Sense Yountville offers best food and wine of Napa on May 3

The Sixth Annual Sense Yountville will be held on May 3 at V Marketplace-Vintage Estate. Along with enjoying some of the best the Napa Valley has to offer, your purchases will benefit veterans of current wars.

“While our participating winemakers and chefs are marquis names at world-class events all over the country, this is about hometown pride right here in our own backyard,” said Scott Lewis, proprietor of V Wine Cellar and organizer of the event. “Napa Valley is a mecca for both food and wine lovers; this event was designed to showcase what we do right here at home, and being able to help our Vets certainly sweetens the deal this year.”

Whether you’re looking for an exclusive opportunity to lay hands on highly allocated wines, or hoping to discover some of Napa Valley’s hidden gems, this curated tasting replete with pairings from Yountville’s top chefs delivers more than 20 wineries and a dozen chefs under a single roof.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit The Pathway Home, a Yountville-based residential program serving veterans of current wars. The event is limited to 350 guests to maintain quality of both food and wine on offer and targets discerning wine buyers — epicureans seeking an excellent value on both marquis names and small, lesser-known producers.

Sense Yountville culminates in a live feed Kentucky Derby viewing and artisan cocktail soiree, by SF’s own Bourbon & Branch.  Dress in your finest seersucker or summer frock and chapeau and simulate the experience of Churchill Downs by sipping a specialty Mint Julep and cheering on your favorite thoroughbred.

Informal modeling of summer fashions, exclusive prize drawings to benefit The Pathway Home and entertainment round out the eventful day.

Tickets are available online at www.senseyountville.com or call 707-944-5625.
