest. Leave Mike Vick alone. He did his time.

I think where you both miss the point why people are angry is this; yes both Little and Stallworth killed someone and deserve to be punished harshly. They did not CHOOSE to kill someone though, that WAS an accident in each case. I do think there should be stricter penalties for those two as well, but Vick decided to hang dogs and drown dogs. He made a conscious decision to commit horrible acts on animals. For that I will choose not to forgive him just yet. Anyone can say they made a mistake and they feel bad. Of course he feels bad, people hate the SOB. He will have to EARN back peoples trust. Just going to prison doesn't make you a better person. If you think that's the case why don't you ask to have Manson released?

I think before commenting people should review the facts. Michael Vick financed the dog fighting and he allowed his family to live at the residence he owned where the operation took place. He does not have to earn the people's trust. He has already been judged by the people in a court of law. He only needs to thank God for his forgiveness, focus on his children, family and prove that Coach Dungy, Coach Reed and Donovan McNabb made the right decision to support regardless of the backlash from the public. Michael, they talked about Jesus Christ, so of course they are going to talk about you. However, on the field you have taken much harder hits, the public grumbling does not compare. Don't let them take your swagger, hold your head up and do what you do, quarterback.
