You may be right, HSFootballFan, but for Bosco to pull an upset requires a new offensive scheme, player execution and some risk taking on defense. I know that Bosco's players would be up for that challenge, but I am not sure about Bosco's coaches. I hope the coaches will surprise everyone with their creativity on Friday night.
Whats the spread on the Bellflower and Glenn game.
Sorry for the oversight.
Glenn (-5) over Bellflower
I'm doing a 10 team parlay and doing $100

What; no over/unders????
Wow! Over/unders. I suppose I can do those. Maybe I'll wait until the playoffs start since there won't be so many games!
Shadow is a kool bookee name.. haha
I was going to ask about the over/under..
Thanks shadow you da mann..
I DONT THINK THE LAKEWOOD AND WILSON GAME WILL BE THAT CLOSE! I BELIEVE IT MIGHT BE LIKE THE MILLIKAN GAME!
EVERYBODY SAID IT WAS GOING TO BE CLOSE! BUT 60-7!
Bosco has the tools to pull the upset, remember that who ever wins is in the playoffs. So both teams will give it is BEST. Go Braves!
i think that if SJB can stick to the QB they used last week against JSERRA, the one that came in after the SR QB....the one who rallied SJB when down 14-0...i think he is a Sophmore QB...dont know his name...but i saw him play at home against Orange Lu and he look alright. i also herd he threw a 75 yd TD pass last friday night against JSERRA.....i think Mater Dei is still a tough team and see them Pulling this one off..very close though. SJB kept it REALLY close against Orange Lu with that sophmore kid. and Orange Lu did beat Mater Dei If im not mistaken. so i think the Spread is spot on....but a possible Upset could be in the works for SJB over Mater dei in there Rebuilding year after Matt Barkley.
BoscoCritic, totally agree with that assessment.
Also depends on who's playing at QB for Bosco.
The QB position has really been their weakness this year. The rotating chairs thing really hasn't worked out IMO. No stability thus no leadership takes place at that position, on the field.
Mendoza, you better mix it up because Rollo will have the Monarchs ready to battle!!!!!
Bosco can win this one if they keep thier heads together and play with the intensity they played with in the 2nd half vs J Serra. MAter Dei is beatable but their mystique tends to spook thier opponents at times ...... 15 yr old Medina was the QB that ralled the Braves to 42 points in the 2nd half of that game. He is a transfer from St Paul so he may not be intimidated by the MD rivalry. I could see a Bosco victory if the Braves dont turn the ball over as they did last season and they Play smart agressive D
anyone know who the starting QB will be this friday night Vs Mater Dei?
Wow, 15YR old kid.Medina you say?? St Paul Transfer. wonder why Ancich didnt hold on to this kid??...your right the fear factor may not be there if he does start this friday, hopefully he does and i wish him and St John Well. hopefully they can pull it off!!!!
I have heard that it was the Sophmore Sensation
To SJB Coach Kiki Mendoza:
So far this season, your team has not controlled the interior line of scrimmage, particularly on offense. While you have very good running backs, good arms on all three quarterbacks, and agile receivers, your play-calling has been without creativity or surprise.
Remember, when you can't control the line of scrimmage, you have to run the ball counter to pursuit. This means lots of counter-traps, reverses, misdirection, pulling the guards and letting them lead the plays off-tackle or outside. You can't send a good running back up the middle when its 3rd and long if you can't control the defensive line and linebackers.
You can win tonight against Mater Dei, but to do so your game plan has to catch them off guard...because you know that Mater Dei will come prepared.
Go Bosco, and Go Bosco Coaches!
It wasn't ancich decision to make points is he made a choice to come to bosco and play the best and give all he can to the school
