everyone on here is taking everything personal because of the grades they got. thats just bullshit. aram's not putting any team down, he's just speaking what he sees in his point of view. if your teams got a grade you think was too low then how about them coming and trying to prove otherwise on friday nights. but until then suck it up and stop your bitching.

to the person complaining about the lack of coverage for arroyo- first of all you play in a terrible league with weak teams. try playing in a competitive league and im sure you wouldnt have won anywheres close to 16 out of 22-and what has arroyo ever done in the playoffs?-theres a reson they call it the miserable valley league!

I think this is hilarious. However, I have one question. When you talk about Bonita and Duarte you say they have not passed any tests. Yet Baldwin Park gets an A? What test have they passed. No offense, but my non-English speaking grandmother could figure out how to get him the ball against the likes of Azusa (garbage), Sierra Vista (Toxic Waste), El Monte, (Garbage) and Glenn (Have they ever had a winning record. The only test they had was West covina and they failed. I'd like to see them start the first half without him and see how well they could do. Seen thme on film. They are average. He, however, is phenomenal.

Your dart throwing at our GT coaches, players, and fans,doesn't work in G-town. We that are more in tune to "what is" and "what is not" have a better grasped of the internal relationships within our own program. When you have such disrespect for the game, the players, the coaches and that illusive thing called "team chemisrty"!

You never do your homework do you? You don't"see" things very well do you? It's right in front of you and yet you stumble around and poke for answers. You must have been a horrible coach!

Played for Coach Ruedaflores. (see wrong again) Didn't read Fred's piece did you? Tisk tisk tisk, bad coaching.

We were in a slump my senior year and going to play Alemany who was on a roll and beat the first place team bad. Ship was rocky and players needed something.

Coach Ruedaflores gathers the team after practice and tells us that the coach at Alemany was a friend of his. That he was a Mexican from the neighborhood and that he'd refused to take his calls or give us game film. Told us the Alemany coach was ashamed of being Mexican. Our school was 95% Mexican! He told us that the coach was so embarassed by us that he was going to blow us out ! BAD, and run up the score!( remember this was late '70s all you PCers) He told us to expect to be called names and that if Alemany won it would be his greatest regret. He told us Alemany rescheduled their Homecoming so that they could have a blowout that night! He told us the last time our school played them he was a senior in the early 60's. He told us that when he played Alemany in his senior year Alemany had built a brand new white fence around their field and when we beat them that night, they were so made they kicked their own fence down,. Coach Ruedaflores said, "I'll never forget that! Seeing them kick THAT FENCE DOWN!! They were so mad!"

On Game night,the last thing he told us before we took the field that night was this,

"They're getting ready to embarass you tonight, they'll embarass your families and everything you stand for! You hear them out there yelling and laughing! They're laughing at YOU! YOUR FAMILIES! YOUR TEAM! YOUR SCHOOL! I want the Captains over here! When the referee ask for the call, heads or tails...answer him in Spanish! No matter what! Answer him in Spanish! You understand!!"

Man the team exploded! I'll remember this as long as I live. Coach Ruedaflores swearing at the coach in Spanish the whole game! Cavron!Bendejo! And a couple of Cinga tu madres! For good measure! lol The refs didn't speak Spanish but we knew what Coach was doing! We'd score or get a sack , bam, there goes Coach getting bilingual on him! LOL We won 28-0! And to this day I don't know if he even KNEW Alemany's Head Coach! He didn't look Mexican to me! lol But he looked pretty confused all night! LOL

Coach Ruedaflores is a great man. Maybe you should read Fred'd piece before you say another word. He's retiring from Alhambra this year. Mike get yourself together.

Aram, please allow Robledo to cover ARROYO just like you both cover rosemead. Arroyo has larger student pop and fan base and has been more successful. Besides you have plenty of teams to cover... Arroyo deserves to be covered by the Star-News too.

I know you put Arroyo as #10 in you pre-season list, and now they are 1-4 heading into league, but let me assure you they will go undefeated in league.

Well, please allow me to express my grade for you in terms of coverage of ARROYO: (D) - You do the minimum by atleast always having a reporter at the games, but you have not had a single 2-minute drill of them. We expect more for the game vs. SEM. This program has won league 16 of the last 22 years, get with the coverage already! Robledo's grade for coverage is: (F)

I would hope that other bloggers see through what you are trying to create with your venomous lies and innuendos regarding locker room rifes and coaches disgreements. We are proud of our program and have prided ourselves with "Being the Best" whether we are 5&0 or 0&5. Obviously you are far from being a true Tartan.

was in reference to Fred Robledo's blog piece on Alhambra Coach Ruedaflores was to illustrate how high school coaches make a positive lifetime impact on their players. After standing up for his coach "CoachP." I thought he'd like to read about the wheel-chaired coach and former Alhambra player of Coach Ruedaflores and the love and respect they share for each other! Besides Coach Ruedaflores, Glendale College Hall of Fame, needs no comparison to anyone. Because he, unlike you, stands on his own two feet and "helps" boys become men. Calling him Coach "Rudy" simply makes a mockery out of his 35plus years of dedication and sacrifice. Ask "his" players or MD's Coach Rollinson what they think of Coach Ruedaflores. Your overall lack of respect for the game, the sacrifice of the players and the measure of your opponents speaks for itself- gutless.

Spreading locker room gossip on multiple threads about your "home" team and now going over to Charter Oak and spreading them there as well. Simply pathetic. Calling out your Glendora players enmasse and singling out the "limp", again pathetic.

Seems like a fair amount of Glendora people know who you are, giving details about your size and all, I wonder what they think of you now! If I was a Glendora player I'd tell you to your face what I thought of your "WE SUCK" comments.

Who is Benny Rodriguez? What I remember from the Glendora/Rowland game was witnessing number #33 Jake Vega shredding it up scoring 3 TDs and a 2 point conversion. Wasn't he interviewed by AT at midfield after the game? Theres no secret to what Glendora has to do Offnesively and thats run the ball Defensively stop the pass, plain and simple. Believe you me there is enough talent on that team to get the job done.

At the quarterback spot what do you expect when you have a senior QB who sat his junior year. You’re going to at least need 3 or 4 games for your offense to settle into a groove at the varsity level. And now your experimenting in week 4 back there? Come on talk about screwing with a kid’s head little alone the heads and the timing of your offense.

But let’s not stop there; since (I’m on a roll) explain to me the weird time outs, the disarray getting plays called in on offense and defense, wrong personnel on the field, the game plan, the kicking game. Don’t put the blame on the kids put it where it belongs on the guys that make the decisions. Those things should have all been worked out before going into this week and frankly they are not.

And Yeah 42, I hope your not making a comparison with Pasquarella and Coach “Rudy� are you? That would be ridiculous!

Get the big picture people would you………Quit being so myopic my fellow “bagpipers� we are who we are right now and not unless things change will we be any different. All we can ask of the kid’s is to do the best they can.

Yeah WC and Rowland are supposed to be pretty good teams. But League starts this week and its time to step up to the plate. Lets see what you've got come November. Just a warning dont count out South Hills yet. Their record doesnt indicated the heart these kids have displayed. Three of their loses are by a total of 5 points against some pretty good teams. I dont think many teams are of the caliber of Los Altos or Rancho C. and each win vs. South Hills was a one point margin. Every week I read your blogs and all I ever see are stories about the glory boys. This QB did this or that running back did that. How about a little recognition for the guys on the other side of the ball, the Big D. I've seen Shaun Cody and Justin David. I've watched this kid #45 from South Hills a couple of times and I think he's got something. The kid is every where and he's only a sophmore. Also #56 is a tough kid. Goes both ways O and D line anyone who has ever put on the pads knows how tough it is to go both ways; and this kid does it well. Get ready WC

Way to stand up for your coach. Coach P.is a stud! His history of developing talent and teams is without question excellent.

Did anyone notice the second half of the Damien game last year. Coach P. ran the ball over and over to the Glendora Home field side, over and over and over! Each time the crowd roared, louder and Louder and LOUDER! That was genius! Benny Rodriguez 7 yards, Benny Rodriguez First down, Over and OVER and OVER! Each sweep to the "HOME" field side! Each time the Glendora crowd roared, energizing the HOME team ! That was genius! How many people "caught" that! Hell I think the crowd powered Benny that night!!! That was brilliant coaching!!! Trust me him being in the "bird" was masterful and Brilliant. Remember GT won the game!

Can not wait for this BLOG in basketball because GT is thin this year and I wonder how many morons will give That legend the "bird"! GT adults cut it out you're beginning to look like spoiled child. WAH WAH WAH!

Frankly, I think ur a total idiot,to be honest.Sorry to come down on you but soph. qb, Andrew Kaluzny, makes better decisions than crook but crook has more experience.He has not proven his worth this season and Jordan Edmond always has a "limp"...He gets banged up in every game.Also, Pasquy is the best coach in the valley and does a great job patching this team together..We have exceeded our expectations in just about everything because of his high standard and great coaching...

Yes maybe you are right. Maybe I am reading a little too much in what the kids were saying. I’ve been around this group of kids for a long time and as I have stated before I strongly believe this was the year to win the league and “maybe� get passed the second round. But right now NO WAY!

Set us up for a loss, nah I’m just a realist and have evaluated enough talent to know the deal.

We are not a good team with what level this group should be prepared at and at this point of the season.

What was surprising was to hear the kids being so candid about what was going on. I got the impression they were disappointed.

Coach P is my guy but he has been developing a pattern the last three years and three years at this level is a pretty good judge of were your ball clubs are going to be headed in the future. Just by the use of talent, the development of the talent on the field and by whom you have on your staff.

And the “bird� thing when was the last time you saw a head coach upstairs? Never. This wasn’t a NASCAR race with your crew chief on top of the box. When was the last time you saw him with a headset on or carrying a situation card. Do we just wet our fingers stick it up in the air and see which way the air blows?

And if “Pasqie� was at Amat do you think my friends Blueorca and BleedBlueandGold and those Amat fans wouldn’t be calling for his ouster. You got to be kidding me. I hang with these guys in this blog daily. If those guys are giving a first year head coach grief gezzzz. These guys make me and my criticism of Pasqie look like I’m throwing crème puffs.

I love this group of kids! They have all work hard! Give them at least half a chance to excel. And what is going on down on that field now I just don’t think were giving them that chance.

Mike- Coach P built that program where people actually are starting to notice the football program and now this. Mikey I'm surprised that you put stock in that kind of grumblings.

Instead try and not lay the foundation for excuses come Friday and concentrate on Damien.

If you coached ,and I think you mentioned that you did, you know that every team decides collectively when they've won enough. For some teams it's a winning record,others a League championship, the playoffs, second round or nothing short of a Championship. Sounds like your team's deciding on an early exit and blaming the coach is the first stop to getting off the train!

Too bad I was really beginning to see the fruits of Coach P's efforts! Apparently you did not put any stock in my reasons why I thought Coach P. was in the "bird". Oh well If Amat needs a good coach/coordinator they can always stop at GHS. Big Coach P. Fan!

THIS JUST IN……………

There are rumblings on the campus of “bagpiper U� just 3 days before the big game against Damien.

Inside sources tell me that some of the O-Line and some Seniors are very unhappy with some of the decisions being made at the QB and other spots last week at Rowland and weren’t to happy that they almost lost blaming the closeness of that game on the coaching staff.

One lineman even going so far as to say:

“Why are they pulling this S!@# now going into league play? We couldn’t get our timing on offense with the changes going back and forth�

My sources say basically saying they wanted to get the points on the board and let the second team get the reps in the fourth quarter after the game was put away. But it never was put away. Interesting point was made that Jordan Edmonds is banged up and has a noticeable limp around campus. Practice wasn’t a happy place on Monday.

“Jordan needed to rest in the later part of the Rowland game but couldn’t because the coaching staff was playing around with the offense and we couldn’t get a lead�

More to come on this, if I hear anymore.
