After several painful hours of debate, the City Council -did- award exclusive negotiating rights for Heritage Square to Retirement Housing Foundation.
Voting in support was Bill Bogaard, Victor Gordo, Steve Madison, Margaret McAustin and Sid Tyler.
Steve Haderliein was MIA. Chris Holden left the room before the vote.
Jacque Robinson voted yes, but then left the room, came back, and changed her vote to an abstention.

It wasn't just painful to watch - - - it was excruciatingly B-O-R--I-N-G. Max Weber warned us - oh bureaucracy! People were falling asleep in their seats - people were stepping outside to wake themselves up. They should hand out smelling salts next time!
Is this what they mean by democracy in action?
Is this the company that built one of the Pilgrim Towers projects in Pasadena years ago?
"Jacque Robinson voted yes, but then left the room, came back, and changed her vote to an abstention"---WTF?
Re: Pilgrim Towers: Yes.

Jackie Robinson is CLUELESS.
It is quite obvious that that this is way over her head. Someone told her to vote Yes and then she probably got a cell call in the back room telling her to abstain. It makes absolutely no sense to abstain. It's either YES or NO, especially when it involves the people from the community who probably regretfully voted her in. Thanks for your UNWAVERING control of the situation. Reminds me of the Peter Sellers movie " Being There".
