Bonita HS football player Kevin Normington was killed late last night in a traffic accident on Arrow Highway while driving home from his job at Warehouse Pizza near ULV. Kevin was a three-year starter on Bonita’s offensive line and a team captain.

“It’s a pretty sad day around here,” Bonita coach Eric Podley said. “I’ve been here 28 years and have never seen a campus go as quiet as is it did today. He was the kind of kid you want to bring back and have coach. The kids looked up to him. He was just a really good kid.”

I’m sure I speak for the entire Valley prep sports community in saying our thoughts, prayers and deepest condolences go out to the Normington family and the Bearcats family.
