Charter Oak's Jason David is in the Super Bowl ...

Who covered this guy in high school? Was it Gabe Lacques?

The Trib will have a feature on JD by Steve Ramirez later this week. Look for it!

I could not agree more with what has been said about Jason. As a young man he always had a smile on his face. He never complained and has a work ethic that should be an example to all players in the Valley. JD have a great game and enjoy the moment you deserve it. Good things come to good people and we are proud of you as a man and how you represent where you came from.

JD I only have 1 question for you.......

Are you ready for some FOOTBALL!!!!!!

"YOU BET"

I met Jason when he was at COHS but that is not why I am rooting for him. His mother was the night nurse at the place where my mother was spending the last months of her life in hospice care. Dawn is a truly wonderful woman. I know where Jason got his grounding. I don't care if the Colts win, I just want Jason to have a good game.

Jason David in the super bowl, WOW! It couldn't happen to a better person. He was an amazing player. The most memorable play was a pick vs LA when he bated their qb into throwing a double out. It was the first time "Big Lou" got a win at their place. His 200+ rushing game in the 98 finals wasn't half bad either.
I remember when he was being recuited. Wisconsin came in real hard along with a couple of other schools bigger than Wazoo. He told me he was going to enjoy the trips but he was sighning with Washington st. He said that they had been recuiting him for three years and he felt they had always really wanted him. 17yrs old and not influenced by the big time schools trying to sweep a recuit off his feet. He has always been well grounded.
JD is also a CO historian. He could tell you everything about the tailbacks that preceeded him ay CO. You see Jason David didn't grow up dreaming about playing in the superbowl. rather, Jason David grew up dreaming about playing Friday nights at Charger statium.
I can tell you JD is a fine individual from a good family. He never once behaved poorly even as the pressure of being a high school star was bearing down upon him. Humble and hard working is his style. That style has propelled him to a C.I.F championship (two appearances, a Rose Bowl, and now a Super Bowl. It coulden't have happened to a better person.

David gave Charter Oak some love earlier this season on Monday Night Football. Instead of announcing Washington State during his intro., he said

"Jason David...Charter Oak High School"

Go Jason and Go Colts!

Did anyone catch Jason David's interview on the hot list last thursday or friday on ESPNEWS? Even though i am a huge LA fan, you cannot help but root for this kid. he is the most gracious down to earth kid you can ever come across.

All the luck to him and the Colts.

And yes i think the colts win!

Colts 24

Bears 13

Also,

If for some reason any of you decide to start giving your Super Bowl picks, please don't bother unless you're including the pointspread. I don't want to hear that you like the Colts. Tell us something that matters, like whether they'll cover ... for informational purposes only, of course.
