The Weekly Aaron Harris Game OVER/UNDER
El Monte had better have been doing tackling drills this week ...

I'm starting to think that I should put up an over/under on how long Harris will play, and not his yards. Braves coach James Heggins has been a nice guy and smart not to risk his franchise during blowouts.
This weeks OVER/UNDER: 210 1/2 yards
Week 1: 133 yards vs. Azusa UNDER
Week 2: 139 yards vs. West Covina OVER
Week 3: 156 yards vs. Sierra Vista UNDER

For the record, Harris and the other starters did not play the entire 3rd quarter, they came out mid way through when the score was 70 - 6. Check the stats before you think of judging Heggins. Through a reliable sorce I learned that Harris carried the ball 8 times that night, 5 of which resulted in TD's, 1 pint return to the house. The score was rediculous not because they ran the score up, but because SV wasn't smart enough to run the football and use the clock. When you pass the ball 3 plays in a row and they're incomplete, then punt from your 20 yard line to a stud like Harris every series..... that's what happens. BP could have easily scored 100pts and that is the truth...The stats show that SV did everything except carry BP into the endzone..Keep up the good work BP, Your Rival should of had better clock management.

Footballfan you are showing your ignorance! While coaching does have a little to do with the outcome of these games the kids are not the "same" at both schools. That is unless you mean they are predominately Hispanic. BP has a history of success in football. That tradition goes a long way. El Monte and Sierra Vista don't have the tradition factor. I saw the Sierra Vista and El Monte game. Fricken Bobby Bowden could not win with the players those two schools have against mediocer to good schools. They off the coaches! Otherfatguy, lay off coach Heggins he is a quality individual!

Other Fat Guy, do you know what your talking about?? Do you know bp and harris could have done? The score against SV could have been 150 - 6 if they wanted it to be. Coach Heggins has major heart. Harris has less yards at this point than he did last years because hes getting yanked early. Dont come down on a coaching staff that has pulled its starters in 3 games. If you want to whine about the conn. rule maybe you should look at the oaks christian st. bonie game. Did tyler have 17 touches and 269 yards w 5 tds. Would anybody in cif have the balls to bench that head coach? I will quote one of my favorite lines ever as told to me be an opposing coach, "If you don't want to get blown out and embarassed, GET BETTER!" The 2 schools bp has played have the exact same kinds of kids bp has, the problem lies in their coaching staff

Seriously though.. Aaron "Hurricane" Harris looked more like Reggie Bush simply because he was going against the El Monte Lions defense. Same time that night was another embarassing game with Mountain View at Covina District Stadium and the Colts.. why do the bottom two teams of the MVL want to schedule these embarassing games with the top two of the Valle Vista?? Everyone has a plan until they get hit!

I love how people think that Coach Heggins has a heart and all of the other good things people say.
Does anyone realize the starters (including Mr. Harris) played 3 full quarters versus Sierra Vista?!?!? The score when Harris came out was 63-6! ... Come on! Maybe we should have the Connecticut rule where the coach is suspended for games over 50 pts. difference. Maybe then we could stop the senseless drubbing of the weaker teams and the schools who schedule them.
By the way - Harris gets 165 for playing 3 and 1/2 qtrs and 4 tds in a blowout - BP 49, EM 14
