its funny cuz now workman is starting to get looked upon as a violent school. yeah, last years game against la puente was cancelled because of gang violence, but not botween schools, it was something that went on in the neighborhood. a guy was killed a day or two before that game, so school officials cancelled the game in order to prevent anyone from the gang "puente" showing up. and yes, our player did elbow funez, but its all part of the game. basketball is a contact sport, and if you can't take a few blows here and there, especially as a post player, then hes in the wrong sport. theres nothing bad going on at workman, actually the school is turning around to be honest. it use to be filled with underachievers, and now we have our api scores rising up.

Both teams need to settle down and let it go. Very ugly behavior by both teams. If they can't let it go or apoligize to one another then CIF should suspend players and games from both programs just like the pros.

Since he is apparently the tribal expert here on the blog.....that was a trailer trash-klan remark if I ever heard one....I'm no saint, I admit I had some harsh words for the Rowland crew....but I never put it out there like that.....

if you say you were playing then it means your just trying to defend your teammate by making up bullshit of him saying that. not only that, another reason why your school has no class is because your asb president is bragging about this, shes even posting the video of the ending on youtube like its something to be proud of. brandon lee was not better then fransico ruiz, ruiz will light him up any day and make more tackles then him. remember the gladestone football team of 04? the one that their closest win in league came within 28 points to the other team? well no one could compete with them and their players still got nominations. mike harris did get punked, he kept yelling for the refs when he would get put on his ass. goldsmith did have better stats then silva, but silva was able to carry his team where he got them. not only that, remember it was goldsmith who was ejected from the game against workman for throwing a punch at a workman player. there you go, another incident. i rest my case, bring on all the excuses you want. cuz only losers make excuses.

I hear what you're saying. The "classless" remark is code for "high steppin brothers", sometimes it's coded as , a team having too much "speed". We all know it goes on. But I disagree that a Black man can not be a racist comment. I've spoken with Dr. Karenga on several occassions while in his class at CSULB. Our point of disagreement with this "blacks can not be racists" paradigm is it negates personal responsibility. If we are to be judged by our chararcter and not by the color of our skin then how is that absolve anyone from the merit or lack their of of their individual actions. But Dr. Karenga's point is deeper than that. He, if I may be so bold as to speak for him, alludes to the institutional force of institutional racism. On that we do agree. But on an individual front ..certainly blacks can be racists.

Professor Ahmen Rahh, also at CSULB, used to call that behavior "minstrelling", making an ass of yourself to bring attention to yourself. He never tolerated it in class and neither should anyone else. Maybe that's what's really going on...were you at the ALL STAR basketball game at Amat last year when a couple of Black players went "upside" Bonita's point guard on the "unofficial" last play of the game and almost started a brawl. The game ended on the spot! That was classless..all involved were black..even the "light skinned" brother from Bonita. And you KNOW what I'm talking about with that reference..they thought he was "soft". He wasn't. Remember the paper bag "test"?
