A Star Map Tour sidetrip
Back in the day, would the O'Malley family have charged anyone who wanted to take a tour of Dodger Stadium? Naw, c'mon in. Let me show you where the boys undress after every game. Watch out for those peanut shells.
Today, the Dodgers announced that a "Championship Tour" of the ballpark is available on Tuesdays and Thursdays, at 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.
Just 15 bucks a head....

To do this tour, you've got to go to Ticketmaster -- remember them, the price gougers when it comes to "handling fees" and "service fees" and "soaking you fees" -- or to the advance ticket window on the day of and be prepared to fork out $15 for adults, $12 for seniors and those will military ID, $8 for kids aged 4-14 and nothing for those who have no clue what's going on. It's limited to the first 25 paid for each time, and the walking tour goes 90 minutes with a short video history of the team.
Furthermore from the release that the team sent out today: For groups of 20 or more a private tour can be arranged at a discounted price of $10 for adults, $8 for seniors & military with ID and $5 for kids. To arrange a private tour please call (323) 224-1507. Tours will begin and end at the Top of the Park (Aisle 3) and will include the Tommy Lasorda Training Room, Stadium Club, Luxury Suite, Dugout Club, Umpires Tunnel and the Dodgers’ home dugout.
For 15 bucks, I wouldn't settle for anything less than a three-hour tour that included Roger Owens' peanut stash, the bullpen restroom, the lost-and-found department on the eighth floor (check it out, something you've left behind is probably still there), a spin in Frank McCourt's secretary's office chair and a free squished penny from that machine outside the Top of the Park merchandise store.
