I am a graduate of Lakewood. nd this is the year for the lakewood lancers. but i still think laura will have poly ready for league play. but Lakewood will still come out victorious.
I remember WAY back in 1965, the first year we beat Poly, it was insane! Lets not forget, Poly is Poly, they have been worthy champs. Dont count them out yet, but hey GO LANCERS !

Lakewood fan's, and the rest of the moore league enjoy this while you can! you will not have another chance to beat Poly after this season for a long time! Period! Even if you do beat us this year! It will never equal to the pounding's we put on your team's for 15 years. Enough said!
Remember that Lakewood BEAT!!! Servite Last year and put them out of the playoffs. Servite has the same team they had last year, and if they have to play them again in the playoffs it will be a good game. Coach Lara knows what he's dealing with and he said himself that he has a young team. It's just normal to rebuild after every four years, that's football. However, the only problem Poly has right now, is that they are already bumped out as contenders for "State". Coach Lara also, said that it's really hard for a 15 year old to go up against a 17 year old, and he's right age does make a difference. This is just one year, and it does not take anything from Poly's past success in this sport. I believe they will bounce back, but I also believe that it will happen next year and not this year.
Oh Yeah! And Lakewood also BEAT!!! Crenshaw last year too, and they still have the same team they had last year, but tonight should still be a good game. All I have to say is let the best team win. These young men play extremely hard and deserve some respect, Lakewood, Poly, Crenshaw and etc. All I know is in football you don't get the best out of 7. You can go undefeated the entire year and still lose the biggest game of the season, just because you've had a bad game. I think everyone should just relaxed and stop making harsh comments about eachother's schools, and let the season get on it's way and wish every team in the Moore League good luck.
