We're heading out to Santa Anita to gather material for upcoming media coverage and other columns. Meanwhile, here's a rundown of what the nine-plus hours of TV will be for the 14-race event this week:

==Tuesday: TVG will televise the live draw for the Filly and mare Turf, Ladies Classic, the Turf and the Classic at 1 p.m. All 14 races will be drawn on this day in two separate announcements.

==Wednesday: Breeders' Cup Preview Show, 2 p.m., ESPN2

==Friday, 12:30 to 3:30 p.m., ESPN2: Five races:
* Filly/Mare Sprint
*Juvenile Turf
*Juvenile Fillies
*Filly and Mare Turf
*Ladies' Classic (formerly the Distaff)

==Saturday, 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Channel 7: Four races:
*Marathon
*Turf Sprint
*Dirt Mile
*Mile

==Saturday, 12:30 to 4 p.m., ESPN, Five races:
*Juvenile
*Juvenile Turf
*Sprint
*Turf
*Classic

==Saturday, 4 to 5 p.m., FSN Prime Ticket: Wrapup show

Other coverage:
==KSPN-AM's Mason and Ireland go live from the event Friday on 710-AM from 1 to 4 p.m.
==ESPN Classic reairs the preview show Thursday at 3:30 p.m.
==ESPN360.com will simulcast the ESPN, ESPN2 and ABC telecasts live.
==For the first time, commercials will nearly cut in half from last year, to enable ESPN to have more time for stories.
==Joe Tessitore will host the telecasts with analysts Jerry Bailey and Randy Moss. Kenny Mayne will work with handicapper Hank Goldberg. Jeannine Edwards, Jay Privman, and Caton Bredar (on horseback) will serve as reporters. Jessica Pacecho is the odds analyst, while Nick Luck is the European horse analyst and Tom Rinaldi will interview key personalities in the sport. Bill Nack will contribute essays and features, while Trevor Denman will call the races.

==ESPN covers it with 34 cameras, including a RaiView gyro camera on a truck driving on the infield.

==Features on the telecast include:
