POSTGAME: Talk your smack or cry me a river ...

DON'T DOUBT THE SGV!!!

... FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO MISSED MY COLUMN IN FRIDAY'S TRIBUNE ... here's an important excerpt ...

"The Good: Some might call the Valley's underdog status in the Southwest Division a bad thing. I call it good.

I know, it's hard to understand. The schools that have provided the Valley a CIF title every season this decade are taking a back seat to two Orange County leagues and one from the 562 area code.

Nobody around these parts is saying the prowess established by the Century, Sea View or Suburban leagues this season isn't warranted.

It's just that I'm adding up the recent CIF titles won in the division, and it's hard to understand why anybody would take the Miramonte or San Antonio leagues lightly.

CIF clearly did. There's five leagues in the division, yet the top four seeds went to three league champs and one second place team.

This slight has created a dangerous backdraft situation for the rest of the division. It makes teams like Charter Oak, Los Altos, South Hills and West Covina feel like massive underdogs.

It makes coaches like Lou Farrar, Greg Gano, Steve Bogan and Mike Maggiore feel like they have something to prove. Who wants to be the favorite if it means these guys are the underdog?

Hopefully, the Valley can prove people wrong either by producing a stunning upset or making a run at the title. "

West Covina 19, Mayfair 16 (uh oh, down goes the No. 1 seed)
South Hills 21, Canyon 14 (Bogan an underdog? Please ...)
Los Altos 35, Rowland 17 (Tradition)
Duarte 37, La Canada 7 (supposedly I give Duarte no respect ...)
Charter Oak 24, La Mirada 21
Redlands 40, Glendora 21

Great to see we have Fontana Kaiser coaches on the blog. Your observations are on point. How did you stop the option. What is your base defense?

I know Fontana featured a running option attack back in the day and still do at the Pop Warner level. Some people run a 50 and some run a 4-4 stack to counter the 3 options but others use an unbalanced 50. Which do you prefer and why?

I am glad to see that MOST families are on good terms, and can just focus on the fun of the game and celebrate our sons succes. Mr corona i would like to thank you for being the bigger man in this situation..The real men are the ones who can apologize, sincerely when they have made a mistake, and i thank you for that.

To "THE MAN". i have to say that most of your observations were on point. I have to disagree with you on your anaylis on the QB position. Fucsh will probably be the starter senior year.

To "Football Parent". Though your opinions were not sugar coated i have to agree that you were right on all points.

Many commenters have only took the time to anaylize the playmaker positions.Im glad to see that somone else noticed the talent of the D-Line.
I was a coach at Kaiser High School, in Fontana for 6 years, and have to say that this is one of the "better" D-lines i have seen. Jason, Riaz, Obie Okafor, Austin Williams, and Jake Salter, are excelent toghether when all in at the same. They penetrated, stopped the run, and are the main reason for the defensive shutouts.Jason is quick of the ball and is able to "muscle" with the offensive tackles. Okafor and Salter are big bodies, that clog holes and pass rush. Williams is quick if the ball and fires out. However, he is shorter than your average D tackle, but makes up for it by letting his presence be know, against his opponent.

The center, and left Tackle have great technique, and flex there strength aagainst their opponent.

I also agree about the RB/FB position. Williams and Jake Vieth are gonna be dinomite. Once these two learn to play with each other, and get the fell for each others style, their gunna be Jordan, amd Pippen, on the feild.

I look forward to next season, and your thought on the blog

Aram what gives?

Mr. Corona did not write the last 3 blogs messages about the JV team. This is my second attempt to clarify this! What gives Aram?
Why was thew last one ERASED after it was on this thread.

Someone is still playing games. Please stop.

Mr. Corona did not write those 3 blogs.

football parent-
damien dad wanna be-
damien dad fraud-

Once again it seems that people love to play games even when it's kids involved. 14/15/16 year old kids.

I WROTE NONE OF THESE LAST 3 IDENTICAL BLOG MESSAGES. I WAS GETTING ZACH TESTED AT CHINO HILLS AT THE TIME FROM 5 TO 6.

THAT LAST COMMENT ABOUT SILVA AND ADAM CYCHNER "BEING SOFT" WAS NOT WRIITEN BY ME AND WAS WRITTEN WITH THE INTENT TO PISS PEOPLE OFF AND GET THE BS GOING AGAIN.

THIS HAS HAPPENED BEFORE.

Football parent-

Maybe you find it humorous to destroy people. But you are a low life and a coward.

Love your link---ToPlayorNot. I won't. You are sick!

Maybe Aram can tell everyone who you really are. Every blog message leaves an identifier to your computer and your blog screen name does nothing to hide who you are. The email address you imput is not your identifier., your computer is.

Two families made peace like adults and a bunch of other snakes never came forward to work things out. Keep hiding roaches never like the light. How can one school produce so many.

I would like to make further refrence to the debate over the positions of the jv 2006 team.

As far as running backs i fell that a great opportunite was wasted. Austin Williams, and Jake Veith should have been the running back combo this past season. Austins ability to get off the ball and get blocks past the line of scrimmage, and Jakes ability to cut back would have been phenominal if combined. Jake is quick, smart and executes his cut back lanes. Williams is extremely quick for his size, and once he loses some baby fat, he will be unstoppable. These to backs, are going to be STUDS and as far as damiens "running game" they are the future.

Linebackers-
Briton Williams, and Gus Flores, both will develop into good backers. They have good coverage instinct and have ability to shut down the run

Recievers-

Eric bento and Herrara, are going to be a great reciever combo. It didnt help for Bento to have a quarter back that couldnt throw past 30 yards. Bento shows great speed quickness, and is able to break down on his routes.

Quarter backs- ummmmmm. The ducks were ok during freshman season, but now its time to play with big boys.Kenny is a great kid,but wont have much sucess at the varsity level. Fukes needs to work on being patient, but will develop.

D-Line

Probably One of the best combination i have seen at the jv level. The front three line man are STUDS. Jake Salter, Austin Williams, and Obie Okafor, dominated toward the beginnig of the season. Then one of the lineman started playing both ways,so they were at times broken up, but when all three of them were together, they dominated.Obie and Jake have great size, and the ability to rush the pass and clog the whole. What Austin lacks in size, he makes up for in quickness, and toughness. Jason riaz and Nick Sale, both have great pass rushing skills

O-Line- Brian Martinez, and Chase Sipple are dominating. they both have great size, run blocking, pass blocking, and awarness. Adam , and Aj Silva, both have great size...,but seem to be a little soft at heart.

The MAN-

As far as referencing the defense. That won't be necessary. You've already stroked the right egos.
Mission Accomplished. Hope they fell better.

Not at all. They are your honest opinions I'm sure. Is "cultivating it to the max" PC for poor or inadequate coaching? Seeing as you might have brushed ever so lightly on the lack of position coaches for 2 years. Is "Adequate" or "Any" a concealed cutdown?

Just made the point about killing the messenger and not the message. Your references were very laser on, or spotlight on, whichever fits. The "make up" call is what it is. No need to wonder.

Sideline observer...are your references to me in the least badly concealed cutdowns? Just wondering...

But hey I wasn't sugarcoating it..I truly belive we have some great talent on the JV team...we just havent cultivated it to the max yet.

Meet Carter/Miller's mom tonight at the Damien Gym. As we were discussing her OLA experiences and her son's playing soccer or football. The damnest thing happened. She mentioned how her son DeAndre told her of a Dad that wrote a "5 page" paper slammingall the kids on the JV team and what positions they should play. She also mentioned how her son came into the information.( won't EVEN go there) Our conversation was "school gossip" and "Did I hear?" parent stuff. You know between concerned parents.

Funny but when I told her I wrote it she froze. I asked her if she read the "5 page", it gets better, letter I NOW wrote to Coach Morrison she said NO. She hadn't just heard from her son who heard from another player (again won't EVEN go there). I encouraged her to read it. I'll give her a copy myself tomorrow. And I re read what I wrote again. There was nothing wrong with what I wrote about the JV on THIS thread. Nothing!

Just like "THE Man" who also gave a detailed analysis of the JV squad. Like Herrera not being a RB or that he can't find a hole (ouch). Or that players that were really WRs and DBs were playing out of position at the RB position (ouch), Or that the O-line was inconsistent(ouch). Or that we've had no line coach or QB coach(Ouch). Or that the WRs dropped too many balls(ouch0.Yet no one slammed him or second guess his stretching analysis. Imagine if I wrote that...oh yeah I already did. Except the praise went to others but that was a good "make up" call by THE MAN and seeing as we're in basketball season it's appropriate.

Guess it was his delivery or that it was laden with praise, go figure. Well by the time this runs it's course it'll be a "novel" that I wrote to CIF and that I plotted to steal everyone's dog.

When I asked her son if he'd read The Now "5 page paper" he said no as well. Just told by a JV player (again won't EVEN go there). I told him I agreed with his mom and Grandfather that he should play RB and that Austin should be the FB. Something even DeAndre would agree with and hoped for. Nothing more about him. I could have mentioned how I wrote when I saw him with the varsity he looked faster and had great wheels but why kill a myth. Monsters are good to teach kids to be afraid of the boogey man.

My luck stumbled into that.

Yes, sideline observer I did make some observations but I have decided not to do the defense. I think I'll let the kids be as they are for once since a couple of parents comepltely dissected it before.

I will say this on the Wrs, too many dropped balls. I think the class of 09 will be fine by their senior or junior year. Eric Bento has alot of speed...better than decent hands..and he goes fater the ball..he's a solid reciever. Taylor Herrera , who played varsity this year, has magnificient hands and AGREAT speed, vert jump. We've got another Eschardies in him. Maxwell is also a good reciever. But, they have had some formal training freshman year. Coach Farraar, brother of Ryan (06), played Defensive back at LSU and I remeber him breaking down routes and such with them. So atleast they had a somewhat stable first year.

The Man, you make some great observations about the Damien jv team. Especially about Kenny Serafinco being a great quarterback, Fuches lacking velocity, Jake Vieth having amazing quicknees and enough mass yet the other running backs lacking size and playing out of position, Talmo having 4.8 40 speed ,and STUD Chase Sippell having 50 pancakes in a 10 game season! Wow that's quite the analysis.

You also allude to the lack of any QB coach for 2 years. The lack of any offensive line coach for 2 years. The lack of a any running back coach for 2 years. I noticed in your critique of the offense you forgot the WR position. They also have had no formal WR coach for 2 years.

I look forward to your critique of the jv defense.

M/M Williams and family;

Your husband was very gracious last night. I am glad that everything is under the bridge and everyone can move forward and enjoy our children's efforts.

I will say as a cautionary note for future misunderstandings to ANY parents that may feel slighted in the future. Pick up a phone. Drop a note with your children. Get in touch. Talk it out.

But it always makes that difficult when people chose to remain anonymous even after they cause innocent people harm.

Even today after all the hurt feelings there are still bloggers representing themselves as Damien fans with the anonymous comments trying to pick a fight. Even today! What can you do but ignore them.

It was funny when Eddie Gomez asked me , "How is it that doesn't Zachary know anything about this?" I told him because Zach's a nice kid and none of his friends told him. And that's a credit to Zach and his friends. And I'd like to thank them all. Good luck this year and thank you once again for clearing things up quick.

M/M Corona and family:

Thank you! This is all water under the bridge as far as I am concerned. We look forward to the next 2 1/2 years sharing our boys successes with each other and watching them turn into wonderful, God loving men! Frank, I especially thank you for apology to Mike last night and your words to Brit were very nice and lifted his spirit. What Brit tells me of Zach (sorry I can't place him) is that he considers Zach a friend and a real nice guy. That is teen speak for "you are raising a fine young man that is well liked amoungst his peers". Of course, I am not surprised by this. I think all Damien parents put their best efforts into their boys.

To everone else, Damien is a family that we all are proud to be associated with. Therefore, everyone needs to be mindful of airing our "dirty laundry" in a public forum like this and the image we present to the rest of the community. Let's keep things civil please and respect eachother, and everyones sons and daughters, too!

With all this debate on Jv football team, I would like to reply. I think that this class is well off. Not only do they have talent, like the classes before them, but they also are a tenacious bunch. First of all, Kenny Serafinko is a great QB. He has stepped up this year and provided leadership for our team. Although he does have occasional lapses where his accuracy or arm may be off, you must remeber we haven't had a QB coach for two years. Kenny is great at the option, isn't afraid to take a hit, and can dish out punish ment of his own. Fuches joined the team half way through the season and he is also a good quaterback as well. He has a slightly higher accuracy but it seems he doesnt put enough zip on the ball. He also has great mobility in the pocket and can run for the first down.

RB: We've tried alot of runningbacks this season and we've had one..or two glaring problems with them. Late in the season we had a problem with the backs hitting the holes and taking a 3 yard gain whereas they would try to bounce to the outside which was not open. We also had a problem with lack of size. Our runningbacks were often not backs but other positions such as DBs, or WRs. Our best runningback however was Jake Vieth. Jake has amazing quickness which is second to none and great field-vision, finding an open hole even if it is on the backside of the play. Jake has enough mass and strength to run over opponents and open his own holes. I would prefer Jake to be our permanent runningback but he is also the best DB we have and he is needed there aswell..

TEs: We have two good Tight ends this year. Although he wasnt passed to very much Talmo is a good TE. He can block, he has a 4.8 40 speed, and he has size. Morgan Evans also has size though not the speed of Talmo. He makes this up with his great hands which drop few passes.

The Line: The main problem with our line this year has been consistant. Either thel ine provides good pass protection and horrible run blocking or vice versa. However, the line is young and inexperienced because they have not had a true line coach for two years (other than Coach Eric, who had to split his time with the LB's and Defense) The line does have some good members on it though. The whole line seems to be a smart unit as a whole and excellent at recognizing blitzes and defensive schemes but sometimes fails to execute their game plan or play upoon the defense. The center, Brian Martinez, is very good and he is tencious despite NG's often outsizing him. MArtinez is tough, after tearing ligaments in his knee..he playedtwo weeks later. Martinez also snaps the ball very well and has a good quickness with his step. Thel ine also has a STUD at Left Tackle. Chase Sippel has the good size, quickness and speed, the technique (though he needs some individual coaching, which bubba will take care of), the smarts, and the hardworking demeanor (he would run downfield to pick up blocks in the secondary) that a great lineman posseses. Kenny has said several times, and Fuchs would agree, that he feels 100% safe from his blindside in pass plays. And to top all this off he finished the JV season with an astounding 50 pancake blocks...FIFTY!

I'll talk about the defense later because I am tired of typing.

Lets GO Damien!

Wow, can we all just enjoy some football now?
4:04 pm, 3&1/2 hrs till game time Good Luck Damien parents & hope you can put this all behind you tonight, Good luck to all the SGV teams, bring your best game, & play like there is no tomorrow.

is this game on radio or the internet? the covina/st. joe game that is.

To the Damien Dads that find it acceptable to ridicule my son Zachary I have one question. Are you happy now?

I read the comments about Zachary and never said a word. I was the one who asked Frank to help coach even though he said it was a mistake. I asked Frank to email Coach Morrison. It is a decision I regret every day. Frank coached for 20 years and comes from a family of football coaches. I just don't understand how it came to this! Wasn't there one Damien dad that could have spoken to me or may husband in person if there was a problem? I've seen Damien dads ask Frank for advice and thank him for helping their son. I know Frank asked his brothers and Sergio to help some of the Damien players. And they did. They always came because Frank has been a loyal friend and a great father. Too bad Damien parents only know my husband from this blog. Zachary is a wonderful son. I am proud that he has a gentle soul and loves his friends. I am proud of all his efforts. Maybe football isn't for Zachary, he worries too much that he will hurt someone and probably played because he thought his dad wanted him too even though my husband couldn't care less. None of our sons prior to Zachary has ever played tackle football. He won't let Matthew play football because Matthew suffered two concussions in the 8th grade. So Frank does not live through his children. Frank struggles to walk after seven knee surgeries and requires two total knee replacements. His right shoulder is a mess and scarred from surgeries. That's why he retired from coaching. It hurts him to run but he coaches my son's basketball team because he loves his son Nicholas. How he runs on those things is beyond me. I know it kills him to run but Frank tells me when he can't walk he'll stop. Maybe that's why Zachary is afraid to hurt someone because he sees his father struggle with knee and shoulder pain everyday. Zachary told me that at least in wrestling it's a fair fight and everyone weighs the same.

I admire the Williams for coming forward and apologize for the hurt feelings. I'm glad Frank apologized as well. Frank has strong opinions and is at times over the top but he always means well. His history of helping people goes back a long way. But Frank can lose his temper. Frank can come across as an intimidating man because of his size and those stupid dark glasses he alway wears. He says it's a coaching habit but he will listen and is not afraid to admit when he is wrong. He also can be as gentle and caring as Zachary. Frank is a strong and caring father who maybe got caught up in something he couldn't handle and figure out. Maybe the other parents will do the same and come forward and accept responsibility for their comments and apologize to my son Zachary here on this blog.

Just for the extra information I am not B. Williams father, just another concerned parent.I have also never said anything toward you, your son or your family until this situation arose. I also apologize to you on my behavior but i was just concerned and upset that my son what brought into this.

Mr.& Mrs Williams,

I sincerely apologize for any comments that I made to offend you and your family. I also must admit this blog has gotten the best of me and I have behaved poorly. The information I recieved was as I have stated. Apparently it was incorrect. I take you at your word. I hope that this matter can end today. Once again my sincerest apologies to you and your family for any embarassment I may have caused.

To Briton Williams,

I went to the Alumni football game yesterday and was told by more than one player that you brought a printout to the locker room and told everyone I said bad things about the players. I don't believe the comments were negative in any way but that is not irrelavent to the matter at hand. I remembered your dad telling parents at a varsity practice, after the Chino Hills game, about your mother blogging and writing to Chino Hills that it was "Poetic Justice" and the wheels started to turn.

A season of bickering with Damien parents on this public blog does not excuse my behavior. I thank you for your kind words and graciousness regarding my son, both are sincerely appreciated.

Like I explained to your parents I behaved poorly with the information I had. Good luck in your Damien career and know that my comparison to Troy were sincere prior to this nonsense. Best wishes and stay healthy.

Takes No Crap Dad/Takes Know Crap Dad:

Evidently Mr. Corona is giving credit to may husband(B. Williams'dad)for your comments. In response, Mr. Corona has made slanderous/defaming statements against my husband, myself, and my son. Will you please let him know you are a different parent and not B's dad! We would all appreciate that. Thank you! We'll then see how soon we get a public apology from Mr. Corona.

Mr. Corona:

How did my husband, son and I get dragged into this? Supposedly I have rolling eyes? Yea, when? I am very proud of my husband, my son, my daughter and their accomplishments. My hubby did not play PAC-10 football. He did play PAC-8 Football though. Notice how he lets the coaches coach. He helps out by doing the chains and the scoreboard during JV games. He knows how to keep his mouth shut. Evidently something you have a problem doing. My husband DOES NOT BLOG! Matter of fact, he's pretty computer illiterate! Ask him, he'll tell you. I don't blog - this is my first. I personally think it's a stupid thing to do. And since you attacked my son and husband and made an "ass" of yourself for your assumptions, damn right I'm going to respond. Our lives are very busy and we don't have the time to bash you and yours as you evidently do to bash my family on this site. Your writings were brought to my attention by other parents - no one else. We have done nothing to you to be dragged into this! I have greeted you at every game with a smile and a wave and now you throw this bs at my family? My hubby doesn't even know you by name - only by sight. I'll have to point you out to him. You owe me, my son, and my husband an apology, sir! I will expect it next time I see you!

And one little other note for you, sir. I cry everytime I see my boy play knowing that God made him healthy enough and gave him the love of the game! His spirit and drive is what made him beat his cancer "death sentence" fourteen years ago. Yes, sir, he beat a inoperable malignant tumor wrapped around his aeorta - poor histology dx at 3mos old. Won't live for his first Birthday -that's what we heard from his Doctors. Would you call this effort overrated, too? The fact he can step onto a field and play football also overrated? My son has a dream to follow his father's footsteps - tell me how that is wrong?

wow this is funny how all you guys get so into this. but really mr. corona i havent posted anything and just watched to see what you guys have to say so dont say that i am saying things about you and zach because i havent and to prove that look at my name im not hiding. and as far as the whole blog thing it was brought to my attention i didnt find it. as for the papers who saw them were the players on the jv team it had nuthing to do with varsity. some of the jv players asked me to print them out because they were the ones who wanted to see what you said.
as for my dad helping yea he tried to help the linemen. yea he did im not saying he didnt, but he only went there maybe 2 or 3 times for about 10 min. my dad played college football who wouldnt be proud. i am proud of him as zach is proud of you.
i dont kno whare you get the idea that i said i was going to come out strong against you because i never said that but ohh well i dont care what you have to say about me. as for you comparing me to troy palomalou i took that as a complement because he is someone that i think is a great player and i think you for that. i never once said a bad word about zach and if so tell me whare i did. i think zach is a great guy and i wish that he would come out next year for football and im sure the whole team would agree football is a sport and when you play sports you should always have fun. as for zach wrestling i wish him the best of luck and for a great year.
anyone who makes fun of him you should be mad at but make sure you kno who it is first because it wasnt me.
as for me going against varsity and all the other players who got brought up were not going to have success against biger and stronger guys right away as you have seen there have been times where i blow through right away and coach bubba gets on the linemen and there are times where i get my ass kicked i kno it but its only going to teach my what to do differnt next time.
i wish the best luck to you and zach and have no grudge against you or your son. i will admit you have done things for the program to help travis and luiten. but when you tell some people that should be playing a differnt position then they feel like they didnt do a good job so thats why they should switch. anyways best of luck to all the teams today and GO DAMIEN.

DAMIEN LOSES TO TEMESCAL!!!!

END OF ALL YOU IDIOT BLOGGERS

STOP YOUR SOAP OPERA CRYING!!!

IT's TIRED!!

Haven't even finished my turkey! Man that was quick !!! And I have NO LIFE ...you responded in record time! LOL

Is TakesNoCrap Dad the same as TakesKNOWCrap Dad? How stupid are you that you don't "KNOW/NO" how to spell your own made-up "just for me" ID? Stay away from firearms sir and stand down! Living in the past? One word "Jeter!" Ouch!Getting personal about the boy's manhood...wow! That was funny! Being an EXPERT in wrestling by season's end. Wait does your son wrestle too?

As far as mentioning "YOUR SON" and making it personal TO YOU!, that's what this is all about! And how the bad blood got started...when someone started bringing my son into it 3 months ago. DOESN'T FEEL GOOD DOES IT!

How credible are some of the Damien attackers when I've blogged for months under various names and most of you agreed with me and talked about this and that and asked questions and accepted my pats on the back. As soon as I started with "Damien Dad" again all hell breaks loose.

Do yourself a favor DON"T EVER ADMIT WHO YOU ARE YOU'LL BE MADE FUN OF AS WELL. GOD KNOWS THERE'S ENOUGHN MATERIAL TO COVER THE STATUTE OF LIBERTY!

As far as my boys enjoying their HS life, couldn't be better. Matt's leaving for visits to Michigan, Cornell, Colgate, Gonzaga and one "special" East coast heavyweight in particular. Denistry I think? Who knows with kids as long as they're happy. Blogging doesn't affect them and neither do phantom bloggers with no names who slam me or Zach. Thanks for asking. Ask around about your son,by the way, you'll be a little surprised how popular HE really is. Think "me" on this blog only it's "HIM". Stings don't it? Worse because it's true!

How's the turkey? Stay away from the "stuffing" big man I think you're full of it already!

Dude, it's old! You had your say I had mine. Just call me and let's come to some understanding...better yet ...DON'T!

Before I eat my turkey and thank God for all my blessings (and they are many) I thought it was time to settle this once and for all.

Let's make a Deal! Here goes:

If Travis E. or his parents say I bug. I'll leave the school's affairs to my wife and kids.

If Justin Luiten or his parents say I bug. I'll leave the school's affairs to my wife and kids.

If Taylor Herrera or his parents say I bug. I'll leave the school's affairs to my wife and kids.

I'll shut up and leave the blog for good. That's the deal. I'll STOP going to any Damien football games or practices until I hear differently.

And silence won't cut it this time. I know most parents read the blog and someone will get "news" of this deal to them all. Any one, just ONE, of these players or parents say differently or that my efforts were not welcomed and I'm out!

I'll put myself out there and see if any of these people, who I respect a great deal, feel the same way as the Damien parent bloogers represent EVERY parent and player feels.

Pretty simple really. I will not attend another game or sit on the Damien side again until I hear from them either on the blog, by phone or in person.

Sometimes "not knowing" is worse than "knowing" who your friends are and who is not.

Either way I won't be offended by their honesty or candor. Maybe I'll go see my brothers coach at Salesian in the second round vs. Marantha or see the "polliseed gang" play seeing that I missed them the first time they played against Damien.

Best of luck vs. TC and Corona Centennial.

I'm out! Until further instructions.

I thinks its time you get on with your own life but i can see that all the time you've spent on this blog..shows you don't have a life. YOU SHOULD QUIT LIVING IN THE PAST. && let your son enjoy his time in highschool. Also, I dont blame you if your protecting your son...i would too. But when you mention my sons name your getting personal with me...so SHUT UP && quit acting like idiot. Im sure when your sons done with wrestling this year you'll be an EXPERT on wrestling too. By the way..Happy Thanksgiving Jerk.

Just so you know:

Here's a tip. ( Too bad several players mentioned and called to say you brought in a blog print out of my messages to show the team (before the game!) and they also told me you were going to come strong at me on the blog. Try coming strong on the field instead of standing flat footed and avoiding contact. (Look at practice film from Tuesday or any game since freshmen year. You rarely "come to the fight, your first instinct is backwards or sideways..film doesn't lie) Maybe the Palomalou/Gootergood comparison wasn't a lofty enough comparison for you to feel warm and cozy. Here's a better one, seeing as you love commenting on Zach's ability -you're over rated! I'll check back next year and if it's changed I'll be the first to congratulate you on your success.

As far as adding my two cents wasn't that your Dad at mid-season last year teaching the linemen how to get in a 3 point stance..in week 6 or 7? Right.. they needed "help" because they didn't have coaches who played PAC 10 or had "USC Jeter scars to prove it!" how tired is THAT story that EVERY Freshmen parent he corraled last year heard 3x at least!...even your mom rolls her eyes - she's heard THAT story so often,or was it that "he" didn't respect Coach Thompson either,( but I do remeber seeing a parent hurdle the track fence after a game and yell at Thompson because HIS son wasn't playing enough or the parent who showed Coach Thompson "pictures" that proved his son was a better blocker than Martinez and this year tells EVERYONE that when HIS son played center Damien's offense did not give up a sack) or when another dad went on the field to teach kids how to punt or kick off, or another dad who volunteered to teach the QBs how to throw because we haven't had a QB coach on Freshmen and JV for 2 years, wish he stayed on the whole season maybe Kenny would have developed better, opps there's that word again...my bad! Were THEY( those specific parents) overbearing or over reaching as well..seeing as there WERE paid Damien coaches on the field at the time! Oh yeah it WAS during practice!

Instead of walking into the locker room with a print out of the blog maybe you can let the Varsity players concentrate on the game. Instead of talking about how much you hate people maybe you can re-read the blog message and see that most of all the messages were to praise players, slam parents who slam my son and to tell them to stop using him as a battering ram to quiet me. If I disagree with the lower level coaches so what? Have you read THIS blog? How many players or coaches are discussed openly from other schools, or even here from Damien parents as well.

Never slammed the JV players effort, just the personnel decisions by the coaches regarding positions or the lame practice format. Hell I've seen Coach Pucci run patterns and throw passes at practice with 90 available freshmen standing around looking on. Ask Trainer Lou, we couldn't believe it! Remember Pucci...look the ball in! And on your throw...follow thru! Now that's a joke. Talk about living in the past! What was the Freshmen record this year? Not better than Coach Thompson's! they did NOT score in 3 straight games! That's NOT a slam on the players so don't go there, even they were stunned. 'nuff said.

As far as being a coward and telling any parent to their face how I feel about them when they slam Zach or any other contentious issue, please, I checked there isn't a checkIN, TakesKnowCrap Dad,QuickFixerUpper, I8DD, or and other "blog name" familiar to me from the roster or that I've meet at Damien and I double DD checked. So that makes it tough to have a simple face to face to settle our differences like mature adults. Guess you won't come to the PIZZA BLAST! I already said NO HATERS JUST FOOTBALL!!! Still an Open Invitation

As far as Zach he's wrestling this year. I don't know a Damn thing about wrestling and hear that Coach Lucero is a great coach and a big fan of the Damien basketball and Football programs, so there Zach's out of football. Again HIS choice.

Read my next blog message ...You'll love it! Randy that was clutch thanks. More details on the Pizza thing later...working on a sponsor!

Damien Dad:
I heard your opinion now YOU hear mine. You come near my kid and tell him what position he should and shouldn't play is none of your business. I will oversee what my son does not you, you need to take care of your own son and spend more time working with him. You see all of us up in the stands but this is the first ive heard from you so it must be that your a coward who has to put your words on a blog rather than coming face-to-face. In order to make your son tougher and to play better it would take a man to do so and after hearing you I can see why he's lacking that.

Parents can be the greatest source of laughter. Especially when they think they have all the answers to a sport they themselves can’t play. Parents all along this country continue to show there stupidity by getting involved in something they are not apart of, resulting in making themselves look as stupid as they sound. Unfortunately, this kind of behavior still lurks in the very traditional, Damien High School. Now I know this isn’t the only place you can find this behavior but it is the only place you can find a particular parent that never knows when to be quiet (especially when he can easily see that the people he’s talking to are trying to ignore him).

This guy prides himself on giving insight and advice when no one is listening to him. Now its fine to give your insight every so often, but his constant and repeated arguments just make him annoying and obnoxious to every other parent. And no I am not exaggerating about this man. Absolutely every parent seems to have an inside joke regarding what this man says or does. Even the people who pretend to like and respect him look seem to have fun at his expense. You would think he would eventually get the idea that he should keep his ideas to himself or just go in a corner and ramble on thinking someone was listening. Think about it; let’s designate the sand pit behind the south scoreboard as his venting area and maybe he’ll feel as if he’s doing something productive.

Now I see this very same man’s ideas translated in writing over these blogs and I hate to say, but he is still not popular with anyone. Reading about how he loves to take interest in players he doesn’t know and help them out is getting very old, very fast. Don’t try and be a Good Samaritan to anybody. It is not your responsibility to help anyone else. And then you talk about the development of Damien’s players and how your son is the center of scrutiny. Guess what, maybe if you didn’t spend your time talking about what’s wrong and what’s right with Damien’s program you’d have time to apply your own advice to helping your son become a better player since you say everyone thinks he’s horrible. I find it hard to believe that since you know so much about high school football, your son doesn’t grasp those same ideas and performs at a high level in practice and on the field.

Then you go about singling out particular junior varsity players who were brought up to varsity. You took the time analyze why they are not playing the right positions and how they won’t succeed on varsity, while your son is apparently watching the game from the crowd. Maybe if you didn’t work with another player for free over the summer, we’d be talking about how good your son performs. If you were to ask those junior varsity players about being on varsity, you’d see that they are just bodies running the scout team. They don’t expect to play with the talent in front of them. Dressing up for a playoff game and practicing against the varsity is rewarding in itself. The responsibility by coaches in regards to development only goes so far. It is up to player to put the time in the gym and on the track to help him develop. Ian Johnson had the same coaches but yet he is a candidate for the Heisman and why? He decided to put the time and effort into becoming the best player he could be regardless of how he was coached.

Talking about other parents won’t help your cause either. It just makes you look worst then how your son apparently plays football. All you usually say about players is how big they are. “6’6’’ 300 lbs. and he can’t play division 1 in college. This is what you sound like all the time and guest what. There is something called talent and that player needs to obtain it whether his coaches are helping him or not. Next time you have an idea, think about it to yourself and let it go. Maybe if you decide to stop analyzing the wrongs with the program, players, and coaches you can spend time with your son so that people stop talking about what side of the bench he sits on.

Truly amazing how many haters there are in this group, and how personal they like get. 18DD, you are no different. Damien Dad, Bluorca, Mike the Clone, have deep outlooks and bring something extra to the blog, although I certainly DON'T buy everything they say, I'm glad they put alot into the discussions. I know they are going to rile me up, thats why i come back.

Damien Dad had to come out strong after the comments that were aired. His son should be proud. Damien Dad knows his shit, he's got football smarts. I've seen it up close.

18DD, welcome to the jungle! TAG your it!

Man i wish Damien would Hire "Damien dad" He knows EVERYTHING and would fix all our problems at all levels. What a waste of sideline coaching lolol

Damien Dad:

I agree with you that this blog is the forum to express opinions. My opinion is that you are a total and complete bore! Find a rock and crawl under it, please! None of the parents from DHS are interested in your opinions or takes. You stand apart from the rest of the parents. NEVER once did you encourage my son...all you do is dis him and the other boys! They have learned to blow you off! You encourage them? Hardly! I understand you were the talk of the locker-room today for your comments....and when the parents heard about it in the parking lot, we were discussing YOU and YOUR complete anti-social, know it all, disgusting behavior. Stay away from us, JERK! Fortunately, the boys are so awesome, they don't hold it against your boy and neither do we. You however, must consider your son and the shame you bring to him. Poor kid. Do your boy a favor, SHUT-UP! You're embarrassing him. If my father did to me, what you are doing to your boy, he would have lost his credibility and respect with me. Is your son losing his respect for you because of your potty mouth on this board? and your vitriolic comments? I wouldn't eat pizza with you - I would rather throw it in your face!

Way to go Damien Dad! Where is this Pizza Blast place? When do you guys meet up? Have you been following Garfield? They won again last night. I went to their first round game against Reseda, they won it in double OT, but I had to work yesterday. Good luck against Temescal Cyn. They were a finalist last yr, we played them in game one. 42-3 I believe the shallacking was, but they didn't score in the second half. Their first stringers kicked our butts, but not their second string. We were just so friggin' young! I think we held your "next yr's team" scoreless in the half too, lol. Gimme some details on the pizza place bro, and I hope Salesian whips Maranatha tomorrow too!

This site allreday at 130 so this is my last one here.

Does this sound familiar, Im Mike the CLOWN and all JJA coaches are flunkies and my pop warner manfriend should give all you coaches in the valley a clinic, his marbles are really huge, Im sorry I mean he is a great coach he has tight pants, Im sorry I mean he has a lot of class.

What a riot you are, keep comming man I've never heard a more mixed up dude in my life your a classic, come on say something else.

Talk football man if you can, thats what its all about, oh I forgot Aram wont let you talk about another program until yours finally beats someone with a winning record or
wins a playoff game.

Hey I know of a grammer and english blog that youll have a lot of fun on, its right next to the I have a "mancrush on a coach" blog.

FOOTBALL you fool talk football if you can, talk about your teams game this weekend, thats what we are suppossed to do here you freaken retard, oh im sorry I forgot you dont have a team in the playoffs so shut up goone, goone, goone (buffalo 66) see it you are in it.

Kit(from) Carson-

Great reponse. I respect the way you looked at the issues. The comment about "resembles the RB" is so accurate. I was responding in kind that Talmo was running well as a scout RB. Same goes for the grooming points. "Sometimes" is what we're both talking about and couldn't agree more. My point was specific in nature not as a general practice.

As far as fielding well rounded athletes again couldn't agree more. and was my point in terms of moving people around and seeing fits earlier is all I was long winded blogging, lol, about.

As far as the stupid coments about the coaches decisions regarding personnel goes and the quick fix personnel decisions, best I can say is , "You had to be there the last two years!" Once again from a strictly abstract scenario I could not agree more with ALL your comments. As far as in the specific --- think GM Isaiah Thomas and the Knicks. "nuff said!

Thanks for a great take!

Real DHS fan-
I am neither sick nor a disgrace on any level except your cowardly mind. AND I DON'T SPEAK BAD ABOUT THE PLAYERS- ANY OF THEM! SO GET OFF THAT BULLSHIT! How many times have I said or done something POSITIVE for tons of players or parents and never once did I expect anything in return.

There is no magic oath Damien parents take that everyone has to conform. I'm at practice and no one has said a god dam thing to me regarding the blog. Not once in four months! Always here on the GD blog. You know I'm not hard to find, call or visit.

What makes you a real DHS fan? Standing up to me and mocking Zachary. FU. Go to the 5th Quarter and listen to some of the shit I've heard over the last 3 years coming from Boosters and Alumni. People talk, blow off steam and we ALL forget it the next day. We move on, people have a right to vent! Adult style, maybe even you made a few comments there or to me. People love their school, love their kids and have ownership of Damien and any decisions that affect their kids. That's my buy-in ASSHOLE. My kids.

I tell you what a "real" Damien Fan does. Takes in interest in a kid you've never met and don't know, work with him all summer for free, assure him every chance you get he's college material, talk about him on the blog because no one else will, call him before BIG games and tell him he's UNSTOPPABLE and that he'll have a great game as always, NEVER let him doubt himself even when others did, even when no one else sees his potential or believes he's the BEST DT IN THE VALLEY I tell him he is because HE IS!, makes sure he has new cleats, wait for him after every game because his Dad takes his wheel chaired grandma home and can't be there to congratulate him when he's the last one out of the locker room because he left it all on the field! And he's just flat tired. That's not tooting my horn that's the ME you know nothing about. I am a lot more substantial than this blog or your comments would have people believe. Ask parents who know me if the comments I make to their kids is positive and helpful.

I won't listen to anyone make ridiculous comments about my family or Zachary because I say something on this blog or wear your ear out at practice. Yeah Zach was responsible for giving up two SHUTOUTS! That's so cheap and cowardly what was I going to do ignore that slimeball comment? The man knew alot about the defensive scheme and was articulte and concise enough not to make such a lowbrow comment about Zach when he knew better and was just pushing my buttons. To "Another Damien Parent" once again FU for that last comment! That was cheap!

I have fun with the blog and don't need anyone's permission or approval to say or think as I please. I agrued once with Randy from DB and found out his uncle Eddie Medina went to Salesian and we meet at the JV DB game, talked about our kids and exchanged cell#'s during the game. No hard feelings. See it's easier to be civil when you meet the "person" and easier yet to be vicious when no one know who you are. So I'm organizing the BLOGGERS PIZZA BLAST to make this blog more civil and yet only a few cowardly ASSHOLES seem to try and disgrace my boys. That won't go unanswered EVER AGAIN! So once again. FU and anyone else that feels so inclined. Always with the stupid cloaked responses. I don't hide my name or opinion, but others have and when ANYONE comments about Zach you will always get me pissed and hot headed.

I made the mistake once of backing down for having nothing more than an opinion and Zachary was used viciously to quiet me. If I didn't think the practice went well, and everyone agreed with that assessment even COACH FED wanted to make radical changes and told me so on several occasions. Or if I thought the team wasn't playing well because of poor coaching it was "Zach sucks" comments. Why because I stated the obvious. So FU and anyone else who uses my son as a battering ram. Make sure you heard that well. Sounds like poetic justice somehow doesn't it?

The last time Alex Gomez' dad Eddie Gomez decided to make harsh comments to me and my family on this blog rather than ignore or disagree with me in person. Hell it's only football! And that lowlife worked out with Sergio and other's and still made a mockery of Sergio's kindness. Bad heart and ALL! Wonder what our friend George would think of "jumping on the Coronas like that!" Eddie Gomez! Do you remember that stupidity. What ever I say here is what I feel without ANY agenda. Don't like it too bad. Heard the stupid comments by Talmo on the DB JV tape? I don't even know that Flanders looking asshole that he would feel comfortable mocking me. What the F does he know about football!

Like I said before the coaching at the lower levels at Damien in football is lacking. No one with any real footbal knowledge or experience would disagree with that assessment. Sorry but coaching CYO for 6 years or being a recent Damien graduate or being a "nice" guy doesn't make you qualified to coach a dangerous sport. Maybe basketball or golf but tackle football is dangerous, as everyone at Damien knows too well.

I'll keep my comments to football or the pizza party from now on and ONCE AGAIN apologize to everyone for letting this get under my skin.

Damien Dad you are sick you disgrace Damien. You shouldnt be talking bad about any of the players they all did a great job this year. As far as your son hes a great guy and no one should be making bad remarks about. I believe that all the JV players are doing a great job on varsity and are trying their hardest. Lets all not lose are temper over stupid things. LETS GO SPARTANS AND GO GET TC

no, sorry bro, we are two unique and different people. Just like you are a one of kind a$$hole who won't let things go---yeah, that sums it up.

See you friday, tough guy? don't hide, come out and play!

Opps forgot hey "Fraudulant Bleedsblungold"

The post that you did at:

Was utterly laughable, entertaining but laughable go back and do your homework and point out some facts in your rant and have a take and don't suck!

Out!

Anyone want to make odds that "Whalehunter" and the fraudulent "Bleedsblungold" not the original are one and the same. Just look at their grammar, spelling and styling!

It's kind of funny watching these two struggle and squirm. One is still upset about Pop Warner ball and defending the bad rap he gives the truly great Pop Warner coaches. (Refer to an earlier tirade by this guy, and you be the judge if you want your kid’s around guys like this in the Pop Warner program).

And the “Whalehunter well what are you going to say ......just watch his incoherent rants that make no sense but non-sense whatsoever. Although it is hilarious watching him insert foot in mouth constantly.

Out!

re: grooming for next year

A boy that played freshman fullback may end up as a senior lineman, or a sophomore running back may play varsity cornerback. Boys grow up and could be different type players at age 17 from what they were at 14. Sometimes the "grooming" thing does not work. I think that letting the boys try different positions at different times during their growth is a smart thing to do. Maybe YOU would have played a different boy at quarterback or linebacker, but apparently the coaching staff has a different philosophy. It looks like, from reading your blog, the coaches are doing that. From my (long ago) experience, sometimes you find a diamond in the rough. Grooming a boy for a specific position may end up like trying to fit a square peg into a round hole...he was a wonderful freshman center, but now he's a better tight end.
This, I think, also holds true for a boy's developement during the season. There are times when a coach will have a boy starting the first game at a certain position, then in the third game he's someplace else, or off the field. Perhaps he didn't fit into the team philosophy, or the offense/defense is evolving. In my opinion, just get as many boys on the field who can play, and the higher level coaches will sort them out as they get older and mature. I believe that this results in a more "well rounded" athlete. You watch your team's practices and say, in effect, "see, that boy should have been there all year". Maybe he's a runner in practice now because he approximates the size and stature of the upcoming opponent's player. It might be just that simple and not that the previous coach was "stupid".

You know what, i'm through with this. Your going to come back with some 7th grade bullshit, and this will go on till Dec 9th. Your stlye bugs me. You try to come off as "all knowing", slamming everyone from coach P, to every pop warner coach on the sidelines. You try to impress with fast talking, fast cramming non-sense. But what you really come off as is a stooge, and you consistently prove it with your takes. You obvisouly never get through on the Rome show, so your frustration comes through here on this blog.

That being said, we really shouldn't attack each other because of differing opinions. I think we both just like to get on peoples nerves, I know i'm guilty of this once in awhile myself. Enjoy your friday night out on the town with Shammy.

I'll report back from the DR game as soon as i can friday with either highlights or lowlights! I know your you'll be anxiously awaiting. DRHS has had a helluva ride this year, taking on the world (except for Ayala)!

Word up my bruthas!

dearest plaid skirt wearing dork,

yes mike the clown, thats you, Coach P is an excellent high school football coach. But you only go so far with what you've got. He's not a MIRACLE WORKER, and your team was obviously not up to beating any heavy weight this season, oh except Rowland by one point.

Chino Hills? Damien? Redlands? you lost the big games that counted either for league or to advance in the playoffs, your boys didn't have the heart, probably because of the whole men wearing skirts things. Are you going with Shamu to the LA game?

Souns like bleedsblueandgold has your number too....later dork!

Dear whale hunter Bluroca and others now many can understand my corrections of this mike the Clown character he is constantly putting the players or the coaches down from programs he doesnt know a thing about, he blast pee wee kids, coaches he blast parents and he even blast other teams his program didnt have the marbles to play, I think we should bar this guy from speaking about anything other than his own program and how they are doing.

This is the same character who said that all coaches in valley needed a seminar from his kids pee wee coach because he is the greatest of all time or something to that affect, and this is the same wise guy who is allways apologizing for saying something stupid every time he blogs.

On a reral subject now my game predictions for this friday, my gut says final four in southwest are all from S.G.V.

I think Diamond ranch has one great game and knocks off eldorado, why D-ranch tougher and has faced lots of adversity they win 21-20 or something close

Im really leaning toward South Hills over Charter Oak, I feel S/H has a passing game that C/O doesnt, and we all know what C/O's nick name is, also some key kids hurting on O for Charter.
S/H 17- 14 or 14-7

Los Altos is still the dark horse here but I feel foothill is good, can punch but doesnt like to get punched in mouth, Los Al more physical, O/C teams are great against other O/C teams but struggle against the more physical teams.
the years that Los Al has won titles the other teams suppossed to win, had better size and talent but Los Al was tougher inside.
Los Al 21-17 or 28-21

West Co definitely moves on to next round here again tougher kids for W/C, and playing best ball right now dont feel they can be stopped on way
