1. Los Alamitos(4-0) well rounded team tough schedule 2. Lakewood (4-1) great quarterback, discipline problems can loose you a game, "will finally be tested this week" 3. Poly (2-3) can you get a tougher schedule -this is the week don't blow it! 4. Warren (4-0) hard fought first 4 games 5. Bosco (3-2) losses to St. Bonnies & Loyola come on 6. Millikin (4-1) only loss to Fountain valley - (F.V.team will be a contender this season) 7. La Mirada (4-1) only loss to La Habra - (La habra - C.I.F. finalist year in and year out) 8. Gahr (3-2) 2 losses to a good Trabuco hills team and also a (4-1) Millikin 9. Norwalk (5-0) great running attack probably the best Norwalk team that I have ever seen (week pre- season total combined wins and losses for the 5 teams they have played so far - 2 wins & 23 losses) 10. Compton (2-2) is there really any body else we can put in the 10 spot?
Los Al tough schedule? Take a look at that schedule one more time. They have a good defense but their offense is very basic. The qb is not very good.
Lakewood has a tough defense and an incrediable offense. The only weakness I see is their kicking game.
1. Lakewood
2. Los Al
3. Poly
4
1. Lakewood - Talent galore and seems to have corrected many trouble areas since the early weeks(ie. penalties/miscues)
2. Poly - Do not be fooled. This is not a bad team, and if they can continue with the offensive production they had versus Jordan, they will be tough to beat as the season approaches the playoffs.
3. Los Alamitos - Always well coached which maximizes their potential and "talent". Another team not to be fooled by. They were not as dominant against lower division La Habra as the score would indicate.
4. St. John Bosco - I'm convinced that they will never be an elite program but only ever "decent". Talent is down this year so the playoffs are out of the question, AGAIN!!
5. Millikan - Soon to be grounded as their league play begins, but nonetheless not boring to watch. They have one of the best athletes in SoCal that no one has ever heard of.
6. Warren - Great RB and blue collar team approach makes this team formidable, but not Division 1, and without depth.
7. Compton - When they are healthy they are good and with the 4 seeds from the Moore League, should still make the playoffs, AGAIN!!
8. Norwalk - Respect
9. Gahr - Live by the pass and die by the pass...Especially without defense.
10. Wilson - When healthy, not as bad as their record.
The Expert Has Spoken
Where are the local statistics that you guys used to run periodically through out the season? It used to be interesting to see but you're no longer, or haven't done them yet.
Stats are in the paper today.
GOOD TOP 10 for now. SJB is alot better than what the record shows, they have size and if im not mistaken thier pre-season starting QB had a broken wrist to start the season. Plus they play tough competition and tough league. POLY, dont be surprised if they hit double digits in the win column. NORWALK they have not played any competition! The top 10 will have a big shake up this week!!!!
this is la miradas break out year dont count them out
