First Tribune boys All-Star practice tonight at Damien ...

Back in the day wasn't this the game that was sponsored by Muir HS and was played in Pasadena and had a shooting at PCC? It was cancelled the next year. Who sponsored it and how did it end up at APU?

The boys game will be around 8. There's a dunk contest right before it, which CJ will be a part of. We're happy CJ is a part of the team. There were some other guys too, who could've gone and played with their club teams. I think they'll have more fun at this game given how many people will be there. The girls game is around 5:30/6. The cost is $8. The proceeds go to charity. It should be fun.

Aram- I can't wait to see the game. I always supported the SGV team, but now I finally have someone in the game. CJ Griffin from Los Altos is my son and he had a tough choice to make, because this weekend he was to be in Vegas playing with his traveling team, but this is special to him, something he has waited for and is proud to be a part of the All Star Team. See ya Saturday. BTW what time and how much does it cost this year?

After seeing P-Chase from Rowland on the basketball court it's tough to believe he wasn't 1st Team...what a great leader...okay maybe a little loud but hey it was all in good fun. And they're going to do it again Thursday!

Jon Joe was as always a pleasure to watch. What a great individual. Surprised Glendora's Gordien wasn't on the court. Who was the kid that won the three point contest...that kid can play! Great release and really knew what to do to put points on the board.

Hope you keep that note for 4 years....that would make a great story...if it all came true. The long haired kid is my son and the other kid is also on the 13U Basketball team I coach. Both love the game, know the game, have mature fundamental "game" and burn with a genuine love for "team" basketball.

But this is pretty funny...I invite my team to go see the All Stars practice and what do these 2 boys do the whole time....play 1-on-1 the whole practice...I doubt they saw more then 15 minutes total....and that's the way it should be.
