BP~BRAVES 32 GLENN 17

Saint Francis 27 Los Altos 17

Damien 34 CO 12

Rancho Cucamonga 24 West Covina 12

The final score was 34-21 in favor of the Panthers. Their defense looked solid, especially in the second half. When they get their running backs healthy they might have a better shot against those other schools.

i was at the DRHS-Ayala game tonight---max preps was wrong, it was 34-14 in the 4th qtr when i split---D Ranch was toying with them to that point. Ayala had no running game, no strong O-lineplay/no dominant RB, Ayala can throw the ball but D Ranch handled that threat when they had to...... DRHS has had a tough sched to this point and needed a break(Edison-Chino Hills-Servite, and they play Oaks Christian next week!), so they booted the doormat of sierra league around tonight----DRHS played solid on both sides of the ball with nice drive killing picks by Lengyl and Rubacalva....to stop the Bulldogs in their tracks in the 2nd half....they will need to play just like that in league to have a chance against Los Altos and Charter Oak.....should be some snot bubbles and mouth pieces flying when those teams collide!

GHS will come out smoking this friday against Capo Valley. I agree with the Tribune picky's this week. Best of luck to Damien and CO...I've got buds and family in both stands. LA and SF will also be a great one to attend. I haven't (as of yet) figured out how to be at two game sites at the same time.

I'm covering the Ayala vs. Diamond Ranch game for the paper tonight. Maxpreps is predicting (based on each school's previous performances) Ayala will win 31-20.
I have a feeling that the Bulldogs will pull it out.
