Orange Lutheran 24, St. John Bosco, 17 (final)

Bosco was up by 14, but incredibly poor play calling (except for a reverse in the first series); poor line play; a defense that was not prepared for the triple option (Orange Lutheran ran outside at will); and questionable personnel decisions, led to Bosco's defeat, 24-14.
Great coaches take mediocre players and make them better. Nobody is making Bosco's mediocre varsity a better team.

just an intersting bit of info...
bosco's head coach has more wins than any bosco coach in history...
he also has more losses than any coach in bosco history...

overall his record is just over .500, but in the trinity league and average team will get smashed every year... so when will derick willams, Joe & Pat cowan's kids be coming to bosco?

when does the offensive cordinator start taking the blame horrible play calling and please you cant blame the qb for that one

Time for new coaches....time to gut this current coaching staff...Kiki has had 10 years and the program has declined since the Jerry Person era. If Bosco wants to play in the Trinity league they NEED a CIF champ coach.

This team actually does have talent, that's the sad thing. However, they are so undisciplined, it's mind boggling. Penalties galore + horrible play calling = mediocrity.

We gave them two or three first downs on offsides penalties alone. We had a long interception for TD called back for a block in the back. Numerous offisdes, I stopped counting at 5.

Why did it take the ENTIRE game save for the last drive for the coaches to put in Gaeta? The guy was pinpoint on EVERY pass in that final drive.

The parents are starting to lose their cool. This was the first time I actually heard parents being VERY vocal about this team's shortcomings.

I think changes need to be made after this season.

Bosco has great talent on their freshman team...the kind of talent that, if these kids can cut it academically and return for the next three years...Bosco can win the Trinity League.
The question is, does Bosco have the coaching staff that can make the most of this talent.
I believe Kiki's coaches work long and hard hours. I am just not so sure about how smart they are. You need brilliant, creative coaching to mask or overcome your own weaknesses, to take advantage of your opponent's weaknesses, and to get the most out of your talent. (The weight room is necessary, but bench pressing is not proven to make you a smarter football player.) I am not certain Bosco's coaching IQ level is up to that task.

are you kidding me geata did u get to see the j serra game then you would stop writting these things if anyones to blame its the oc hes the one calling the plays maybe its time for him to open it up and stop being to conservative
