75,328 hits this month!!!

Kids, sit down! Save your applause for the 100,000-hit month. It's coming.
NUMBERS DIGESTION: Some people in our ownership group have accused me of having a big family. Nope, believe me that's not it. It's just that the SGV prep sports fans are the best around. I can remember when I used to wonder about when this site would reach 100,000 hits, total. Now, it's not a wild monthly goal. This blog gets considerably more hits month after month. September had around 57,000 hits. We have almost 20,000 more this month. If this keeps up, maybe we'll do 100,000 hits in a month. Anyway, like I've said before, this is great exposure for our area athletes and it's good for killing time while at work. How can you lose?

Aram, I love this, I wish I would have known about the Blog earlier this year. As far as the Pizza thing goes, I'm in. The week before the play-offs would be great. I'm in Riverside, but sounds cool. I have nothing to hide, we all love our kids and we love sports. Hell, we might have played sports against each other when we were kids. If Rowland was 0-10, I would still come in with Smack. I'm In. And that's right, It's me TOMMY T OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mike it wouldn't be the same without you, bluorca and Rowland Joe, Tommy T, Jim Garrison, Jefrulerson, checkin in, everyone. It would be nice to see Casteneda's dad again and shot it with McD, and Chavez followers!
That's my point- people are better when they meet each other and see they have more common ground and a common love for the game. Blogging can get nasty, believe me I know, but I think it would do wonders for the players who have read this non-sense (at times) to see that people can disagree without being disagreeable.
Hope you reconsider. Remember,we all love the game, love our kids and love our schools...see we already have alot in common!
So how many tables should we reserve. Any Amat people coming out? Rowland in the House?
Give it some thought...
Season ending
"PIZZA BLAST!" I'm in for 5 pizzas!
Aram, it might make for a nice piece! What do you think? before the playoffs?

Sorry Mike the Clone won't be at the blogger pizza blast, I am currently enrolled in the "bagpiper" football critics protection program. Not to mention the lastest threat against me from SOME, NOT ALL JAA coaches in the San Gabriel Valley.
With all the threats I don't think the Tribune could afford to hire the whole Glendora Police Department to escort me in and out of there.
Sounds like it would be fun though heck I would have made it my first date with Nisha if Aram would have allowed it.
OPPPS back to reality!
Out!

GO Bleeds Blue & Gold! Verti does read this blog because it is evident by some of the changes he has made. To name a few-Wells at QB! & moving Austin to different line position. Amazing, he has no clue, but the suggestions he has been willing to take have worked. Hopefully he will empty the bench before he fills the local hospital. He has no clue about how to run this program and it is a good thing that there is a place for us Alums and parents to vent or we would explode. Thanks AT.

I am the ORIGINAL Bleeds Blue and Gold, accept no imitations.
If most coaches read this blog, then here goes:
VERTI, whatever your're doing, it ain't working! Try using the OTHER guys on the bench. They're worth something!
Posted by: Bleeds Blue and Gold | October 31, 2006 2:27 PM
I promise that you most coaches read this blog. It's nothing to feel ashamed about. Most deny it, but hey.

Thanks for the blog space Aram. This is a place where we can predict and if anyone is listening voice our opinions when it comes to our schools team. The Jim Rome Stuff is off the wall but nonetheless funny at times. I know first hand coaches are coming on the blog to see what we think of them and the way their program is running. Good way to get thru to coach. If he is not reading this I am sure some of his assistants are and are taking the info back to him.....

first of all, thanks to you aram!! i don't know who you had to sell at the trib to get this going, but i think its great. the kids love it, and, for the most part, they have all been standup and proper as can be. i love it as a parent too. i have many co-workers who enjoy it as well. i have also turned many a parent on to it on a weekly basis. i'll keep up the good work for you, lol!
the weekly videos and 2 minute drill are alot of fun to watch and hear, even if its not your favorite team being highlighted.
lastly, go south hills! keep up the good work! its been a tough season and the young kids have come along way. as i said early on this year, the future looks bright at shhs. out!

One of the great things about this site is that it allows me to do things I otherwise couldn't do in the paper or on the website. Because of this, the only Tribune websites doing better in terms of hit counts are the prep scoreboard and prep sports website (i.e. where the stories are). It's total prep sports domination for the entire paper in terms of hit counts. Numbers like these make uppper management more likely to let the prep guys do more because the demand is there. It's not a surprise to me, but might have been for them. I know what drives our paper ...

Congratulations Aram, you have put in many hours to make this blog work and it runs like a well oiled ma... a well oiled..hmmm. well it runs.. lol..
Kudos to all who read and post in here also as this place would be nothing without all of your imput.
So let the games continue and the San Gabriel Valley show what it has in store for everyone else.
GO CO!!

Bloggers Pizza Blast !!!
Just wondering...
If any bloggers want to get together before the season ends and have pizza/drinks and brag about our teams and release some tension, lol. It seems as if the Blog at times has gotten very personal and maybe getting to meet each other would do wonders for bringing out the best in all of us. You know putting a face to the name and all sometimes helps bring people together.
I recently meet Randy from DB after he mentioned his uncle went to my school and was a former team mate of mine. Both our kids were playing in the Damien/Diamond Bar JV game and it was nice to know we were just "proud dads" wanting our kids to have fun and try hard. We meet in the stands and just talked for 20 minutes and wished each other well.
Really interested in seeing if other bloggers would be interested in participating. Anyone know of a pizza place that could survive Aram's bloggers? I think that would make for a great story of people coming together in a positive way.
Just wondering...

Best thing that ever happen for local preps coverage. I used to look forward to reading maybe a half to 1 pager in the sports prep section of the Tribune, now I can catch up on all the prep news and then some anytime any day. Just got to weed out some of the nonsense though.
Thanks Aram!!!
Good luck to all SGV football teams this week.

All-Valley/Trib All-Area is very much up in the air at every position. It's very obvious it won't be easy this year. We'll see what happens in the playoffs.

Aram,
Thanks for this forum. It has changed the way High School football fans discuss their favorite team and sport. I have to give you credit on your ability to stay on top of all these diverse programs and their changing story lines. It really shows your passion for this level of football and these kids really deserve every word you write about them. I appreciate the stories on my favorite team and when there is'nt one I realize there are alot of deserving programs who are getting theirs that week and that the Tribune writers are fair and balanced when deciding who will get a spotlight story and front page sports headlines. Hell Im a Workman alum and even though the lobos are'nt at the top tier in this valley those kids need to be recognized for their accomplishments. So once again THANK YOU ARAM AND THE REST OF CORRESPONDENTS WHO ARE ON THE FIELDS AFTER EVERY GAME!
VANNER
P.S.
Can we get the scoreboard to work on windows 2.0 cell phone internet, everything else on the prep site works but that.
