So Cal's All-Time Roster: No. 73

No. 73:
Our pick:
==Dennis Rodman, Lakers (1999)

rodman.bmp It actually lasted just 23 games during the lockout-shortened season of '98-'99. Signed as a free agent on Feb. 23. Waived on April 15.
He started 11 games, averaged 11.2 rebounds and 2.1 points a game, shooting less than 35 percent from the field and almost as a horrible from the free throw line. Some 31 turnovers and 71 fouls committed. And a few jerseys taken off and thrown into the stands.
Del Harris coached him for 0 games. He was fired the day after Rodman's signing, and Kurt Rambis had to work through it.
In a season that saw Kobe and Shaq suffer through a four-game sweep of San Antonio in the Western Conference finals, and then close out their run at the Forum, Rodman may be remembered as only a blip in a crazy circus of a season.
Does he really deserve this designation? Probably not. But we bet there's still some sports collectors with dozens of signed Rodman 73 jerseys trying to get rid of them on eBay with little to no luck.

Other No. 73s:
==Ron Yary, Rams ('82)
==George Stanich, UCLA basketball ('48-'50)

Sports Illustrated's choice for the all-time No. 73: John Hannah, over Yary and Joe Klecko.

Did we miss anyone?
