Not that it really matters all that much this early in the season, but the P-T top 10 football rankings should be interesting when it comes out on Tuesday. (Maybe The Shadow will release the rankings Monday night, before it hits newsstands Tuesday morning). Think about this: of the top 10 teams in last week's rankings, only two teams actually won a game this past weekend. Granted, not everybody played:
1. Lakewood - lost
2. Poly - lost
3. Jordan - did not play
4. Los Alamitos - dnp
5. Compton - dnp
6. St.John Bosco - lost
7. Warren - WON
8. Mayfair - lost
9. Lynwood - dnp
10. Norwalk- WON
So, who's No. 1? Is it Jordan, or Los Al, who haven't even played yet? After all, Lakewood and Poly lost to good teams. Warren and Norwalk won their games, but how far do you move them up in the rankings? Can't move them above Pac 5 teams like Lakewood and Poly, right? Maybe not over Bosco either, which lost to another powerhouse in St. Bonaventure. So tell me, who's your vote for No. 1?

Still Lakewood
Since Jordan and Los Al did not play or were idle then they should move up to take over Lakewood's and Poly's spot. Drop Lakewood and Poly behind Compton in the rankings.
servite far better than crenshaw....milllikan won...hello...poly is not good this year ..get over it
Jordan is #1 trust me, they are good and I think they will take the Moore League if not Lakewood this year, Jordan has experience with a lot of talent
Wilson gonna get any respect? Poly and Lakewood played some tough teams but I dont think Jordan or Los Al deserve #1 without playing yet.
Jordan #1 and Los Al #2 should be moved up. Lakewood and Poly did lose to good quality teams. However, at the end of the day, they still ended up with a 'lost' (0-1). Once week two comes around the corner, we'll wait and see what goes down. Perhaps Wilson should make it on the list as they were impressive last week.
norwalk top 5 ... Don't sleep on them ....
Poly didnt even show up and lost big time, and plays St. Bonnie next if they lose do they get booted from the top 10? Atleast Lakewood competed against Crenshaw, lets all be honest here does anybody think Norwalk has a chance of beating anybody in the top 5? They can never get past Mayfair. Warren is decent(Callier is a beast). SJB has alot of talent didnt play thier starting QB due to injury and should have passed the ball more than 3 times in the 1st half. The real top 5 should be Los Al, Lakewood, Jordan, Compton, Warren. One question for the SHADOW...Will this be the season we finally see(exspose)that it takes not only talent from Poly, but quality coaching from the Jackrabbits?(since the departure of Jaso.)
