I just drop in to this site from time to time. It is funny how the comments have slowed to a snails pace since the hot air boxes from Glendora and Rowland are out.

Aram,
The Covina/St Joe game will be a good one to a point. The Covina D is really tough. I don't think that St Joe has a game plan when Covina shuts down the run. I argee with you, that the speed on both sides of the ball will be to much for St Joe. The 2 minute drill was right on point. Covina will get the job done.
Have a great Thanksgiving!!

westco
The reason why Trabuco Hills may not have looked impressive last week was because they were playing a good Tustin team. If you remember, Tustin pounded Western 35-14 who had beat Los Altos earlier in the season. This is going to be a tough game for Bulldogs but dont worry, they gonna win win win.

I'm Prepared to Eat Crow!
With that said, I have a bad feeling about this friday guys...
Los Altos vs. Foothill
I really do not think that Los Altos has the offensive firepower to overcome this Foothill defense. If LA falls behind early, this game is over. Foothill's offense has been untested with the exception of Santa Margarita who shut them down. I believe this to be a defensive game with many turnovers involved. Because of this predicted defensive battle I'm going with Foothill who I think has the players to make some key defensive plays resulting in scores namely key sacks againts LA. Pick---> Foothill 17, Los Altos 3
Damien vs. Temescal Canyon
I think the Damien's season is coming to an end as well this friday. Los Osos had an awesome team and played close ones againts some of the top schools. They barely lost to Redlands (who has the top defense at this level) and had a one point loss Norco. Well this Temescal Canyon team beat Los Osos. Temescal Canyon beat a good Santiago, lost to Vista Murrieta by 3 pts, and lost to Chaparral by a TD. This team is pissed at their close losses to good programs. They are on fire right now which explains the shootout they had with Los Osos. This on top of the fact that Temescal Canyon has played a much more difficult schedule than Damien. They will be prepared. I see another shootout on the horizon. Pick ----> Temescal Canyon 38, Damien 24
West Covina vs. Trabuco Hills
West Covina is a team reborn and though they are inconsistent in gameplay, there is nothing really impressive about Trabuco Hills. This game should be a close one though but ya gotta like WC's chances especially if they are well prepared and are intense like they can be. Both teams are coming off of upset wins...WC over Mayfair and TH over Tustin. This game will be a treat for fans. My pick for this one ----> West Covina 31, Trabuco H. 20
Charter Oak vs. South Hills
You cannot ask for a better stage for SGV football. I don't agree with Charter Oak having an underdog status in this game. CO has more than enough weapons to not only beat SH but rout them. I dont see this happening though. Both these teams have been inconsistent thoughout the season but I would have to favor CO to pull out of this one as the victors. CO has perfected winning the close game this season and I think this will help them in this game as well. Pick ---> Charter Oak 21, South Hills 10
Have a good day all...

Does anyone know if Joseph Carillo will be back at QB for DR or is Phillip White going to start?

los altos defense will hold its own come friday night....foothill might have a good D, but have not seen an excellent D team all year
Posted by: los altos fan | November 22, 2006 10:08 AM
CO 17 So.Hills 24 (upset Bogan style)
West Covina 26 Trabuco 14 (WC makes it look easy)
Foothill 12 Los Altos 8(Defensive battle)
St. Josephs 17 Covina 42 (blowout, McD runs wild)
El Dorado 34 D'Ranch 20 (Great season DR but the better team won)
Damien 17 Temescal 24 (Homefield advantage)
Santa Clara 20 Duarte 24 (These Falcons are for real)

Old Fan
Your horse racing comparison is right on the money. I know many of the kids on both sides of the ball and the coaching staffs also. They all have hearts of champions and winning is in their blood. This game will go down to the wire.
For all you fans that have nothing better to do than try and start some crap. Give it a rest!
These are class programs with outstanding kids. The battle will be fought on the field, and; the final whistle will decide who will win this game.

Wesco will pound Trabuco. I was watching the highlights from Trabucos last game and was not impressed. Trabuco looked weak on the outside. The Bulldogs will ride the Mustangs to a victory..

Horse racing fans remember Affirmed and Alydar. Affirmed always found a way to win, Alydar found a way to always finish second. Charter Oak has won all the close ones, the Huskies have lost 'em. Bogan is a thoroughbred and next in line for 200 wins, he'll have to wait until next year. CO 17-14.
