This week's Tribune Top 10 ...

This is one of those rare times where a loss isn't costly ...

1. West Covina (0-1) - I've seen six teams play thus far, and this is the most impressive.

2. Los Altos (2-0) - Offense will move on anyone.

3. Rowland (1-0) - Didn't exactly set the world on fire against a solid Cal High team.

4. Charter Oak (0-1) - The next two weeks should be about getting street credit back.

5. Bishop Amat (1-1) - Season could go either way right now.

6. Damien (1-1) - Jury is still out on the defense, but it won't be after the next three weeks.

7. Wilson (1-0) - When the 'Cats are 5-0, the discussion will be about strength of schedule.

8. Glendora (1-0) - Strength of schedule really takes off after Duarte game.

9. South Hills (0-2) - Bogan will turn close losses into wins by November.

10. Covina (0-1) - Offense clearly needs a few games to get rolling.

Dropped out: Arroyo
Getting closer: Bonita

how long had there been complaints at WC re/ stadium dilapidation? if it goes back before the 2005 season then someones gotta be assessed some penalty, no???....

I believe they RED TAGGED the entire thing right??

WC and LA should be tied for 1st. HH Wilson and Glendora are quite overrated. HH Wilson is the likeliest to (eventually) quote "make my argument look bad" because Glendora was crushed during passing league at South Hills;

For now....unless wilson does go 5-0....

west co yu can afford that big bull dog but yu cant fix your stadium lol.

Programs have WAY too much money on their hands if they can afford a fun-house bulldog. What happened to some good 'ol construction paper and paint? This is just another evolution in prep sports. Wow is all I have to say.

rowland at 3,cool ,yes aram they didnt light the world on fire but it was week one lets hope that all the small things were worked out i still believe in this team at least for now.To tell yu the truth if they play on all cylinders they well be tuff to beat thats if they do.

top 4 teams from the same Division?.....wow, no problem with that, playoffs should be very interesting this year...only prob with the rankings is LA @ #2...even though i am a LA fan i have seen both games thus far and it seems as though they are very very predictable on offense. NUMBER 12 NUMBER 12 NUMBER 12...until the coaching staff decides to start trusting another player on the team it could be hell watching #2 trying to squeeze the ball into 2 or three defenders on those patented one man routes...nothing against Rex Foss he is a hell of a player just frusturating to see that we dont want to open turn the page on our playbook

Aram,

I agree, WC is awesome this year. I'm also impressed with Glendora. I was reading several of the postings and I don't understand why some people have such vicious things to say about the Tartans. No doudt their hatred must be based on past feelings because this years team looks really good. I saw the Colts/Tartan game and was really blown away at the strength of the Tartan defense, especially the goal line stand. These boys aren't the biggest kid's on the block, but I bet they could cause great headaches for any of the league QB's.

Looking forward to the Damien/Claremont game. I have Claremont by 14
