We've caught you up on "The Lost Blogs From Jesus To Jim Morrison" by uberblogger Paul Davidson, but here's the rest of the story ...
We saw it coming last week when word on the website of former Simi Valley resident Angela Ruggiero was that the star player of the U.S. women's Olympic hockey team had a good chance to hear from Donald Trump about a spot on next incarnation of "The Apprentice."
The call came.

You hear the stories about Kobe Bryant. Then you hear how he can be a pretty nice guy. No, really nice. The other day, it hit home, through a few degrees of seperation.

In "The Lost Blogs: From Jesus To Jim Morrison, Sherman Oaks-based screenwriter, TV producer and "Words For My Enjoyment" blogger Paul Davidson recreates the weblogs of 175 iconic historical figures -- if such a thing existed when they were around. Babe Ruth was here. So was Vince Lombardi, Wilt Chamberlain, baseball's so-called inventor Abner Doubleday, and James Naismith, who came up with basketball. We've already seen what Wilt had to say.
Not included in the book -- and this is exclusive to the Daily News -- Davidson found this interesting blog posting that came from the father of a now infamous major-league baseball player:
The super-sized L.A. daily felt the need to put a story on page 1 of its sports section Thursday, headlined: "Bonds TV Show Is Called Out." Which really isn't quite true since the ESPN documentary series is going on hiatus in a couple of weeks (the deck head does somewhat clairify that) and then would come back later in the season.
But, now that you mention it, where did I read that before?
Angela Ruggiero, the Panorama City native and former Simi Valley resident last seen helping the U.S. women's Olympic hockey team to a bronze medal at the Turin Olympics, expects to hear any day now from Donald Trump. Why?
A regular feature on MLB.com's site called "Wild Pitches," which can be found on the magazine link in the news pulldown from the main menu, Ben Platt does off-beat Q-and-A's with big-name major leaguers about things unreleated to their craft.
Read this quote and try to guess who said it:
Three days off for both the Clippers and Phoenix Suns before the seventh game of their Western Conference semifinal series makes no sense. What gives?

I've got a friend who was interested in going, by himself, to the Angels-Dodgers game at Dodger Stadium on Sunday. Just in buying a $6 top-deck seat, the least expensive one in the joint. Until ...

Wilt Chamberlain didn't have a blog? Did he? Well, what if he did ...

Following up a story we did Sunday, Avengers receiver/linebacker Greg Hopkins cleared the first hurdle in becoming a Pennsylvania State House of Representatives member for the 50th district.
My new favorite minor-league baseball team, the Altoona Curve. This time, they're comin' with a real Uncle Charlie.
Mom wanted to see a baseball game on Mother's Day. The Angels were in town. And from what I remember they usually give away good stuff to the moms on that day ...
You got a problem with Durham, North Carolina? Seriously? Let's do some lacrosse-checking on the subject.
The city's visitors bureau knows there's a problem. Enough so that it keeps sending out press releases trying to show how everything's just Dukie in their backward part of the world.
Stuff that could have found its way into today's media column, but didn't make the cut:
Save the date on these two important annual events for ultra-nostalgic baseball fans:
Watch -- or don't -- how ESPN bends over backwards this week to show you every live Barry Bonds at-bat as he sneaks up ever so quietly to Babe Ruth's non-record of 714 home runs. I'm actually surprised they don't make a bigger deal of the fact that passing Ruth will make Bonds the greatest left-handed home run hitter of all time, but that's another angle for another day.
And farther more ...
Thanks for stumbling onto this regular rant that's going to try to go past the drivel that makes it into print every Friday, Saturday and Sunday and then take some wacks at the junk that too often is overlooked and underappreciated ...
