The 'Bollywood' angle to these NBA Finals....

IASW3.jpgReally, there isn't one. The "Slumdog Millionaire" element, you can probably figure out -- more millionaire than slums or dogs.

From shuffling through the NBA media press package, we find that India is covering the 2009 Finals for the first time -- one of 215 countries and territories that are carrying the games in 42 languages. There are 250 international media folk from 32 countries present in L.A. this weekend. Of the 55 international media outlets (TV and radio and Websites) here, 14 are doing live commentary onsite. That would include 32 Spanish media, 14 Polish media and 8 from Turkey. And good ol' Al Jazeera Sport is here beaming things to the Middle East.

NBA League Pass are also online in more than 80 countries to allow Internet coverage, and it is being streamed on NBA.com/china for the first time.

The league has 21 broadcast partners airing the NBA Finals for the first time including:
One, Australia / BesTV (HD), China / Inner Mongolia TV, China / Jiangxi TV, China / Shenzhen Radio, China / Sohu.com, China / Yunnan TV, China / NBA TV (Claro), Dominican Republic / NBA TV (Tricom), Dominican Republic / Orange Sport, France / Hikari TV, Japan / NBA TV (Baltkom), Latvia / NBA TV (LCTA), Lithuania / NBA TV (TEO), Lithuania / Channel 28, Mexico / Sky Sports, Mexico / DirecTV Latin America, Pan-Latin America / Al Jazeera Sport +1, Pan-Middle East / Orange Sport, Poland / Chungwha Telecom, Taiwan / and Setanta Sports 1, United Kingdom.
