He a boxer his job is to hype the fight up. From the very first time a ever did a boxing post i said that'"Mayweather does not sit in the middle and trade, he counter punches and jabs and moves and ducks punches". So what your saying to me if dlh throw 12 punches and lands 2 he should have won? That is his style that how he always fights. All day i have been waiting for this, dlh throw a lot a punches BUT THEY DID NOT LAND, I watched the fight this morning again on my dvr. Oscar has the ability to deal with alot of great styles...that's why former lightweight went up to fight Hopkins...pretty amazing don't you agree?

The one difference I see between PB and Mosley is Mosley can take a beating and a punch as well as knock your ass out with either hand and with a rain of punches to finish you off....Does PB have those skills? It is true Oscar has let some people down in some of his past fights and people have lost money on him and could not forgive him. Then when he was first brought on to the boxing scene and he bacame that superstar some Mexicans did not like him and bad mouth him saying he was not a true Mexican...Then when he destroyed their home town hero Chavez they really despised of him and jumped all over him. Vargas came out as the next rue Mexican and Oscar destroyed him. Some of those Mexicans have now switched sides and have come to like Oscar now and have given him the respect he deserves as a fighter as well as a individual who donates money back to help people. Oscar has come along way. His fight with Trinidad ended in controversy and most thought Oscar won that fight but Don King was involved and Boxing was at a all time high in fixing fights back then. The Hopkins fight was a huge mistake for Oscar and he deserved to get beat trying to step up to that level and fight the big boys. Mosley fights were close but shane has his number and styles make fights. shane style was perfect for Oscar and I can see allot of Shane in Floyd Quick hands fast reactions but Shane will stand there and fight in which he did with Oscar and those results favored him...In Pretty Boys case he may use Shanes approach and steal this fight on flash and quickness but if it turns into a powers hitter fight Oscar KO's him and fast...I see Arams points Oscar could come out flat and not attack and let Floyd have his way of showboating the fight to the end and Oscar fans will be dissappointed once again. I am looking for the opposite of Oscar and he comes out and fights the fight with no hesitation and brings the fight to Floyd.Oscar a 2-1 underdog, could Vegas be right about Floyd and this in non contest? but could vegas be sucking in the Floyd bettors and make this a beautiful Cinco for Oscar bettors.

Hopkins hadn't been beat in 10 years...destroyed everyone but Taylor..then Hopkins moves up in weight and wins the Championship at Light Heavy. So essentially Oscar was in with a "all time" Middle weight Champion and got caught ...just like Virgil Hill got caught by future steriod nut James Toney. That was a perfect shot. It caught Oscar and he was out. Could he have gotten up? Get serious. Has anyone? From a shot on the button to the liver...NO!

Loses to Mosley....didn't run. Just got beat on points and flash. But he fought hard.

In the 11th and 12th Oscar fought Quartey when he was behind, getting knocked down is part of fighting, against Vargas Oscar went "school yard bully beat down" and against Chavez...well that beating no matter how old Chavez was was vicious and never happened again to Chavez. Give credit where credit is due. Oscar has jumped 4 weights and still only fights big fights. Oscar is coming into this fight in the best shape a boxer can come into a fight. His traning as you can see is being taken very serious unlike Floyd's. Their is desire in Oscars approach and it is his title he will be defending so you have to come and beat the champion and that is not going to happen, not at 154 pounds. He never beat Mosley. Quartey knocked DLH down and had that fight won until the 11th and 12th. Camacho? Please. Chavez was way over the hill. Vargas was impressive, so was Mayorga, but both guys were tailor made for DLH.

He wasn't a fighter against Trinidad. He wasn't a fighter against Mosley in any of the fights. DLH actually knew he had to attack Sugar Shane, but preferred to try and box a boxer. I won't even bring up Hopkins. He got planted in that one. My point is he's never brawled when he's needed to just simply brawl. He's fought faster fighters who he could've hurt, but he preferred to take his chances on the cards. It's a dumb idea against Pretty Boy Thug. Maybe everyone of those fighters had a disadvantage with age, style, size whatever...but the beatings he's delivered to fighters is very impressive. Even in the lose to Mosley in the first fight it was toe to toe action and was closer than you'd think. Anyone remember Vargas on the ropes, Chavez bleeding and beaten, Hernadez out! and the destruction of a very solid and courageous Ruelas, or Quartey in the corner beaten into submission?

DLH is a great great fighter because he has fought big fights for more than 10 years at various weights and still he fights well..even in defeat. Add the comglomerate that he's become and the family life he's secured and DLH might be the greatest "Fighter" of all time ..if making money, generating interest, and delivering in big fights is your yardstick! DLH has made millions for the sport, millions for his opponents, and millions for himself and now is ready to "own" the whole enchilada when Aram and King pass on...THAT'S GOING THE DISTANCE!!!!!And that's not even mentioning his HBO Latino boxing contract, his partnership with Hopkins, Mosley abnd Barrera ect. to promote and support young boxing talent. Or his outstanding community service and hospital wing in Boyle Heights. Oscar De La Hoya is a great individual and I hope he goes out in style.

DLH will not chase PB. No point in doing that. You kill flies when they land...it's easier. Next DLH will surprise PB with his foot speed and agressiveness coming in and rushing him into corners without throwing punches. Throwing puches coming in creates "outs" for PB to hit on the move and fustrate DLH. When he bodies PB and gets "BIG" in the corners, DLH will make him pay and hurt him. This will not slow down PB but make him run backwards and lean back to roll wiith puches--that's when PB taste the famous DLH double left hook. Twicce to the body, up stairs down stairs and then the finish of twice up stairs and then it's Buenas Noches Muchaco Feo!

DLH still has KO power and PB never has. If PB decides to stay in the middle and box DLH well then it becomes a good fight and good fights go to the smarter fighter....is PB smarter because no one at his weight can handle his speed? Ask Mosley is that's true. He had foot and hand speed over Forrest but a good jab slows down speed...and power. All Mayweather can do is run, if he wants to change it up with Oscar, its curtains for him. He's moving up in weight, way too much power for him. He hasn't been hit like Oscar can hit.
