News flash for VOLEK

Damien doesn't have "scrubs".

We have "subs": second stringers, third stringers, scout team players, underclassmen, seniors and juniors- Ultimately they are all SPARTANS!

Remember most of this team's starters never played more than a couple of downs a game and would have been in the "bench clearing" you witnessed against DB this year...LAST YEAR!

Several, in fact, should make ALL LEAGUE when it's all said and done!

Yo! This is tight.

hey thanks bro......i dont think DB's Nick Cuccia is related to Ron or Vic, our guy played high school ball at Lincoln in the 60's....hmmm..... its been a tough year but we are very proud of our kids, they are going to fight to the finish.....a small team to begin with, QB and FB injured early in the season,...but none of them quit.....2 more tough games to go, it sure would be nice to drop a W over either of them, now thats a reach---i know...i know, but i've seen bigger upsets! BELIEVE! you gotta believe!

Randy:
Sorry you had to work, the kids could have used your presence to boost them on. Yes, DB did hold Damien scoreless in the 2nd half, however, give Coach Morrison credit for benching his stringers and playing his reserves all of the 2nd half. Only a confident, caring coach would do that. He could have run up the score but why? A win is a win and anyone at the game knows how Damien won.

Question, don't know much about DB coaching staff. Is Coach Cuccia related to Ron and Vic Cuccia? Vic was my coach way back when. Have lost track of him. Just wondering.

Good luck to the remainder of DB's game and hope you can be there to see them win.

3,000 fans?

To MATMTWTBAG, YeeHawDooDah, and especially “Lion pride (Is that you Tabatabai?): You obviously do not know the kind of home field advantage the Knights have when playing at B.L. Bergstrom Stadium…No other MVL team can boast about roughly 3,000 rowdy fans that have the spirit and pride to influence a game and cheer their Knights on to victory, and there is no other team that makes us more angry and fired-up than the panthers. Basically, no other team beats rosemead quite like ARROYO. PS We’re coming for you “Lion Pride…be afraid.
ALL ABOARD THE KNIGHT TRAIN!

maybe....but DB is loaded with underclassmen, very few seniors (less than 10), if you were there then you saw it.....its a tough road to travel, but what are you gonna do until they realign us into the 8 man small school div? well, maybe not that far down but who knows.....good luck to Damien, i hope they FINALLY make a run in the playoffs....and represent the Sierra League as it should be, not just one and done chumps.......run the table baby, i hope you drop some bombs on those I.E. monsters out there!

Randy,
You kept Damien scoreless in the second half because they put their scrubs in with a minute left in the second quarter until the end of the game. I wouldn't want to see what the score would have been if Mendrun and company were in all game

CU at the game......i had to work...or i'd have been there........through rain, sleet, or snow....DB did hold you scoreless in the second half.....the've done that to several opponents this yr, they just get bamboozled and trounced by half time!.....i stand by the men in purple and gold now and forever!.....and by coach cuccia!......will that sophomore laden Offense score a TD in league this year?...... who knows??? anxiously awaiting these last 2 weeks.....-the DB faithful.........where did our glory days go?????........i see another DB area team on the move though....lets give it up for Diamond Ranch! its only taken them 10 yrs, but they could be making thier move this yr baby!

Another win for the Damien Spartans! By the end of the first quarter (21-0) against Diamond Bar, I was beginning to feel sorry for DB - not only were they having game problems but they had very little fan base. Where are the loyal DB fans that should be supporting their team, win or lose? Those boys practice hard all week long and they deserve better support from students, family and friends. Come on DB - if your team was winning, the stands would be full at home and away. Get out and support those boys, they need you!

too bad bearcats you lost to charter oak...good game though!

Check out these clips of Reggie Bush in high school. Bush went to Helix High in San Diego. He's was amazing back then too. The first clip is repeated in slow motion that was a little too slow for my liking but the other clips are just real time so be patient...HE WAS UNSTOPPABLE!!!

What's with the badmouthing going on between schools? I'm not sure why it's allowed...BP talking smack about Northview and last time they had a running back etc...Northview has had Remington Hawkins, Sean Houston, James Overstreet, and Will Davis wasn't bad either...I'll give Harris some cred, he's a good one, but he wants to get outside and avoid the middle, thus, he's a speed back, but not a complete guy. Coldstone #7 at Covina will have a good game against BP. No contest.

Predictions:
Northview 28 Pomona 14 Playng well now.
Bishop Amat 13 Crespi 21 Amat not enough.
Covina 35 Baldwin Park 21- Coldstone#7 has good game to lead team.

Glendora 33 Chino 10

..........OK, so it just happened, but what a dominant game by our Bagger Boys! Peaking at just the right time? It's starting to look that way. I think Aram was right, this team will/is getting better as the season progresses, just had a down week against a tough Damien team and a few mid-season questions to answer. Passing game coming on, special teams improving, D-fence tough as ever.

THANKS ARAM, I APPRECIATE YOU FOCUSING ON THE POSITVE OF THESE ATHLETES AND NOT THE NEGATIVE.

As if you guys needed to be told, please don't bash kids on this site. I appreciate the gallant effort of those of you who try to sneak in ice cream references and other things, but they aren't going to run unless we're talking about flavors.

HARRIS SCORES MORE THAN MCDONOUGH???? IN WHAT PASSING TDS, RUSHING TDS, OR FIELD GOALS????
MAYBE HE SCORES IN THE RUNNING BACK POSITION, BUT MCDONOUGH PLAYS QUARTERBACK, RUNNINGBACK, STARTING MIDDLE LINEBACKER AND JUST RECENTLY KICKED THREE FIELD GOALS TO STAND IN FOR HIS KICKER. (3 FOR 3) ICE CREAM BANDIT???? YOU DON'T KNOW THE FACTS. THE ONLY BANDIT HE HAS BEEN LATELY IS THE "TAKE YOUR TEAMS DREAMS OF VICTORY AWAY BANDIT."
