CBSSports.com eventually tweeted out a link with a post: “Muhammad Ali’s daughter shoots down rumors, confirms Ali is fine and watching Super Bowl at home.”

It led to a tweet from the Associated Press columnist Tim Dalhberg: “The Ali rumors are a perfect example of illegitimate journalism. Check something out before you write it or repeat it as if it was fact.”
