What about the best WR in the SGV? Rex Foss.

END OF SEASON TOP 5 RB's/WR's:
1.Jordan Edmond RB-1520 Rush Yds. 433 Rec. Yds. 15 TD's(13 Rush.)
Jordan capped off his Glendora High football career on a high note dominating the whole Sierra League stepping up when Glendora needed him most.Unfortunately, he did not have a stellar outing in the Playoffs mainly due to dismal blocking. He still managed to pinch off 81 rushing yds and 28 recieving yds.

2.Michael Johnson WR-848 Rec. yds. 42 Rush. Yds. 12 TD's(7 Rec.)
Johnson had a slow start to the season but he was there for Charter Oak when they needed him the most.Against the 1st seeded, La Mirada High School, he helped to lead his Chargers to a 24-21 victory with 170 recieving yards and two touchdowns. His late season push through the playoffs was the key factor to Charter Oak's monumental run through the CIF Playoffs as the sixteenth overall seed.

3.Aaron Harris RB-1463 Rush. Yds. 149 Rec. Yds 30 TD's(28 Rush.)
Unfortunately for Harris, we take level of play into account.Harris has incredible stats but taking into account the level of competition he played, it is tough to put him over Johnson or Edmond.Nonetheless, his stats are still very impressive as he racked up the stats all season long.He was as consitent as they come but his only two formiadable opponents were also his two worst outings.Against Covina, he put up 17 rushing yards on 10 carries, 15 of those 17 yards came on one run.

4.Michael Harris RB-1299 Rush. Yds. 24 Rec. Yds. 20 TD's(19 Rush.)
Harris was huge for Chino Hills providing many fireworks for his squad.Against an immensley talented Mission Viejo squad, Harris was able to rush for 102 yards on only 13 carries punching in the Huskies only score of the game.He had a huge game against Glendora punching it in once on the ground while providing 148 rushing yards on 16 carries. After his terrific junior season, we can only expect to see more of this kid next season. He put the Sierra League on notice and showed his fiery passion and toughness by playing with an injury against Damien only to carry the rock 26 times picking up 147 grueling yards.

5.Travis Eschardies WR-1115 Rec. Yds. 50 Rush. Yds. 8 TD's(7 Rec.)
Travis had a great season helping to form the best QB-Wideout connection of any SGV team this season.Travis racked up huge recieving yards and did not fade down the stretch compiling four straight 100+ recieving performances to end his season including 169 huge yards against Chino Hills in the Sierra League championship. He was an instrumental special teamer as well for the Spartans racking up over 240 yards returning punts.Travis and senior quarterback, Mark Mendrun, really provided fireworks all season for Damien whose offense averaged nearly 30 points a game this season in route to a 9-4 record overall and a perfect 5-0 league record.

HONERABLE MENTION:
Nico Barbone RB(1330 Rush. 22 Rec. 12 TD's)
Trevon McNair RB(1168 Rush. 333 Rec. 17 TD's)
Jamal James WR(999 Rec. 75 Rush. 13 TD's)

CONGRATS TO EVERYONE ON A GREAT SEASON.THIS IS NOT THE VIEWS OF THE SGV,JUST A FAN WHO LOVES HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL.

Sorry R-E-S-P-E-C-T.

I saw Michael Johnson last night and he was a non factor all night on both sides of the ball from what I saw. You're probably right about his importance to the team in the playoffs but I saw him against Damien, Glendora and El Dorado and he is NOT the SGV MVP. Maybe not even the MVP of the Charter Oaks team. Bloggers have mentioned how MJ takes plays off and I agree he does. Maybe it's the uneven-ness of the squad but he's clearly a talented physical specimen I just think he might get fustrated out on the field and feels his "better days" are AHEAD of him. Kind of like seeing Randy Moss on the Raiders. Still he helped his team get to the finals and without him CO isn't there so that's something to be proud of.

Still not changing my Vote!...next!

1 thing I would like to tell all people inthe sgv perfectcatchfootball.com check it out and this guy trains on weekends speed and agility, combine and trains all year. Rex Foss been training with this guy since last January.
1250 yds receiving 4 picks some great punt returns and a heck of alot of tackles. this is great for all highschool kids next season starts now. Really good for kids going to college as well. Hope to see you all there. Guys name is Roger Huff.

Where is this so call PIZZA BLAST?

i dont know about back to backs for McD, and Aram said it himself back in the day with his thread about the SGV player of the year and his formula for picking the winner. he said it himself, we weighs heavily, and i repeat, HEAVILY on the playoffs and what one does in the playoffs. And if you factor that into the equation, i would say that Michael Johnson of CO should be the player of the year in the SGV. he had a very good pre season and league, but his playoff performances have been crazy. And if not for his heroics in the 1st round against la mirada, CO might not even be playing in the finals tonite, they could have been eliminated in week one. And last i checked, McD had 3 costly picks in the semi finals against Oak Park. So dont get mad at me covina fans, im just re-iterating what the big guy stated earlier. But ultimatley, it is his choice!
My vote, especialy if CO wons tonite, Michael Johnson from CO, and i aint even a CO fan, but im realistic.

Aram~

Great article on the Charter Oak "family" of coaches. Never knew they were that close...and that there are still solid friendships that transcend football egos and coaching fame. They are an example of men that love what they do and do it for the right reasons. Lou Farrar must be a great individual to foster that kind of love, decency and loyalty in his son and by extension his staff. All of them living either next door or around the corner from each other was awesome. What an inspirational story! Great job! Hope they bring home the trophy tonight!

As far as the "fitty sents" comment...I know you love RAP,(anyone better or sweeter sounding than Nate Dogg) but I don't know if you heard the Grammy's slammmed RAP with no major nominations for the first time in 6 years!!!....Could "DISCO" be making a come back?

As far as the Bloggers Pizza Blast any chance you could swing by and bring Reg?

One last thing... sorry to say that most bloggers left when their teams left...rank!... but Fred's bloggers have stood by and commented on the Championship games and playoff games even if their teams did not...I thought that was pretty cool. It's our love of the game and our kids that start us off blogging but really it's our respect for ALL SGV Football players that should keep us on here blogging!

Great job with the blog (warts and all!) Glad you supported McD when others pressured you to look at him thru jaded glasses. Didn't realize until recently that I knew McD back when he was in elementary school with my son. Man does time fly! He was just as competitive than as he is now. I smell Back To Back MVPs !
