The Weekly Aaron Harris OVER/UNDER Game ...

| | Comments (49) |

"UNDER" backers are having a better season than those who follow Dr. Bob's college football picks. Aaron Harris missed the over last week by a yard, which is a sign that Aram is hanging good numbers (finally). See what y'all can do with this week's number against Covina.

THIS WEEK'S PROJECTED TOTAL vs. Covina: 90 1/2 yards

Week 1: 133 yards vs. Azusa UNDER
Week 2: 139 yards vs. West Covina OVER
Week 3: 156 yards vs. Sierra Vista UNDER
Week 4: 192 yards vs. El Monte UNDER
Week 5: 170 yards vs. Glenn UNDER
Week 6: 114 yards vs. San Dimas UNDER
Week 7: 169 yards vs. Pomona UNDER (by 1 yard)

shhs

Pretty suprising that someone from south hills would run their mouths like you are.

BRAVETOWN said:

ABSOLUTELY WILL BE THERE. WE KNOW A GOOD FOOTBALL TEAM WHEN WE SEE ONE. PLUS ITS ALWAYS A PLEASURE TO SEE MIKE MCDONOUGH PLAY THE GAME THE WAY ITS SUPPOSED TO BE PLAYED.....

BIG DADDY said:

HEY BP IF YOU HAVE THE TIME COME BY DISTRICT FIELD AND SEE THE COVINA/SD GAME. IT WILL BE A GOOD ONE!!!!

BRAVETOWN said:

C-TOWN, just remember a quote from San Dimas last year.
something to the effect of "this is the last time Covina will beat us like that. Next year will be a different story" from their head coach.

Handle your business, we need your help.....

BIG DADDY said:

Just one more note!! Northview's BEST PLAYER is playing Baseball. If he dosen't have faith in the team, what dose that tell yall.

BIG DADDY said:

B.P. Good Luck against North View. I know that yall will put the smack down. We have a tough game against San Dimas. Yall played a good game against Covina. Hey yall put up 25 points. Gleandora was the last team to get over 20 points. I know Angel and I know that he and Aaron will not let yall down this week. Keep playing hard. I hope yall get it to 99 more. That is a BIG TARGET!! Just beat NV so yall can make the playoffs. I think yall can make some noise in the future.
NV Mike wether it is a good team or bad, Harris has put up the Numbers. For yall to say that he is over ratted is absurd!!

BRAVETOWN said:

Big Daddy, good looking out, those scrubs over at N-view got something coming this week. Nevermind how are u gonna stop the Colts in 2 weeks, but how r u gonna stop the braves this week. Its homecoming over at "THE PARK". We are in a must win situation. Look for a blowout this week.
B.P.42 - NVIEW 7. B.P did some good things offensively last week and you youngsters at n-view
have no idea what your in for. so pack your baby bottles and pacifiers because we will put you guys to sleep real early................

Great Comment!

Northview is a trash talking team and then they get their A--es handed to them by Pomona.

I am still waiting for NV Vike to surface!

Northview is done this year! 2-3 in league!

End of Story.........

BIG DADDY said:

Lets face the fact the the Colts are that dam good. The defence is awsome. Yes they shut down Harris, they just have his number. Harris is a great back and will have a great future. Now the the other matter at hand. I have seen the NV Viking players at the Covina games. The sit in the stands and bash the Colts. They laugh and joke how bad they will beat the Colts down. For all of yall Vikings that were at the Covina game on Thursday, here are a few things to Think about. 1. How in the world did you lose to Pomona? 2. Who do you have to stop the Colts offance? 3. How are you going stop the Colt defence? Yall sit and run your mouths and someone will come along and shut them up. Keep talkin and you will see how good the Colts really are!!! OH! They looked really good on Thurday. Yall couldn't step your game for Pomona and you think the Colts are weak, the time is coming. Yall will see the real deal when you face the Colts. Pomona, I couldn't stop laughing for 20 minutes. If you can answer question 1-3 maybe yall might have a chance. I forgot, yall have to play good team in Baldwin Park. Good Luck! Hey AARON HARRIS IS THAT DAM GOOD!

Dont pay attention do all these idiots that are just looking to bash you young student-athletes. Keep up the good work and the class you've shown on the field...

Braves will crush Northview this week!!!!!!!!!!!!

That One Guy said:

If Harris were behind a more talented O-Line, he'd crush the bigger teams. That guy is quick. I hope he does well in college. As far as Aram saying he's the best back in the area, he's right.

true statement above, the colts are for real and it's not just a one player team!the are loaded with talented players,IMHO, they would put 40 points on almost(underline almost) any team.

hey you guys said:

covina is for real, not just because of mcd. jamal james and gamez are some of the best wr in the sgv

just a fan of it all said:

well arron did not do so good at covina, how come ? covina to tuff? BP to weak?I would like to hear your response to this aram. the back that you give all the praise to just got is reality check! he's probably thinking "gee maybe I'm not as good as aram think's,I know the rest of the vally thinks this" he is fast ,maybe he should go out for track instead.and no I'm not bashing him, sorry if you think I am.

t0y said:

I suppose I was wrong on the over... Seemed like an easy number to hit then again the covina defense is stingy....." Harris finished with a season-low 16 yards on just 10 attempts and lost yardage on three of his five attempts in the second half.

" wow! mike had 6 tds last night is this right? crazy....

Aram

I agree that Aaron Harris should be complimented for staying with BP. He could have transferred to any program and played. It's good for the school and the community and hasn't hurt his chances to move on to the next level. Scouts are paid to seek out the best possible players or they won't be employed for very long if they don't do their job!

JMCDONOUGH said:

HARRIS IS A GREAT RUNNINGBACK AND NO ONE CAN TAKE THAT AWAY FROM HIM. HE IS THE ONE WE DEFINTELY WILL BE KEYING IN ON TONIGHT. MY SON MIKE HAS GREAT RESPECT FOR HIM, AND THE B.P. TEAM.
IF THEY HAVE ANY CHANCE OF DEFEATING OUR TEAM TONIGHT, HE DEFINATELY WILL HAVE A HUGE PART IN IT.
THERE IS NO DISPUTING IT, HE IS TALENTED!

Aram said:

Harris haters,

I think you guys are overlooking some things.

1. Most of you cry about how some of the good SGV athletes leave their schools to go to South Hills, LA or even Amat. Here's a kid who has D-1 ability and could've done that (I've heard he got offered to anyway) but he's at BP. Shouldn't he be embraced for this?

2. How was Baldwin Park doing before Harris? Has he been the main, on-the-field reason why BP is back winning games again?

3. Are defenses aware that they need to stop solely Harris to beat BP? Yes! Does he still get his yards? Yes!

4. The level of BP's competition may not be great, but like DT at Covina said recently about his program "These are teams we were losing against two years ago." BP is in the same boat.

5. Most of BP's competition has been bad, but Harris had 139 yards against WestCo, which was probably a better team at the beginning of the year when BP played them.

6. Don't tell me I overrate Harris. I am not trying to do him any favors. Just ask Coach Heggins, who I had to explain to why Harris wasn't All-Area last year after rushing for over 2,000 yards and breaking Lawrence Phillips' single-season record. I felt Marquies Winbush and Art Combest did better.

7. Who is the area's most sought after college football recruit? It's Harris. What kind of exposure did Brigham Harwell get when it was him in 2003? What about Will Harris or Bret Lockett in 2004? What about Jonathan Cornell last year? Granted, this blog wasn't around then, but they all got good exposure just as Harris has and will continue to get. It's not just my opinion, it's that of 25 college football recruiters, too.

8. Ask the coaches around the VVL what they think of Harris. See if you they tell you "overrated." I would think the league should embrace a major player like Harris, because they're few and far between these days.

HARRIS IS OVERRATED!!!!!!!!!!!!

Luis said:

Wow, Slow down over there in BP, You guys think your unstoppable, Look at your record, you guys are stoppable you have one O.K. back and I meen a O.K. back, the only reason he is geeting pub,is cuz of Aram putting this Over/Under together, and hes been under, way more times than over, esspecially against some below average defences, come on man. BP is all talk, Coaches do not need to put up stats at all and If I was A coach I wouldnt put Harris stats up there, there not that great, there O.K. Watching the Viks play these last few weeks, Im thinking the last game in League Vs. Covina both will be 4-0. You guys shouldnt talk about coaches you dont know, These coaches at NV are doing something right, over there, and its almost a whole new staff and the players have to adjust to a whole new Offence and a new Defense. Those coaches are kicking butt over there, and they lost there #1 back from last year, c-mon man these coaches know what there doing from the D-line to the Backers to the DB's It will be a great game when the beat Covina.

divison eleventeen said:

wow harris has ran aginst some tough defenses this year azusa siera vista and el monte are really shuttin people down

Bravesrock said:

The Northview coaches need a class in computer skills and how to operate the site.

No wait, they think it strategic not to post them. LOL

braveswillroll said:

NV VIKE

CRY ME A RIVER.. Your team is lucky and doesn't have the talent. As the BP Fan stated: Show us some factual yearly stats of someone good on your team.

The coach is pretty weak not to post on Maxpreps. What's he worried about? Not much there to post???

Put up or shut up.. LOL

BPFAN said:

NV VIKE

When was the last time Northview had a D1 guy in football?

When you have a strong runner like Harris, you don't have to give him the ball 30+ times a game. He'll do it in less.

Where are your players in the stats?? PUT UP OR SHUT UP! LETS SEE THEM LOL

Answer: NOWHERE DUDE!

BP is bigger, faster, stronger and most importantly SMARTER.

n v vike said:

Gentleman,

Lets get one thing straight u lost to slow dimas, NORTHVIEW didnt. Another thing lets not talk about weak coaches if you have a Div 1 recruit on your campus then give him the ball 30-35 a game, not 18. Also "put your head out" get your sayings right moron. Lastly we will see what happens next week.

BPFAN said:

NV Vike

Who do you have that has rushed for 1000+ yards??

Maybe all your backs total Harris single season yards.

You guys are real WEAK..........

Harris is going to be like a race horse when we meet your slow team.. Your linebacks DO NOT HAVE SPEED DUDE!

Braveswillroll said:

NV VIKE

Jason has one good game all year long and now you want to compare him to Harris? If he is so good have your weak coach post the stats and lets see! Box scores dont lie.

Get a clue dude and put your head out!!

I was at the SD/Northview game and if SD doesn't turn the ball over 3x they win! You guys are sure running your mouths alot. We'll see who kicks your butt next week!

BRAVETOWN said:

Hey nv vike, youll get yours next week. why dont you worry about pomona first and than focus on B.P..Yeah we have our hands full this week, but we'll get out of it ok. And after this week we will smash u guys.

nv vike said:

Who cares about aaron harris this guy is a pretty good player, but their are several pretty good players in the valley. The kid puts up good numbers but who couldnt against the type of competition that they play. If you see his numbers against quality competition from last year and this year you would be able to see that he is just a pretty good player (last year versus covina, rosemead, and Northview, which were games that b.p. all lost he had average numbers, no more than 110-120 yards, with a good portion of those when the contest was already deciced, and this year its the same, versus slow dimas 114 yards and they arent very good, #2 from Northview ran for like 170 on 24 carries and I havent seen any stories on this kid or any of the talented kids that Northview or any other has. Aram I think you should give up on the over under thing, instead write more stories on a variety of quality players in the valley.

t0y said:

I'm gonna say over from the amount of carries though. bp will still lose reguardless
