Frank,
Its good to hear from you and great to see that Duffy and you were having some good memories to look back at. Those were good times, and unfortunately they went by to fast. I never get to see my son play as a child under my roof, now I get to see him play as a man in college. How fast they grow. Never the less, I am just blessed that I had those experiences that I will never forget...Im sureyou know the feeling. Mike is on track to graduate, and I will just keep my fingers, and toes crossed that he does well. I always remind him that he has to remember people like you who have always stood behind him and to always think twice about every thing he does. I tell him to remember all the negative people out there who are just waiting for him to fail, and to make sure that he proves them wrong. Again Frank, thank you for always being there for Mike
we both appreciate it!!!
take care
Jody

Mrs Mc D, spent a Saturday talking to Coach Duffy about Mike at a wrestling tournament and he kept me in stitches telling me about the "ambulance runs" Mike had as a young football player. He also mentioned Mike's uncle Jim. He had nothing but positive things to say about you, Jim and Mike. It was a pleasure hearing Mrs. Duffy tell me about "litle Mike". You're right Mike brings smiles to the faces of parents, coaches and fellow students who remember him as a kid with tons of energy and an easy smile. The Duffys send their best and were in awe of Mike's accomplishments. Like I told them Mike is one of the top five players I have ever seen play. What an incredible "will". You should be very proud.
As always best of luck to you and Mike. Glad to hear his grades are up and that people have seen their efforts take hold. Matthew can't wait to see him play in All Star games. Any news when and where he'll play. Please keep Mike's "fans/supporters" posted. See you then.
To the ass wipes with nothing better to do than torment this woman....grow a set!

THANK YOU TO THE SUPPORTERS FOR THE KIND WORDS AND THE ENCOURAGEMENT YOU ALWAYS GIVE ME AND MY SON.
AS FOR THE BOYS WITH THE ICE CREAM MAN COMMENT...
THE MAN WAS ASKED HIS OPINION...AND HE SAID MIKE HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH IT...THAT IS WHY HE WAS CHARGED WITH RECIEVING A STOLEN ICE CREAM FROM HIS FRIEND. HE WASNT CHARGED WITH ACCESSORY, HE WAS NOT CHARGED WITH ROBBING SOMEONE WITH A WEAPON...LIKE ALL YOUR INSULTING UNTRUE ACCUSATIONS...HE PLEAD NO CONTEST TO EATING A STOLEN ICE CREAM...SO GET YOUR ICE CREAM ROBBERY STORIES STRAIGHT!!! YOU ARE RIGHT I SHOULD HAVE
TAUGHT MY SON NOT TO EAT ICE CREAMS THAT WERE STOLEN. HE WAS WRONG...IS THAT A CRIME THAT MAKES HIM A HORRIBLE CRIMINAL I DONT THINK SO. CRIME IS CRIME THOUGH...JUST LIKE SIN IS SIN...WHATS YOUR SIN????
AS FAR AS MICHAELS TEACHERS;
I WAS IN THE DEANS OFFICE TODAY AND WAS APPROACHED BY FOUR TEACHERS AND A THE DEAN WHO TOLD ME THAT MIKE IS DOING GREAT AND HAS TURNED IT COMPLETELY AROUND. THAT THEY JUST WANTED TO LET ME KNOW. THAT IS THE SECOND GROUP OF TEACHERS THAT HAVE TOLD ME THAT SO MAYBE HE HAS FINALLY WOKE UP.
STOP MAKING UP YOUR STORIES AND EXAGERATING THE FACTS...IF YOU KNOW THE TRUE FACTS THAN STATE THEM, BUT ACCUSING HIM OF ROBBING A ICE CREAM MAN WITH A KNIFE IS UNTRUE. HE WOULD NOT HAVE PLAYED THIS SEASON AT ALL IF HE WAS THE ONE WHO DID COMMIT THAT CRIME, IT DOES NOT TAKE A ROCKET SCIENTIST TO FIGURE THAT OUT.
I JUST WISH AFTER ALL THE CRAP THAT YOU TALK ABOUT MY SON, THAT YOU SAY WHAT YOUR ACCOMPLISHMENTS ARE, WHAT THINGS HAVE YOU DONE SO SPECIAL IN YOUR LIFE? HOW MUCH OF AN IMPACT HAVE YOU MADE IN THE SGV? OR ARE YOU A NOBODY WITH NO SPECIAL RECOGNITIONS OF YOUR OWN!!! I SUSPECT THAT IS THE CASE, CAUSE IT MAKES YOU GREEN TO SEE HIM BE THE FIRST IN 20 YEARS TO WIN SGVTRIBUNE POY BACK TO BACK. LIKE I SAID BEFORE FOR EVERY ONE OF YOUR NEGATIVE COMMENTS, THERE ARE 3-4 POSITIVE ONES ALWAYS FOLLOWING BEHIND. THATS WHAT MEANS THE MOST. JUST REMEMBER AND COUNT, YOU AND YOUR OPINIONS ARE OUTNUMBERED.

Is there a person out there who doesn't have a take on Mike McD? His whole career made for a pretty amazing story. I understand that people are very divided on him. I just wish that more people would be rooting for him to overcome whatever problems he might have/had and do the best he can. It should be remembered there are a lot of people who made errors during their youth but went on to have very good lives.
Posted by: Aram | January 8, 2007 7:30 PM
Hey Infamous,
Tell me how many HS players of all sports are out there smoking pot....thats breaking the law...McD goes back to back and all the negative crap comes from people like you who do not know what they are talking about.
Posted by: MATMTWTBAG | January 8, 2007 3:20 PM
Sad to see bloggers expressing indignation concerning the McDs and then expressing themselves with undignified spiteful comments.
Why? What a terrible waste of time. Two times means Mike was without question the most spectacular player in the SGV. That's an accomplishment few have achieved at any level. Going back to back separates Mike from his peers. I don't see or hear ANY of Mike's peers saying anything to contradict Mike's selection. That speaks volumes.
Get a grip you adolescent child and move on to pulling the legs off of spiders or whatever sadistic things twisted assholes like you do. You're pathetic...and easily forgotten. poof! gone!
Posted by: Slime ball repellant | January 8, 2007 1:58 PM
Mike McD is more like INFAMOUS! You say everyone makes bad decisions - they do. But most kids that make bad decisions don't break the law. There is a complete difference between breaking the law and the "growing pains" of adolescents. And what's with the "single mom" praises? Does him Mom deserve a metal for doing what she was supposed to do? I don't think so. There are so many single Mom's out there that raise their children without "bumps in the road" like Mike has had. Sounds to me like Mikey needed his little ass spanked more frequently and he wouldn't have had these problems. I'm so tired of hearing about Mike and his Mom....let's move on! PLEASE!
Posted by: Infamous | January 8, 2007 11:25 AM
"once in a few generations player? Far superior than all other players?" Are you kidding me? Yes, the kid had great stats. But let's not put him in the class of some of the other greats in the Valley. It's an insult to Eri Bienemy, Lawrence Phillips, McCutheon, Shaun Cody, Harwell, and many others that were truly great players in the Valley against much better competition. Covina had a quarterback (Ulrich) 10 years ago or so that led them to a CIF title and was a great kid on and off the football field. I guess generations are getting shorter these days.
Posted by: Generations | January 8, 2007 10:21 AM
To McD Mom,
It all comes from jealousy when these bloggers come in here and rip you and your son. What your young man accomplished at Covina High will be remembered for years to come. He is the once in a few generations player that just is far superior to the rest of the other players. My Son plays for Amat and played with Mike over in Jr. All American when they were Gremlins or Jr. Peewees with the Bruins......I was impressed with Mike then and am impressed with Mike today. Everyone especially HS kids make mistakes and some are still out there making them , we all did it and it is part of growing up. If JC is where Mike plays you tell me how many HS fans will be there to see his first game. Dont listen to all this BS here. You have a special son and you are leading him in the right direction. I too was raised by my Mom only and times did get tough with Education after HS but it all worked out in the end. Keep up the good work. It is people like youself that believe and will get to where they are going. Always wondered what Mike would have done had he played for Amat...Greatness no doubt. Looking forward to seeing Mike play at the JC level...
A AMAT backer.

ok tommy t, i have nothing to say to you. your not even in this conversation anymore. all you do is same the same old meat head things. call people names whatever. your a freakin soccer player dude, didnt even play football so stop giving us your opinions. and whats up with you attacking aram and his restaurants of choice? your a low classless individual. especially when your bro in law isnt afraid of the dinner table or buffett either. i do have to ask where bernal is on the team because he exposed the rowland defense for what it was. always in the right position, just couldnt make the tackle. poor tackling from the linebackers. thats why one d lineman made it. honestly, thats all that should have. tommy t, your a bum. oh, keep guessing my occupation. keep putting down others also. your one likeable guy arent you. bet everyone loves sitting next to you at a football game. stop coming on here. kind of figured you would stop liking aram after the teams came out. like i said, kiss a mans butt to get what you want but when the truth comes out and he makes a decision to not put on your nephew or whatever he is, you start rippin on him and his weight? what a winner you are. your like a little kid. you complain, whine, moan, bit#@, cry, take your ball and go home. your a tired act. i think i speak or aram and everyone else but your family when i say "beat it"
Posted by: think about it | January 7, 2007 11:21 PM
most staff, teachers and whatever dont agree with your thoughts mcd's mom. just thought i would ask, where were you when he was robbing the poor ice cream man at knife point? does anyone even know about that or are we doing the whole political thing and acting like that never happened? dont come on here and tell us what a saint he is. good football player- yes. good student- no comment. good role model or leader on campus- lmao. instead of "lol" for laughing out loud, i put "lmao" for laughing my a%$ off. good night

Let's get this straight. McD is 5-9. That is why he isn't getting the D-1 offers. If he was atleast 6-1 or maybe able to get away with being listed at 6-1 believe you-me, he'd be playing D-1 football next season. Period. He is a good QB, and a very good FOOTBALL PLAYER.

Mrs. McD,
You can always count on those who appreciate Mike's talent and your unflinching love for him to have your back. I must admit he is one of the greatest individual competitors I have ever seen. Mike is a lucky man to have a great support system behind him.
I believe he will continue to amaze true football fans where ever he plays. And I feel fortunate to have seen him play. Tell Mike he has nothing but love all the way in Whittier! Kids like him are hard to forget. My son asked me if Mike won again and when I told him yes he smiled from ear to ear! That's great he said. They still giving him a hard time on the blog? When I said yes he said..What are you going to do...people hate greatness. Then he asked how you were doing. I told him...She's tougher than MIKE!!! Good luck Jody. All your dreams and Mike's will come true...And won't THAT be sweet!

WHAT,
What I wrote is what I mean, every word of it. Does it matter to me what you think, or what kind of impression it makes on you...no!!! My son has a reading disability and will and has struggled all his life academically. Does he put his focus on his education??? Well I guess he will have to now won't he??? And another thing, how do you know how involved with my sons education or his life I have been. If you know anyone in CV you ask any kid, parent, teacher and coach, counselor, dean principle, janitor, boosters, etc.if mike mcdonoughs mother is involved in his life. Mike is ahead in credits, and has passed the high school exit exam and like I said before, next is JC and the a University. Whether it takes us short or whether it takes us long the point is we will get there! You can count on it! Im proud of my son, always will be, and no pathetic little insults from you, or anyone else could ever take that away. Hey maybe hes not the best academically But he is the best athletically...very few are the best at both...we are very exstatic with him being the best in football in the sgv... Im am sure that will open some doors somewhere eventually!! but until then we will be working hard to get him where he needs to be...call it an excuse...call it what you want...I call it a GOAL!!!!

WHAT?
It takes a small excuse of a man to sink as low as you did. Like a poor excuse of a man that you are you sit by your monitor and say hurtful comments and then piss in your pants with morbid pleasure at the thought that someone's feelings were hurt....and YOU caused their pain. And that's really what you're about...saying the outrageous for the sake of attention and spitefullness. How chicken shit of you! I don't even believe you know what you're talking about or care for that matter...what matters is that you think you matter. You are a pathetic individual. God help you.
Posted by: What a pathetic LOSER | January 5, 2007 3:58 PM
HOLD UP, McD Mom. Now I see where Mike gets his keen ability to make excuses. YOU. Sure, Mike received letters from Colorado and Washington - as did any other kids with Mike's stats - But, that's as far as it went. Chances are, Mike's coach got a call from these great schools and the second they heard he had terrible grades, and was severely undersized and had character issues they hung up the phone and wished Thomas good luck.
Let's get this straight..you said: "MIKE DOES HAVE TO GO WITH THE JC BECAUSE I FEEL THAT IF HE WENT STRAIGHT TO A UNIVERSITY HE WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN PREPARED ACADEMICALLY." Uh, hello...earth to MOM....I think you got that backwards. Mike is going to a JC becasue he wasn't prepared academically for a university...did he pass the SAT or ACT?? Doubt it. You said something that stood out to me...you said that you were "very much involved in his football career"....that's just the problem...get involved in his "academic career" and your son would be going to a college or university next year....so please, don't insult our intelligence and make some BS statement like YOU PLANNED IT THIS WAY...COME ON!
Posted by: WHAT | January 5, 2007 2:11 PM
Covina Mom, your welcome for the comments. I think that was a great picture of you 4 in the tribune. It really shows who helped Mike to this point, as im sure their were many more also. I really hope he continues his career somewhere.
As far as Tyrone Torres, i played youth football with him. I know he coaches the freshman team over at B.P. and from what ive heard and seen, he's doing a really good job over there. Best of luck to you and your son in the future..

BRAVETOWN:
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT AND KIND COMMENTS, MIKE NEVER READS THE BLOG BUT I PRINT HIM COMMENTS OF SUPPORT SUCH AS YOURS. I WILL BE SURE
TO SHOW HIM YOUR MESSAGE. MIKE WILL PLAY AT THE JC AS QUARTERBACK ACCORDING TO THE COACHES UP THERE, AND EVENTUALLY WORK HIS WAY TO A UNIVERSITY. WHAT PEOPLE DONT KNOW IS WE HAVE RECIEVED NUMEROUS LETTERS FROM WASHINGTON HUSKIES, AND COLORADO BUFFALOS SINCE LAST YEAR AS WELL AS OTHERS. I JUST NEVER LET ALL THE CRAP TALKING BLOGGERS KNOW OUR BUSINESS. MIKE DOES HAVE TO GO WITH THE JC BECAUSE I FEEL THAT IF HE WENT STRAIGHT TO A UNIVERSITY HE WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN PREPARED ACADEMICALLY. WE WILL GET THERE THE WAY I PLANNED IT...CALCULATED. I AM VERY MUCH INVOLVED IN THE PLANS OF HIS FUTURE FOOTBALL CAREER AND ANYONE WHO KNOWS ME, KNOWS THAT I USUALLY ATTAIN MY GOALS, AS WELL AS HIS. I TRULY APPRECIATE ALL THE DOWN TO EARTH SENSIBLE BLOGGERS THAT KNOW THAT HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS DO SOMETIMES MAKE MISTAKES, AND THAT THEY CAN AND DO RECOVER FROM THEM. I PERSONALLY WORK WITH HUNDREDS OF KIDS IN MY PROGRAM THE VIKINGS, WHO HAVE MANY PROBLEMS AND TURN THEM AROUND TO PLAY FOOTBALL. WE JUST HAVE TO HAVE HOPE, AND BELIEVE IN THEM, SOMETIMES THATS ALL IT TAKES. AS FAR AS MY SON, I HAVE HOPE AND BELIEVE IN HIM WITH EVERY OUNCE OF MY HEART. TAKE CARE AND BEST OF LUCK TO THE BRAVES (TYRONE TORRES IS A GOOD FRIEND AND COACH OF MINE ON THE VIKINGS!)

Thank you, and the team for a great finish to an average season. Sorry, your last game had to be cut short like it was. My kids, (one's on the Frosh team) and I were in the stands when you were on the track. Believe me, we all wanted to be down there kicking dirt with ya.

Hey Think about it or Think real hard or Get a Clue or Take a nap or I'm a Moron or I'm a Coward or Go to sleep: Oh that's right you have a sleeping disorder and you can't sleep. I'm sure you can't sleep at night because you sleep in your Taxi all day. Or whatever you call yourself. If your a man give your name but you won't. It's easy for you to come in here and spout off when you don't have to give your name, Your a Punk and I'm sure someone some day will beat you up. Aram, here's a solution. Let the coaches in the SGV pick the All-Area Team just like they do it in the Inland Empire. You can't be at every game so this way you can spend alot more time at the buffet line. If you create a blog and then you personally pick an all area team and you don't go by stats, what do you expect. Did you ever see RUDY. He had heart, but he wouldn't make the all-area team. Get a clue and don't set up a blog and then trash your readers that disagree with you. Also stay away from the Cold Stone, it's giving you a brain freeze. Tell Joe Amat (your brother or boy friend) to shut his pie hole.
That's right it's me Tommy T

You are truly a great football player. It would be a shame if you never strap it up again, because you are someone who could play at the next level. I know you went through some trouble in your h.s. career, as some kids do, but its fortunate that football was there for you and you found it important enough to commit to it. Congrats to your family as well, as they stuck beside you and im sure guided you to this point.

"Think about it"
To answer your question about if i really want my dad on the blog saying stuff...well the truth is i could care less...he has fun with it so watever...I dont ever remember him kissing arams ass like you say and aram would back him up on that for sure. Jon Couwenhoven(correct spelling) is a hell of a football player...definetely had one of the bigger hearts on the team and had alot of game to go with it, as for the living situation and all that, no one but my family and the couwenhoven family knows anything about that, as for the all are did he deserve it? who knows I would put him on my all area team, but then i would put alot of rowland players on my all area team...so what if we got knocked out in the first round of CIF...we made it there, 2 years back to back...more than we could say for last 10+ teams to go through that school...people also forget that we did beat South Hills for the first time since 1982. Lastly you talk about bashing kids, sounds to me like you bashed on me, not that i care. I play football cause i love the game, cause its fun. NFL, National Championship, thats all dreams. I just want to go to college get my education and move on, look back on this blog and laugh. Another thing isnt it basketball season...not to mention i know my team is preparing for the 2007 football season, but were on here still talking about the 2006 season...and what kind of mom names there son "Think about it" damn thats unique.
P.s. i wouldnt play for your team anyways

TOMMY T and JOE.
wow, guess you got yours didnt you. its so sad that you act like this and put down kids and coaches just to make yourselves feel better. tommy t you name around 7 kids to make the all valley or tribune teams from rowland. do the math, that doesnt leave many spots for the other teams now does it? and for a team that didnt make it out of the first round, doesnt really seem right does it? oh wait, its the coaches! cant come to the realization that maybe you guys just werent that good. heard talk of rowland being the best team in school history? haha, watched rowland back in the sierra league for years and your team wasnt even top 5 in school history. you may have had some talent there but when you dont have it for so long, then you get a little taste of it, you tend to over-rate it. "it" being talent. then again, as everyone knows, talent only takes you so far, must play as a team. and from previous blogs on here, didnt seem like the so called "star players" were trying to play as a team. didnt one of the kids get benched if im not mistaken, and they still beat south hills without him? bet the raiders could have used about 22 of the john couenhoven's or however you spell it. you see joe, i think your son does have some and i mean some talent. needs to get faster and stronger. alot faster. so instead of you flappin away on here, why dont you go out and work with him. you know everything, you know what to do right? what you dont understand is, i wouldnt take your son on my team ever. not because i dont like him or he cant play, because i wouldnt want to deal with you. look at what you do on here. you suck up and kiss arams ass all year. joke with him and whatever. we call that brown noseing where i come from. if you keep suckin butt, pretty soon you start chokin on pooh. well you didnt get what you wanted so you turn on aram. another player from rowland gets a better award then your son and you turn on him. then on his parents. you say horrible things to the mother. how can you question a mothers parenting when she is trying to provide? damn you. you are the lowest of lows. you are scum for that. you make me sick. and to call out the kid and say he never thanked you for putting a roof on his head? oh f'n grow up. are you taking tabs joe on who says thank you here and there. did you ever stop and put yourself in your son's shoes. maybe deep down in, he doesnt want his dad on a blog letting everyone know his info. where hes going, what hes doing. what school he attended, all that crap. maybe he is thinking, i wish my dad would shut the hell up because he makes it real uncomfortable for everyone. im sure chad's friends get on here and read all of this. from the looks of it, you have created a pretty awkward situation for john and chad. i think its the blog of the year when "rhonda" lets everyone know you made a high school kid pay rent to sleep on your floor. what a great guy you are. get over yourself. aram, i congratulate you on the blog this year. it was fun reading and being a part of. hopefully joe and tommy t take a hike and go play in traffic during rush hour so we never deal with them again. hopefully the rowland parents will fill everyone in on how the banquet went. should be alot of fun with joe there. oh and my apologies to couenhouven for butchering his name on here. i think thats how you spell it.
Posted by: think about it | January 2, 2007 1:26 AM
hey 74! Sam must have kicked your ass just like everyone else did. Seeing how you had every "physical" advantage all year long...how come you did not make "any" All Area Teams? Or at least All Area Honorable Mention? Not sure about All League..did you make those teams?
"I" think you're an awesome player( and blogged so ..OFTEN!) "I" also think you're the hardest working O big man I've seen in a long time(and blogged so...OFTEN!) I also think you were "jobbed". So why the hostility? Why do you try so hard to offend my family when everytime I see you or mention YOUR name it's ALWAYS POSITIVE? Maybe you're taking up other people's fights but really there is no need to continue when I know who you are and have for a long time. I don't mean to come down on you publicly but really you're being personally offensive and not talking football...understand?
So tell me why didn't your coach nominate you? I saw you play all year and dominate your man so why the lack of love?
Maybe instead of coming on here questioning my football knowledge and spewing crap at me all the time... you could spend your time figuring out why you were omitted...and I didn't vote but would have for you. But again,by your own words, "what do I know?" what do "I" know? So do you disagree with me again? ...that you should have been mentioned with other players who had great seasons and received NO AWARDS or should people think with your size you suck big time. Next time when you see me on campus tell me why you chose to "pile on", when all I've ever seen you play is offense and ALL if ever said about "your" position coach is extremely POSITIVE (again..and blogged so..OFTEN!)
Good luck next year. And instead of crapping on the training others received ask J what I got out of it. ZERO! Also ask him what it costs "him". $$$$...ZERO! Same for you...because ...like "J" I think you got screwed. That's why he was helped ...because "J" deserved better than 3 plays a game. And that big boy IS MY OPINION. Don't ask anyone else...go to the source..ASK "J". Before you bash your favorite father figure. You just might find out that people are nicer than you give them credit for...Your call...either way I'll sleep well at night knowing I did nothing wrong other than offer help.

The amount of preparation, discipline, and confidence to win that game by Boise State was incredible. Who calls THOSE plays to win a game? Who practices THOSE plays enough that NOTHING goes wrong and EVERTHING goes perfect?
I have NEVER seen a coach get out coached like that before! Bob Stoops and Oklahoma are as much stunned as they are in AWE of Boise State's TEAM and STAFF! That was, from a player's perspective, awe inspiring!
How do you coach, practice and foster that kind of commitment and class into one team.
They always believed in each other, showed class in victory and to top it ALL off Ian Johnson proposes on National TV! Then, when it could NOT get better...the Head Coach Peterson gives credit for the game pass, catch and reverse TD to his two "back up quarterbacks"...even the most jaded fan has to be inspired by Boise State!
A.P. National Champions...Boise State! Everything that's RIGHT about college sports!

Hey Joe Amat or Aram's Brother whoever you are.
In my opinion, the Rowland players that I mentioned all deserve to be 1st or 2nd team. I don't know the other players in the Area, just like your brother doesn't know them either. Read the whole blog before you spout off. I'm sure that I won't make the all area blog team because Aram (your brother) can't read all of the blogs every week, he probably only reads a few a week, unless you call him and let him know how we all did. Niether you or your brother have interviewed me so I will be left off. I tell you NO RESPECT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Get a Life J....oe A....mat aka Jack...Ass
Just praise you Lowly Lancers when they have another good season and say Hi to your brother.

Rex Foss had a phemon year on both sides of the ball! Congrats to his proud and classy Dad. Hope parents and players take you up on the Speed Agility and Quickness Training. That level of expertise is invaluable to any player at any position. It clearly paid off for Rex. Didn't seem to refuffle any feathers at Los Altos or their coaching staff, lol. That kind of "help" is what players do to get the extra edge. It never conflicts with the coaching philosophy of any school because it NOT teaching FOOTBAL it's training for your body and mind...it just makes you quicker, faster, better balanced and sharper...hey ALL THE PROS DO IT!
Maybe you can give that name of the trainer again.

Anonymously as usual....going to a blogger anonymous meeting...last one this year. Then I take off my electronic blogger ankle bracklet. lol. buenas noches. boo hoo.
No need to ask T.H. or anyone else...no kid on the football team next year so I'll be busy reading about his T.H.'s ALL League and All Area Awards next year. Coach Lucero is "surviving" me, lol By the way say hi...to Mr. and Mrs. H. , seeing that you speak for them, and his biggest fan...THE AUNT (who is the coolest football fan on the planet)! keep trying...

Tommy T,
People like you make me chuckle. You rip on Aram for picking a team and only seeing a couple of games a week (although you neglect the countless phone calls, interviews and research prior to those couple of games).
Then you claim that certain players "deserve" 1st or 2nd team, got no "respect" and you are "puzzled" that they didn't get more.
But then you admit to not knowing any other players and ONLY seeing Rowland play !!!
It's just not fair for us to have a battle of wits with an unarmed man.
Simply recognize and congratulate your beloved Raiders and give them props on a great season and the leave the criticisms out of your posts. You'd be much more respected.

All-Area Team
There are alot of kids that deserve recognition. What puzzles me more is that Rowland won league and they only had 2 kids on the first and second team. Aram, Where's the respect, I see alot of disrespect for a Team that was filled with talent. You have to realize that with better coaching this team would have gone far. Just ask other coaches in the area, they will tell you but they won't give there name. They have told me. Basically all this is a Stats competition because Aram wasn't at every game so he had to go by stats. This Team should be picked by the area coaches not a beat writer that attends one or maybe 2 two games a week. I only know the kids on Rowland because I have been watching them for 4 years. Chad, Renee, Philip, Both John's, Leonard and a few others. You all deserved to be 1st or 2nd team because of your Heart alone. The fans all know where the issues were at Rowland and it wasn't the players. All you kids should walk around school with pride, Go see the Rocky Movie and listen to what Rocky tells his kid outside the restaurant. Follow the Rock's words and you will go far and if you still don't get it go see Pursuit of Happyness and listen to every word Will Smith says as his character. This is a true story. You can create your own destiny by following these words. Good Luck to all wherever you land.
That's right it's me Tommy T (your favorite fan)
PS...J.W. North got punked for the State Championship they were 14-0 and a team that was 11-2 went instead. Did Aram choose that also?????

STUDENT-ATHLETE CONCEPT
YOU HAVE BEEN RIGHT ON AND THIS ARTICLE THIS WEEK JUST CONFIRMS THAT AWARDS DONT MEAN SHIT WITHOUT GRADES FIRST!
USC: Van Blarcom unsure of future
BY SCOTT WOLF Staff Writer
USC kicker Troy Van Blarcom is unsure if he will attempt to re-enroll, transfer to another school or even continue playing football following his academic dismissal last week.
Van Blarcom, who handled kickoff duties for the Trojans, received a 1.9 grade-point average this semester and needed a 2.3 to remain eligible. He could go to a junior college and reapply to USC or transfer to another school.
But sources close to Van Blarcom said he is not sure if he will try to return to USC. It's also debatable if USC would want to award another scholarship to a player who is an academic risk.
"I'm disappointed," USC coach Pete Carroll said. "He's been on the edge for a long time and knew what he needed to do."

Alrigt Corona here we go again!!!!!!!!
Jeffrulerson is right all the Damien B.S. revolves around you. How dare you try and take credit for Travis and Luiten. You did nothing to help them. What you worked out with them a few times over one summer and now after all these years they got better give me a break. Ask Taylor Herrera what he thinks of your help.
Travis and Luiten got better because they busted their ass all year long "they" are the reason they got better not you. They worked hard in the weight room and during summer running at Damien.
Their Coaches did a hell of a job with them all season long but thats not why they got better its because they listened to their coaches and worked their asses off all season long!! It was them!!!
You crack me up!!! You think everything revolves around you. You come on this blog like you are all knowing and truth is you know very little about football. You say Damien did better when they switched to a four man d-line. DUMB ASS THEY HAVE BEEN RUNNING A FOUR MAN LINE FOR FOUR YEARS!!!!!!! They never switched!!!
Then you wanna come on this blog and blast Coach Carroll about being a bad coach after his defense allows a little over 9 points a game!!!!!!! ARE YOU SERIOUS!!!!!! He did one hell of a job this year but you would not know that because you dont know football
Like i said everything revolves around you from what i hear your son is a terrific young man but its to bad that "YOU" turned the entire J.V. football team against him with all the crap you say on this blog. Thats not normal MOST parents are their for the kids but not you!!!! Its all about you!!! Why not just keep quiet and enjoy his high school experience like most other parents??? Because its not about him its about you!!!
Understand i am NOT attacking your kid!!! Its you!! quit turning kids against him because you want everyone to "THINK" you are some kind of football genius.
Most importantly quit attacking people on this blog!!! I know you are gonna say im just stating my opinion right. Well your so called opinion effects others as you always say "how christian of you" Your such a hipocrit. You come on here and attack Coach Carroll thats not right That is his job!!!! Coaching football helps support his family how would like it if we started a blog about your job and talked about all the things you do wrong so maybe your boss could read about it on a blog "wouldnt like it would you"
Maybe i should not have typed this up!!!!! Its exactly what you want some one to talk about who else..... YOU!!!!!!
Posted by: Frank Corona | December 31, 2006 9:49 AM
Jeffrulerson, sorry to say you've answered and agreed with "him" on numerous occasions. Even supported "him" several times. The truth of the matter is you, like the others from Damien, just did not KNOW it was "him". Guess that one sided theory did not hold water. It was just personal.
On this thread alone "he's" had multiple names (more than 10). And never once was "he" back handed like before. In fact, if "he" had made similar remarks, like the ones you've alluded to about Bruno, which by your own admission, you did even "know" before but commented on anyway. Nonetheless, you might have been one of the first to smack "him" down. It seems you've minimized Bruno's accomplishments when all you've shown is you lack a basic knowledge of football. Not knowing the value of "assisted tackles" (i.e. "pursuit/gang tackling) further proves what has long been suspected... you, like the others, known very little other than being petty and anonymous. By the way what position did any of you play?
I'll allow you to converse with me some more...and never again allow you to know it's me. You worthless coward. At least when Rowland "joe" said something outrageous four things happened at Rowland (to their credit)
1) They responded to him by name.
2) They addressed the validity of his position...again by name.
3) Joe came on here..again by name... and either apologized, stuck to his guns, or said he was misunderstood (all valid responses)
4)"Parties" mutually agreed it had gone too far and stopped..either by leaving the blog or by mutual agreement. Again by name.
At Glendora..Mike the CLone ..never hid his contempt for mediocrity, in any shape or form, and said so with unabashed fearlessness. I even had differences of opinion with him but he always stuck to his guns.
HOW DID THE GLENDORA CROWD RESPOND?
They all knew and know who "MIKE THE CLONE" is but never once attacked his son, Never once said his name or called him out by name and say disgusting things about him and his "worthless" value to the school or pontificate to all..".
All those hurtful comments directed at my son as a way of hurting "him" to silence "me". All those vemonmous digusting comments that my friends and family could read...and why? Because I disagreed with your collective view of the world. How incredibly cowardly.
It would have been fun to have a "grown up" season ending Pizza Blast to finish the first blog season but that would have been too easy to not discredit. Have fun on this blog and if you disagree with my often irritaing opinions just know they are about football and some of us enjoy the game because we played it.
Start the New Year off right and follow Rowland's lead. Step 1...is in your court. Sir.
Happy New Year to Aram, Reg, Kameron,Mrs. McD, Mike "Moose" McD 2x's POY, Ralph Diaz, 74-Colt Alumni, BIG DADDY, MATMWWTBAG, Wings, and others who made this a fun "oasis" from a very difficult time in my life. Last but not least a big shout out to my school yard buddy Sergio V. for coming out and helping Travis and Luiten accomplish their goals...they both had awesome seasons and both owe you a ton of thanks and appreciation. Without you someone's still running a 5.19/40 and the other..well Justin just needed a boost of confidence is all. Justin was always a CIF 1st Teamer on any other team. At Amat J.L is signed by now. Leaving the blog again until next football season...or not!

Good morning boys and girls it is exactly 3:19 in the morning and i am just getting home for norms (had a great chuck wagon) but that is a different story.
I have not post in some time but i got the "itch" as the gamblers say.
Let me first just kill the whole talk abot whether or not McD deserves the POY.
There is not a more impact player in the valley...ask coachs who have seen him, ask players who have played against him.
I dont have to say look at the numbers..you have heard them...i would type them all out...but they are so high....i mean come who scores 104 touchdowns in TWO SEASONS...hell most kids dont score 100 touchdowns in there whole football career. no matter who you say he played or did'nt play, the fact is that he scored more touchdowns in 2 seasons then any one else in sgv valley history. Conversaton Over
People, people, people, how you humor me with your "slanted" high moral standard....dont sit here and spew your hate towards a 16 year old kid....who has made some very poor choices, no doubt about that.....but alot of kids make those same mistakes and now you call them President, Senator, Wife, Husband or whatever...the point is that everyone deserve another shot to get things right...
Umm lastly, I am a outspoken liberal..but even i know there is a time and a place...so i am hear to let you in on a little secret, that time and place is not on a sports blog.
peace
the legend returns
