Amat and Charter Oak championship game bound!!!

I'd call this a fitting place to play a championship game.
Bases
Charter Oak 5, Torrance 1 (Playoffs: CO 45 runs, Opponents 9)
Amat 4, Temple City 1 (The Amat vs. Monrovia matchup is now reality.)
Santa Monica 5, Northview 4 (Horrendously tough loss for the Vikes. They led 4-1 entering the seventh, but had some problems and fell apart. No shame, though. Thanks go out to this team for an absolutely thrilling postseason.)
Female bases
Charter Oak and San Dimas. Congrats to both teams for two unexpectedly awesome runs.

and when did you say the All Area Team for Baseball was coming out? and Coach of the year????
I agree with Murphy getting Coach of the Year, but it won't happen. Aram doesn't know the game well enough to understand what Murphy did with Northview and how it was so damn impressive. You go from a 20 win season with all those seniors last year and to win 23 more with all new players and no returning pitchers. Hands down, I sent my kid to NV and would send another if I had another boy to go play there. It's the best program from top to bottom as far as getting the kids prepared to play the game. Congratulations to you and the team Coach. Those who know the game know what you did and do with the boys. Proud to be a Viking and always will Lean Like a Viking!!!
To status quo sucks,
thanks for the props I'm not really fat those are just lose muscles. By the way those aren't Oakley's they are $279 Revo-P's. Apologies for my actions at that game, after thinking about it on that long ride home, I believe I was over the top. Rest assured I will be seeking professional help soon. Sorry that ugly monster reared his head, but with any luck and a good shrink hopefully will never see him again . Next time we meet, hopefully it will be at a NV fund raiseing BBQ, and you can enjoy some of my world class Tri-Tip. For my wife she is very lucky and very hot and very happy. Till next season, nothing but love for NV baseball.
P.S. Murphy/Quinley Co-Coaches of the year!
Amat is not SGV, just a bunch of mercenaries from all over, they come to LP hoping that the school will take their little league allstar boy to the majors.
you live in the past when the your boys were better athletes the girls at your school.
Amat is the best thing next to slided bread in the SGV. If you beg to differ, come and see our hall of fame baby. Can anyone argue with that notion?
Oh BTW the marine corp is looking for a few good men.
"I got something for you to choke on"
Bluorca...high school is over. Grow up.
I GOT SOMETHING ELSE FOR YOU TO CHOKE ON....
...your tootbrush...if you brush your tongue too deeply...i hate that.
*gags but gags with minty fresh breath*
Let's have a WEEK when Bluorca and Co. refrain from telling everyone how much better they are than everyone else, how difficult their schedule is and finally how they are the only SGV representative holding down the SGV Honor float.
I've said it before and I'll say it again....are there any dignified Amat bloggers out there that just want to choke the life out of these Amat thugs?
Is it any wonder all the best players are leaving or getting into trouble?
STOP BRAGGING IT'S SICKENING!!!
CIF did you guys a FAVOR putting you in DIV 5...LA PUENTE was your first round win! Get over yourselves. If not for your outstanding girls basketyball team you'd be PIUS X in 5 years. OH wait they CLOSED PIUS X didn't they?
NueroticVfan
That's funny...Damn if you win, Damn if you lose...we can deal with that. But what's even more funnier is that you are neither going to Dodger Stadium nor Riverside to embarrass your team with your ranting and raving...seems to me you can't deal with reality. Get over it, you choke as a fan (I give my respect to NV baseball) but worse you choke as a miserable human being.
Get a life and quit embarrassing yourself and your kid.
AMAT FAN, dont worry i will save the rope for your trip back from Riverside, since you weren't good enough to play at Dodger stadium. If by any chance you do win, don't worry because no one will respect your trophy. But if you lose you will be the joke of the century (pressure?) Really this is depressing for you guys, no win situation even for the mercenaries.
NV fan,
"don't expect me to say "Good job Billie wait till next year" What a cope out that is, screw next year, i feel the rope on my neck today can you relieve my pain. MV fan
Do us all a favor...put that rope around your neck and jump you friggin lousy scumbag fan that you are.
Amat Fan
NVFAN,
You continue to separate yourself further and further from true NV fans. First, you belittle and obnoxiously go after NV's opponents during the season and now you are questioning a coach about bunting too much. Once again, it was 4-1 in the 7th inning and they didn't make plays to seal the deal. I really enjoyed watching this team this year, but it wasn't a power hitting team by any stretch. I used to coach years ago and I liked the way they play ball-did anything they can to get runs across. They didn't hit more than 2 or 3 homers all year I believe ( I could be wrong-father of kid said this). What big inning were you looking for? It just didn't happen. I don't recall Pedroza having two doubles before the at bat he attempted to bunt, so he wasn't on fire after one at bat was he? Looking at the Tribune article again, it says he was 3 for 3. Where did his bunt kill a rally? It's unfortunate that you have showed your true colors now with questioning the coach and the team under trying conditions saying that his bunts allowed the other team to come back. Can we all say one big "Get a clue". The NV team had an awesome season, it wasn't one person (player, coach, fan etc...) that lost the game. That team won a ton of games this year and they lost that game as a team as well. I wish NVFAN followed the team concept. It's hard, we all wanted to be at the stadium today, but it's senseless to blame anyone. Who you throwing next under the bus?
Amat, Los Altos, Northview, Charter Oak fans. I have one thing to say to you all:
Can't we just get along?
Ya'll are missing the main point here...
It's not that we at Amat do not appreciate a championship no matter what division. Los Altos and South Hills do have A LOT to be proud of with all of their championship banners.
The beef we have is with some fans, mostly Los Altos fans, that claim that Los Altos could compete and be successfull in a Pac-5 league or that Los Altos could do just as well if not better than Amat if they had a schedule like Amat.
Amat schedules or has to play some of the top football programs in Southern California EVERY SINGLE YEAR and they have been doing this since the school was created. It's been well over 20 YEARS since LA has scheduled ANY top football program from DIV 1 or PAC-5....
So yeah, it's not that we belittle any championship banner. But it does chap my hide and many an Amat fan when a LA fan claims that they could tango on an annual basis with the BIG BOYS because of their numerous lower division championship banners...Of course, these fans probably have never seen what awesome machines the top Pac-5 teams create year after year.
So yeah, LA fans should be proud of their every single one of those championship banners...To be proud is one thing...BUT to claim that LA could do just as well as Amat in the PAC-5 or with Amat's schedule is just plain ignorant. Ignorance is forgivable though.
This concludes our beef....ty.
We'regoingtoDodgerStadium
Wow, I guess they skipped education!
Apparently, we teach baseball!!!!!!!!!!!
We'regoingtoDodgersStadium at June 1, 2007
Wow, again you come back with nothing! Doesn't CO teach anything over there?
NEXT?
Aram, any final predictions as we come closer to game time?
Max Mercy, so you ask do i know anything about baseball, and you give me examples of little ball winners. So are you ready for a baseball lesson?
Little ball has a place in the game, just like power, everyone has a role in a team. There is a place and time for both. So the good coaches understand that balance is what wins championships. For example Pedrosa had two doubles in the game, clearly he had a hot bat, the SM pitchers were not dominant, you have a lead, still early in the game. Coach had his hottest hitter bunt, this is called a rally killer. A coach who plays for one run will always keep the other team in the game which in turn allowed them to come back. If same situation is late in the game and is a close game then i would agree on this bunt. When you have pitcher by the ropes you don't save him by giving up outs with bunts, you go for the knock out punch. Bunts are have a purpose for the most part they are sacrifice and outs, outs are precious becarefull how you use them, Balance is the key.
Truth still hurts,
No, actually it was the person who taught you how to spell. See you at the game, loser!!!!!!
We'regoingtoDodgersStadium at May 31, 2007
Wow, want a come back. Did your coach teach you that!
NVFan, Do u know anything about baseball? Success is not obtained by waiting for the three-run bomb. Nieto, and to an extent, Murphy, play small ball because it's what wins. Augie Garrido is one of the most-succesful coaches in college baseball history with several hundred wins and five national titles (the most among active coaches), and his forte has always been to play little ball. Small ball is what wins.
Truth is I don't really give a crap if Amat played in DI or DX. The bottom line is at what level can they compete and be successful and bring positive attention and possibly future recruits to their school. Look at Crespi, Orange Lutheran and St Bonnie. They all competed very successfully at DX and when they brought attention and new talent to their school...they were moved to DI? Winning a possible CIF crown in DV for Amat's baseball team can only be a positve thing for their school. Maybe their football team should take note of this.
Hey, Truth Hurts.
I think everyone knows the real truth about you...a loser!
C-Oak realist at May 31, 2007
I think everyone knows the real truth about this coach. Win at any cost, cut and run!
Just woke up, drank a six pack, maybe 2, 3,4,5. The bitter taste of those malt beers are still hanging over my saliva, the salty sweat from the SM beach is hanging all over my skin, oh what an agony! What a choke! Oh yes, what a choke, guys i always tell it like it is, don't expect me to say "Good job Billie wait till next year" What a cope out that is, screw next year, i feel the rope on my neck today can you relieve my pain.
Hey Murphy, you got to make adjustments man, they kept pitching outside and no one hits the ball to the right side, someone mentioned way too many bunts, Amen.
Bishop who? Eddie is going to slams his fastball through little ball Nieto. What a great story that would be, little Eddie beating down the wannabe Div 1 school and all their mercenaries paying money to play sports. yeah don't give me that crap about education, you go to Bishop to play with the little ball because your son was an allstar in little league. If you win it remember that Div 5 champs have to drive to Riverside because you aint good enough to play at Dodger stadium, good night
Amat I don't get it are Los Altos Football "lower Division" Championships "worthless" or worth "less" but your "lower Division" Baseball championship worth "more" because:
1) It's a different "sport"?
2) It's not "your" fault you're there?
You guys can not have it both ways can you?
Amat's Division 5 Championship is worth "less" than if they "earned" it against Division I or II teams. Be honest. Don't spin it any other way. You look ridiuculous trying to justify the "pressure" of winning. No slight against the kids all are fantastic players but Bishop Amat players didn't go to Amat to play against La Puente, Montclair Prep, Montebello and Co. in Div. 5? Don't believe it? Would Bishop Amat really jump for joy beating Verbum Dei for their "lower level Championship? How about St. Margaret's?
God I hope you guys win. Imagine if you don't.
I mean La Puente in the first round? I hear St. John the Baptist is looking for a game. What's next TEE BALL CHAMPIONSHIP BANNERS !
The only thing thats weird is you....
Oh Ya...Your nuts also...
AnyMouse...
Will someone get off D. Nichols nuts? No jab at Nichols, but I think Northview and Charter Oak have been winning quite a bit the last few years. This isn't a one year thing with these programs. Let's leave it like it is...Both teams have had great years and I'm sure Q would give the guy credit, but this is becoming a little wierd that an assistant coach is being talked about so much.
My god, do the arm chair f'n quarterbacks come out after a loss. Northview has a special group of kids, but where they show their youth is at the plate. They clutched up huge in the playoffs with walkoff hrs, but that only happened because of how good their pitching is and has been all year. Their pitching allowed the score to stay close enough for a walkoff possibility. They have to manufacture runs with that many young kids (look at their scores all year-low scoring). That's why they bunt and play smallball. You have 9 kids or something on your team that are sophomores or freshman, you go 23-6 and have a 4-1 lead in the 7th in the semis and people question that you bunt. If they execute in the 7th defensively, they're at Dodger Stadium. Would you be posting something about bunting too much than too?
bluemoon:
pull your head out. Eusebio and Olivares are both true seniors and were not held back at all. Quit complaining. I thought the Northview/Amat comparisons were bad, but now Charter Oak? Come on. Charter Oak is a joke. Amat kills you guys in football and im sure they would be glad to dominate you in baseball as well.
Here's a fanatsy blog.....
"Coach Tom I was one of those idiot parents that slammed you but even I must admit you've given me and my son meemories to last us a lifetime. It is with a little shame and alot of regret that I take responsiblity for my hurtful and tactless comments. You are truely a mentor and friend to our boys. The greatest thrill we will share is seeing our team take the field at Dodger Stadium.
If there is a lesson to be learned, so others won't make the same mistake, is to admit when we are wrong. Maybe those latenight windsprints galvanized the T.E.A.M. No one is perfect, and neither am I...Thank you Coach Tom and Staff. Co Chargers!"
NAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! It'll never happen.lol
Coach Question,
They probably dont know the majority of the coaching staffs, just the head coach...
My thoughts were to extend the props to include the other guys on the staff, they obviously contributed to the head coaches success...
Just seems fair to me...
AnyMouse...
Now we know why you are bluemoon . Your head is so far up your a_ _ you will never see the light of day. You should change you post from bluemoon to up the moon.
LET THIS BE A LESSON LEARNED for all of us. These kids don't pick witch divison they play in let alone who they play. They all play for one common goal. A CIF Championship. Most of these div. comments come from smack of schools not playing in the Pac 5 in football. And now the shoe is on the other foot.
Great run NV and all other schools making a playoff run.
Let's be proud of all these athlete's. Let's all pull for CO and Bisop Amat. Bring it home boys.
GOOD LUCK.
Well you take those two pitchers Amat has Eseubio and Olivares and you can see they have held them back a grade....that one year makes a big differance......CO players are in their right projected grades....this is where it is not right holding kids back in school to get that extra year of maturity so they can dominate a HS game.......
Joe Amat
Why did CIF lower Amat to D5 this year?
What was the thinking here?
Don't take anything away from either team. The Amat and CO kids have worked hard to get to where they are. It's too bad people want to taint things by sweating what divisions they're in.
Aram,
No matter who you pick as the "SGV Tribune Baseball Coach of the Year" Have you ever considered changing it to "SGV Tribune Baseball Coaching Staff of the Year"?
Makes sense since the Head Coach picks the staff that works under him and without a good supporting cast the top coach each year would
most likely not be in the running at all...
I would like to get your take on this?
AnyMouse...
bluemoon,
There have been some really talented teams all over the course of sports history (think Dallas Mavericks/Golden State Warriors) that have screwed up their position and have been upset or have NOT won a championship. Some of those at the hands of amat.(Mater Dei/Loyola football a couple of years ago, Long Beach Poly girls basketball this year, Artesia boys basketball a few years back to name a few)
Working your butt off every day with a bunch of teammates towards a common goal is the same feeling whether it is DI or DV and someone said a few days ago that the "thrill of victory" is the same at all levels. Sometimes when you are the favorite the feeling is closer to relief than thrill, but either way it is an accomplishment.
Would I rather test it against the best - without a doubt. But it is innacurate, at the very least, to say,
"... CO and Northview had to battle their way thru some tough teams ..."
Northview already lost to amat, so that debate has been put to bed. amat just knocked off Temple City, the same TC that shut out South Hills. SH probably thought that they were pretty tough. amat beat Glendora and CO probably thought GHS was decent after they beat the Chargers. CO was shut out by West Covina who was swept by Notre Dame Sherman Oaks. NDSO got beat by amat's previous playoff opponnent - Montclair Prep. Now the lancers face the same Monrovia team that already shut out Charter Oak, so I'm certain that they will be tough.
Getting thru a playoff bracket is a feat - regardless of who you play. Congrats to Charter Oak and amat - and good luck to both!
bluemoon,
Not that winning makes out to what we used to be. We will always be who we are and WE ARE AMAT.There seems to be little sour taste in your blog. It must be from all the crow you ate a couple football seasons ago when we showed you what being big blue is all about.
Agree with some other posters. Having Derek Nichols on your staff is a huge plus. He is by far the greatest coach I have ever seen on the field and Ive seen good coaches over the past 20 years.
Amat 73,
Not all I bet in Lancertown think like you and I know you will take a lower Div. championship just to make Amat out to what it used to be.that was a made for you championship this season..but the real blue is playing in Dodger Stadium and that is the CO Blue!....
bluemoon,
How can you say it is not that great of an accomplishment by going to the finals. Just because CIF dropped us to a lower division do not belittle our boys for what they accomplished . Can you imagine the pressure that was on them to breeze thru the tournament as you stated. If we would have lost what do think the blogs would have been like then . My hats off to these guys for a great season and if we win the final we will be damn proud to hang the banner in LANCERLAND .
I am glad for the Amat team getting there and it is all fine and dandy but I dont think their Alumni will be happy hanging a Div. 5 baseball championship banner on their wall with all that history of playing the upper divisions in the schools sports history...It is a crock because this Amat team breezed easily thru this tournament. CIF put them there I know and it wont be long before the football program takes the same route. CO and Northview had to battle their way thru some tough teams where as Amat toyed their way thru this lower Divsion...I really dont think it is that great of accomplishment not to mention they are not playing in Dodger Stadium where the big boys play...man Amat not in the big boy category anymore? what the hells is happening over there in Lancer Nation.
After it is all settled a game between Amat and CO for SGV intrest would be a good matchup...play it at Mt.Sac.
AnyMouse at May 29, 2007
Winning High School baseball games DOESN'T excuse the behavior from a coach!
Hey where is NVfan? I would appreciate one of his nonsensical ramblings right about now.
I'll say it, and I mean it.......congrats to Amat and CO for plowing through the playoffs and getting to the finals.....my hat is off to them both & I do hope they kick a$$ this weekend...so i can hate them both even more :)
Good luck guys!
Aram,
1 PLAYOFF GAME:Charter oak 4,Covina 2.
It doesnt matter the other games, you said that CO "destroyed us".4-2 is destroyed? With all of the last inning heroics this year,i.e NV Sa.Monica,Bonita NV,NV Palm desert you really think the game wasn't close? With no outs in the top of seventh, first two runners on the batter hits the ball hard to the hole,1b gets glove on it,bounces to second baseman who gets the out at first, one of the key plays of the game.Good defense and a little luck go a long way. If that ball goes through we have a much different game.In your article you said "the scoring chances were FEW and far between",what is it destroyed or few scoring chances?Cant blame the headline writer for that one.And are you saying that you disagree with the person who wrote the headline? He was right Aram,it could also have said Charter Oak holds off Covina. But destroyed?Man what a slap in the face, way to pour salt in the wounds.Tyler pitched good too,he was not destroyed. The only team to do that to us is SD twice. And you dont need to apologize, you must be the only person who watched that game that didnt think it was close until the end.We hit the ball hard the whole game and luck was not on our side.Congrats CO on the victory, good luck at Dodger Stadium.
Who cares if it's division V. It will be the Pasadena star News player of the year against the SGV tribune player of the year. Mckiernan against Olivares. What a dream matchup. Their last game before going off to UNLV and UC-Irvine. May the best TEAM win.
This thread is not about Henley, so get over it!
Hey NVFan,
how bout' them apples?
Sincerely,
Charter Oak and Amat fan
Yeah, I believe that lady was right about there not be a change at Glendora in their baseball program. Jacobsen and Leduc don't have the stones to make a change despite everyone, including assistant coaches wanting a change at the top. Its an old boys club at Glendora and anyone who knows Glendora knows that no one even sneazes at Glendora without Leduc's approval. If someone cares about the program, they'll make a change, but don't hold your breath because Henley is good at stong arming people who don't agree with him. There is no comprimise with this guy and yet, his way is 14-33-1 over the past three years in league. Great road to follow the little guy on!
Major props to that fat guy sitting under the umbrealla at the Northview game, sporting the 1980's oakley blade glasses. Yeah dude...you can sort of excuse the Northview rooting section for being obnoxious, but that was priceless how you felt you had to make a smart ass comment on every pitch. I think one thing EVERY adult agrees with is that no adult should rip into a kid and you felt the need to do that. The best part was how after being silent the entire game, Santa Monica erupted and you guys had the nerve to say "win with class." You couldn't have had less class and I am sure your wife of 17 years as you boasted about and your three kids were proud of you. Put down the cerveza and cheer for your kids. That must have been a bitter "long drive home" as you were saying to most of us about why the game should end soon. We're moving forward to Dodger Stadium after we go surfing. What are you doing?
LATE
I wasnt at the NV game and cant say but I do know that having Derek Nichols on your staff is a huge plus...
AnyMouse...
Anymouse Maybe if Murphy would promoted Nichols he would won today's game, instead he bunts himself out big innings. The man has a good offensive team but does not let them loose when they have the pitcher by the ropes. Is like telling Tyson keep jabbing when when the boxer is trying to stay up.
Hands down the coach of the year is Coach Q...
Stronger Division, Tougher Competition and not to take anything away from the other SGV teams but Charter Oak has controlled every CIF playoff game they have been in from the outset...
Lets not forget that Coach Q has some serious help on the field with Derek Nichols and Chuck Tiffany out there, these two guys could each manage any high school baseball team and be more than successful...
Coach Q has these two guys on his staff and should be applauded for that alone, not an easy feat to put that much coaching talent together I am sure...
For those that doubt this keep in mind that Northviews Varsity team had 8 or so sophmores on it this year and made a spectacular run, guess who managed the Freshman team at Northview last year...Hmmm...Derek Nichols from Charter Oaks coaching staff...
In fact Aram should not only have coach Q as the SGV tribune coach of the year but all three of the above mentioned gentlemen as the SGV tribune coaching staff of the year...
All animosity aside I believe it would be appropriate...
Oh and by the way, I am from CHS...Not CO and have no affiliation with the CO program, but facts are facts...
AnyMouse...
Aram
Is there a East COY and West COY?
If not, and Monrovia wins, hands down Moore, with two back to backs!
Ok, Aram so assuming both local teams win who is going to be Coach of the year Nieto or Tom Q.
Are you going to interview Tom?
Anonymous at May 29, 2007
Same old crap from an Amat fan!
D5... Give me a break!
PLAYOFFS: Charter Oak 45, Opponents 9.
Covina played CO the closest anybody has in the postseason ... but Covina was down 4-1 and never led in the game. Charter Oak completely controlled that game. I didn't see it as close and I don't write the headlines. Here's your apology: Sorry, but you get no apology.
Hey Aram
You can't say that CO has "destroyed" everyone, the covina game was close until the final out.In your own article about the game the headline read "charter oak NIPS covina".What gives? Did they destroy us or nip us?When the game ended the tying run was at the plate and a runner on third. That was a well contested, well played game by both teams. Many good defensive plays by both teams and on this day CO prevailed four to two. That is not being destroyed. You owe Covina an apology for a game effort.Far better than any other opponent they,(CO) have faced in the CIF playoffs.
Thats true Aram. However a lot of us figured that the dominating CO team of two years ago was unbeatable and you know what happaned. You just never know, but it should be a great game and hopefully CO wins it for the valley.
Thats true Aram. However a lot of us figured that the dominating CO team of two years ago was unbeatable and you know what happaned. You just never know, but it should be a great game and hopefully CO wins it for the valley.
2 cents:
once again whenever you gets get proved wrong you guys go back to crying about the division Amat is in. Stop crying and worry about your own team. As it turns out you guys got enough problems.
CO has destroyed everyone its played thus far, why would Santa Monica be any different? CO vs. NView would've been a great game. You'd have to think that CO is a big favorite on Friday. NView had Santa Monica dead in the water before a fluky comeback. I know that Quinley really wants this after what happened in Anaheim a few years ago.
By that question, I meant the CO game.
Aram, I know its a little early for this question, but what do you think of the matchup going into this game? I assume you will be there. Just wondering.
Maybe Amat's football team would be going to the finals too if they dropped down a few divisions
Congrats to both Amat and Charteroak on great seasons. But after todays game, all i have is one question. How can a team such as Northview who blows a 4-1 lead going into the final inning in perhaps their biggest game of the season be compared to a team like Amat? Hopefully this silences all the weak comparisons.
Congratulations to Charter Oak for winning and moving on to the final game at Dodger Stadium. Coach Q has brought this team together at just the right time. The bats are Hot! The defense is flawless and the pitching is lights out! May all your dreams come true when you take the field at Dodger Stadium. Good Luck to all the boys, you deserve it!!!
All the schools that need to change their coaches, SH, Damien, Glendora should call Tom Q. from CO and pay him more money. I do remember all those parents who kept bashing him, can you guys please come out, i want to hear what do you have to say now. Where is the idiot who kept asking for the stats to be posted in MaxPreps?
Maybe if you have a grain of intelligence will you understand how overarrated stats are, buy i doubt it you will ever get the point.
NV should have won this this game, Robert threw i believe a two hitter through the seveth, two errors on the seven followed by a walk opened the floodgate. NV had a lot of scoring opportunities they did not capitalize. Too many bunts.
I feel sorry for my Vikings but i wish to congratulate my friends at Charter Oak. Playing on the field of Dodger Stadium will be an experience they will never forgot. Hopefully the real Los Angeles stadium will be kinder to CO then that fake LA teams' stadium was two years ago
WE NEED MORE INFO AS SOON AS YOU CAN POST IT ,TICKETS ,GAME TIMES, ETC ETC,WE ALL NEED TO GO ,I KNOW I WILL BE THERE.
Steve,
The SGV has always been strong in baseball, especially the Covina area. I'd say baseball and football both represent the SGV because there are multiple good programs. I'd still lean more toward football. You have to remember that all of our baseball teams last year were out by the second round, most of them done in the first. This year has been great, though. Hopefully we'll have two division champs this weekend.
hey aram, do u think baseball is the sport that represents the sgv?
theres alot of really good teams here
covina, charter oak, nview, amat, etc
CONGRATS to Charter Oak and to Bishop Amat
Good luck in the finals. Make the SGV proud.
