Yeah!

i hope Amat wins tonight, weather bluorca QB's, or luvthisgame, or wells, or carrillo.....i like to see Amat on top, being the ONLY true rep of D1/PAC5 football in the valley....now i didnt go to Amat, my kid doesnt play there either, so dont make me out to be a hater---i do have some family there though (who doesnt) and you dont have to be Amat alumni or have your kid riding the pine to be certified to write on this or have a opinion (obviously).......but QB draws are all i'd seen from wells so far, we'll just see what happens tonight i guess......my best wishes to the Amat folks, i like to see the catholic schools kick a$$ every year....more power to 'em !

It's never a great idea to for any team to make any severe changes in the middle of the season unless, of course, it works. But I do not see what Amat has to lose anyways. The way things are right now, I see Amat struggling againts Crespi,Loyola, and ND with Crespi being the easiest game. Crespi is probably better than St. Francis as a team overall. Loyola reminds me of Amat but they are still very talented and lets not forget that they beat the speed of Comptom Dominguez . Notre Dame is in a class of its own as everyone knows. We have to remember that a player that does well during practice doesn't necessarily mean that this player would do well under the lights/crowd. And a fast player does not necessarily mean that this player can also catch. Speed and strength alone does not make a good nor necessarily effective player but rather a combination of all factors. And there are so many factors involved and unless you are in a coaching position, you wil never see all the angles when it comes to deciding who gets to starts and who doesn't. Amat practices 6 days a week...thats A LOT of practice time and A LOT can go on that most people are not witnessing, unless you are a coach or someone that goes to EVERY practice. So we must be cautious what we wish for when it comes to the 2nd string and beyond because Verti might give it to us. I'm not referring to anyone in particular but generally, it would not help the team if we have a QB that has an arm but lacks accuracy, or a WR than has speed but also has butterfingers, or a RB that can burn and cut but has trouble holding onto the ball. The list is endless. But aside from all this, and again, what does Amat have to lose with a little experimentation? I think the offense could only improve. But no matter how much better/worse our offense performs our greatest weakness is our young defense. We CANNOT get in a shooting match with any of these higher caliber schools because it will be OUR defense that will allow more points than theirs. If our defense cannot step up (and they HAVE been improving) then it wont matter who is QB or RB for the Lancers. We scored a lot of points againts Hart and Valencia but they scored more. This has to stop or we will continue to see Amat involved in shootouts with Amat losing to scores like 49-34 or 56-45 or some other crazy score. So yes, I do welcome any offensive experiments (minus trick plays) but it will be our defense that will make or break Amat's season.

Interesting to see how people that are suppose to be fans are really trying to pull a team a apart... lancerblueandgold seems again that someone close to you is not playing... Amat won last week... why are you trying to take away from it... calling out the coaching staff after a win ... people we need to support the team and the staff... true fans support their program and their kids no matter what... seems like you are hoping that Amat does bad so that you can say you told everybody... why even show up and watch cause obivously you just want to put down and not build up... if Amat loses tonight then they will work hard next week to get better and you will complain... if they win you will complain, lancerblueandgold and other amat haters cause they should have done it better... All fans lets just support our boys and teams... Lets Go Get the Eagles!!! Let's Go Blue and Gold!!!

Wow! Something BIG. I know what it is too. Not sure how big it will be for how long. That will depend on how quickly Chaminade can adjust. We better have some other tricks up our sleeves as luvthisgame indicates or we will have a long ride home.
A few have mentioned this Tillis kid again. I know he has wheels & an arm. Had a few opportunities to watch him in the passing leagues and JV last year. He always made a postive impact when given a chance-moved down the field in the right direction. Hope the coach gets a clue and let's him play this game. It's not like we can't use the help. If the O is changing then Tillis is probably the guy they should go with. He can move, throw on the run both to the left and right and he get into the inzone on his own if nothing is open. I also heard that his QB coach is the same guy they turned down to coach the QBs. Hmmmmm!

Heck, hope the coach uses the great bench he has all around. What about Wagner as a tailback? Did you see him in JV last year? How about we use the talent where they are known to play as well as expose them to other positions; not instead of. What is with this all or nothing mentality.

Where is number 29-Lopez, I believe. He is quick, fast and can take a hit. Can't he play at tailback or kick return? He blocks his butt off in games, but he could be putting some points on the board for Amat.

Hope to see Silva getting some passes at the tight-end spot to mix it up.

Let's have an all around game not simply pass or run plays. We need variety gentlemen. Balance and flexibility are needed now. Get those 40 guys off of the bench and let's see if they surprise you. They have been there all season dedicated to your staff, how about you show them a little dedication and play them.

League is a comin' we need to win, rotate the guys in and we just might get some "true" wins! Hope the coaches don't plan to just sit back and have the talented bench stand on the sidelines again this week and watch while we lose or "almost" lose like they have in past games.

I am going for the Amat win, that is if the coaching staff comes with the bench this week!

I must be seeing and hearing things. Based on what Randy said about my QB and offense thoughts, the coaches must be "FB no nothings" also, because they are doing exactly what I have been suggesting for weeks. Can I say I told you so? Hey Bluorca, are you in the boat with me and SGV Athlete on this one now too? Sure hope so. MATMTWTBAG, good comments, you were also on point about that Tillis kid. Hey coaches, If anything happens to Wells (hope not), you sure could put Tillis in to run this new O. He has the wheels and the arm to "get the job done". AMAT will win in a close one, but watch the "NEW O" go.

A rout SGV Athlete? Well, a smaller one but a 3 score victory...Do share your info with the other kids. Do we have a new QB?

what did i say about san dimas, they cant win when there not at home with help from the zebra.

dang, now i have to drive all the way out to West Hills to see AMAT take on Chaminade. This is going to be a good game. don't know much about Chaminade other than that they are in West Hills and the schools name is "Chaminade College Prep". what i do know is that AMAT needs a good win before going into league. AMAT opens up league aganist a tough Crespi squad and a win over Chaminade will give them a confidence boost [not that they need one after St. Francis]. and from what i've heard, everyone should be in for a BIG surprise that i didn't even see. AMAT has made some "changes" and i think they could be for the better...

AMAT 34
