So Cal's All-Time Roster: No. 61
No. 61:
Our pick:
==Rich Saul, Rams (1970-'81)
In a 12-year pro career spanning 176 games, all with the Rams, the 6-foot-3, 240-pound Saul was the heart and soul of the offensive line. OK, maybe that's a stretch, but it's tough not to try to rhyme Saul with soul. The Michigan State grad played guard, tackle and center, and earned the nickname "Supe," as in "super sub" for his versatility. The team's rookie of the year in 1970 was named the Rams' outstanding offensive lineman in '76. Named All-NFC by Pro Football Weekly in 1979, all-NFL by AP in 1980 and all-NFC by UPI in 1980. He made it to six Pro Bowl teams in a row from '76 to '81.
Other No. 61s:
==Chan Ho Park, Dodgers ('94-'01)
Sports Illustrated's choice for the all-time No. 61: Curley Culp (who's wearing No. 78 in the picture shown with the listing).
