What, no Rocket?

The pro-am pairings for the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic (hosted by George Lopez) came out today, and they aren't playing up the fact that Roger Clemens, pictured in many of the promotional material for the PGA Tour event over five courses in Palm Springs, will be a no-show.
Clemens last week withdrew, according to some media reports. He won the pro-am event twice.
Perhaps he's got bigger issues to deal with these days.
Among the pairings announced for the event, which starts Wednesday:
At the Silver Rock Resort, the celebs in the field playing with the pros Wednesday include defending champion Charley Hoffman with host Lopez, Luke Wilson and Samuel L. Jackson. John Daly will be Chris O'Donnell and Kyle MacLaughlin; Woody Austin gets Alice Cooper and Meat Loaf; Scott McCarren will play with former ABC broadcaster Keith Jackson and Tommy Gainey is with Yogi Berra.
As for celebrity fields, it's not a great one.
The highlight of the weekend appears to be Friday when, at the Palmer PGA West Course, Daly gets the Lopez-Wilson-Jackson threesome with a 10:45 a.m. tee off from the 10th. Who'll bring the booze?
Here's more on the pairings at the event's official site.
