Mid-Valley Division Playoffs

For the people basing their predictions that Workman will lose tonight on stats and actual reasoning, I have to admit that I see where you're coming from, given our past. For those of you whose teams just aren't IN the playoffs and you're just envious, you can at least give credit where credit is due. We have no pop warner feeder program. We have no home field. We have only athletes that for some reason haven't opted for "better" programs at Los Altos or Wilson. We have problems with player eligibility and low numbers. And after all that, our AWESOME coaches have managed to pull this team together and achieve a 7-3 overall record and only one loss in league play. What will happen with Bishop Diego? I don't know. We could definitely lose, but if we don't it will be a victory well-deserved. We just don't get success like this that often so let the haters be silenced already! We deserve this!!!

as you can see workman has a lot of support behind them riding into this game. i think some people are just not able to accept the fact that we went from winning 3 games the previous four seasons, to 7 this season. so they still think we're trash. talk all you want, but we'll do our talking on the field against BD

I dont see a duarte upset against la canada. Yes the spartans are one dimensional but yet other than monrovia who has stopped peterson. I dont know of anyone. And yeah TC put a whippin to monrovia but know it was a close heavyweight fight until the fourth quarter where broadnax put in the last two punches. I believe the first rounds will be predictable but its the 2nd rounds that got me thinking. Assuming TC gets past sierra vista. Will they be able to handle Verbum Dei. Assuming Monrovia clobbers azuza and la salle pulls an upset against fillmore. Will the rematch be all what everyone wants it to be. I cant wait these payoffs will be very exciting

TC beat Monrovia because they wanted it more. Monrovia thought they were going to roll TC and they were showed why TC is simply, better. Undoubtedly Monrovia has more talent than any other Rio Hondo team, but they don't do anything with it.
At least the fans are still supporting the team. It's good to know you can still hold your head up that high after getting shalacked by a team that played twice as hard.

Aram..... you have Bishop Diego and Monrovia in the lower Semi Finals, well if workman does knock them off do you think that would be us?

the different between monrovia and glendora is that peterson is the only person on that team that get the ball. and he plays defensive end that is a lot of pounding he takes. the best back i have seen in years tho. duarte likes to pound the ball that could wear him down. i went to the monrovia & la canda. that dude is good but the team is it very 1 dimentional. duarte has a good chance as long as they pound the ball.

OK, Duarte could win..But, I don't see them stopping Lavell Peterson...Peterson is about as good as James Davis and Duarte couldn't stop Davis or Edmond from Glendora....

I would not simply give the title game outright to the RHL. Crazy things happen in the playoffs, but it would not really take anything crazy to knock of either of the three RHL teams. That holds true for anybody in the CIF. We're talking about a bunch of high school kids, right?

after watching film on the bishop deigo and workman films both teams match up well but actually i think workman has more team speed. So it should be a close game. So dont sleep on the lobos that spread offense is giving teams fits lately...look for a upset..lobos dream season continue....
