Santana's evil ways: A bloody nose, and salty language

| | Comments (0) |

A clip from the Fox Sports West telecast of the Angels' postgame show on Friday, June 5, after Ervin Santana had an impressive outing at Detroit -- a 2-1 victory for his first win of the season (story, box score linked here).

After catching up in Tampa today with Jose Mota to ask him about it, he said Santana has since issued an apology. Mota said he didn't hear the slip of the profanity when it happened live.

"I know Ervin feels bad about it, he just meant to say he was going to 'forget about it,' and it was in the heat of the moment," said Mota.

Mota says it's kind of ironic because Santana is finally feeling more comfortable doing interviews in English. Mota has been used to him giving just simple answers but this was the first time he really elaborated on certain questions.

And elaborated to the extent that it'll be a YouTube classic soon.
