So Cal's All-Time Roster: No. 66
No. 66:
Our pick:
==Bruce Matthews, USC football (1980-'82)
Son of Clay Sr., brother of Clay Jr., Bruce set himself apart from the rest by actually making it to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in '07, a first-round draft choice of the Houston Oilers. He was the guard on the NFL's All-Decade Team of the '90s, making it to 14 Pro Bowls in all. He also holds the NFL record for games played (296) and seasons (19) by an offensive lineman when he retired in '01.
At USC, the 6-foot-5, 262-pound Matthews was an '82 consensus All-American out of Arcadia High, a two-time All-Pac-10 performer and inducted into the USC Athletic Hall of Fame in '05, with his brother Clay.
