Mr. Shadow, if Millikan beats Lakewood and Wilson beats Poly, if Norwalk beats La Mirada and Bosco looses and somehow Warren looses, would that equate to Millikan and Wilson ending as either 1 and 2 and it doesn't matter who is 1 or 2 as long as these two teams end up there?

I can answer that by asking another hypothetical question. If Long Beach State men's basketball beats West Virginia, Notre Dame, Kentucky and Duke, and goes undefeated in the Big West, then goes and sweeps through the NCAA Tournament and finishes 35-0, would they be No. 1? Well, yes, they'd be No. 1. But it's not going to happen.

poly needs a new coach. one thats willing to give up his game plan he's had for 10 yrs. that everyone's figured out.

why are so many people saying "poly needs a new coach." that just shows that poly fans are fair weathered fans. raul is having a bad year and you want to get rid of him. ummm...if im correct i think poly has A FEW RINGS and some state titles.

For starters Millikan will not beat Lakewood! and Millikan will also not score those type of points on Lakewood's Defense period if they score at all. The game against Poly and Millikan was extremely sloppy. That will not happen next week against Lakewood I guarantee you. So Mr. Shadow you can respond to changedname question if you want to, but I think I've answered the most important part of his question already...Like I said before be extremelly quiet and just let the show begin...

Millikan will not beat Lakewood. From top to bottom, Lakewood is just a deeper and better team. Of course, if Lakewood turns the ball over 7 times like Poly did friday night, Millikan will have a chance, but I just don't see that happening. If any team turns over the ball 7 times in 1 game they will more than likely lose everytime and most times it doesn't take double over-time to seal the deal.

"happy now Poly haters?" I don't think it's a matter of being a "Poly hater" It's a matter of earning your ranking and being fair. Then again, I think at this point, everybody has lost respect for your rankings...

Now, now, everyone, at the beginning of the season Millikan was picked to end in last place in Moore League by everyone practically. But you guys are correct, let's do the boys do the playing and see how things turn out. I do know this, if Millikan does not win, Wilson has a heck of chance against Lakewood, just check them out. On another note, Poly fans, Mr. Raul Lara has given you back-to-back Pac 5 championships and one state title and you are asking for a new coach. Well, if you guys get that to happen, I see many of the Poly football players ending up transferring to other Long Beach HS which could help Millikan, Wilson, Cabrillo and Jordan down the line, unless you get a Pete Carroll to coach Poly or someone as such.

Hey "changedname"....You really don't know much about Long Beach football. Poly could have lost every game this year and it is still a better alternative to playing at Wilson, Millikan, Jordan or Cabrillo....If you don't play at Lakewood or Poly you are an "also ran". No one respects you for a reason. Millikan needed 9 Poly turnovers and a thousand penalties to beat a "down" Poly team in double OT. The Moore League is really a 2 team league. Why would any football player go anywhere else in the Moore League but Poly or Lakewood if they had a choice?? I'll bet you atleast 3/4 of all the kids on every team other than Poly or Lakewood in the Moore League wishes they could play for Poly or Lakewood. This is true. Also, I'm not a Lara fan but he has a track record that speaks for it's self. Get over it haters!!

Lakewood is not that deep

What do you mean by Lakewood is not that deep? Reality speaks for itself! They are winning!and they lost by one point to Crenshaw the team who is pick to go to state this year. I believe Lakewood will beat Millikan and Wilson. So I will just check back with you after this friday against Millikan for your comments, and after they play Wilson. Like I've been saying just sit back and let the show begin....

Anonymous please! Prove it..I'm willing to bet you will come up empty handed, and every star on that team truely lives in Lakewood and has went to school in Lakewood since their Elementary years. So I would like for you to back your statement up and prove it. Tell me one player that has swap schools at Lakewood that has been on that team this year? And I'm not talking about Jerry Stone either. He has not played this year at all, and he would be the only player you can come up with, and that's just a rumor. However, Poly has been doing that for years, and everyone knows I know one player myself and I can prove it, so please get a life and grow up.

Yo I Speak u Listen, you are one pompous person, just look at the name you given yourself "I SPEAK U LISTEN" wow grow up man. Stop pontificating (look it up if need to) because I bet you do this all the time around people, talk loud to be heard. Oh yeah, maybe kids go to other schools like Millikan, Jordan, Cabrillo and Wilson because they live in the area. If you are so profound in Long Beach football, tell me then, when was the last time Lakewood (which is not part of the city of Long Beach but part of Moore League) was Moore League champ? Also, a win is a win last I check and we all know officiating is difficult even at the pros level and it is done by human beings not perfect people like yourself.

Anonymous, good one man. I bet that is the reason why Mayfair is not a strong program this year, all those kids going to Lakewood for whatever reason. We all know this happens everywhere so let's not say, "Not in Lakewood".

Changedname I can see you don't know what your talking about, because Mayfair is actually in the Bellflower School District for Bellflower residents not Lakewood residents. Lakewood is in the Long Beach School District, so please speak on what you know; not what you think. Once again people not having their facts right and are just running off at the mouth.

To Let's keep it real!, that is exactly my point. If you guys (you Mr or Mrs Real and I talk you listen) had a bit of smarts, you would then say, let's talk about Moore League instead of let's talk about Long Beach football because Lakewood is the city next to us and not part of Long Beach football. Gees, you people in Lakewood consider yourselves smart. The facts are you should say "Let's talk about Moore League Football" not Long Beach football because by saying Long Beach you exclude Lakewood and Compton who are both part of Moore League. So yeah I am keeping it real as far as I know but you need to talk intelligently when it comes to city areas versus leagues.
