I don't have to understand it. It was boring and De la Hoya was the only one willing to pursue a fight. MayFeather earned his biggest pay day because of de La Hoya. His next fight will be peanuts. Every piece of information that I have been reading is similiar. Mayfeather one shot and run. This is why that 18-35 male demographic is turning to MMA. More action and knockouts. The casual fan wants to see someone knocked out. And the casual is the majority.

I dont know what fight some of you were watching...but Floyd tossed something like 480 punchs and landed 47% of them...DLH tossed something like 580 punchs and landed about 27% if them...that is far from doing nothing in a fight, you dont win fights by landing 27% of your punchs...and there was an even bigger gap in the power punches...whenever the two stood in the middle of the ring Floyd was allways first to through a punch and Oscar had now answer..when Floyd was on the ropes DLH was missing...

Boxing is on its last limb. UFC is taking over in a big way and is much more exciting. The bottom line is the younger generation is much more into the MMA scene and rightfully so. If judge ross scores the 12 round for oscar, just like the other two judges did, the fight would have been a draw. Mayweather wearing the Mexican colors was great. He wants to be Mexican because he doesn't like being an African-American.

Even an old and rusty Oscar is a point or two short of Pretty Boy. Oscar's left jab was the best punches of the night. Why he didn't keep PB on th outside and then punish him when PB went defensive is more to Oscar's age and rust than PB talent...although PB does have much. Yet PB isn't even half of Pernell ...even though boxing screwed Sweet Pea by not giving him the decision against Oscar.

Too bad. I think Oscar knocks PB out five years ago and I still think he might if they fight again within 6 months. The openings were there but Oscar was just short tonight.

OK, first of all, those of you complaining about the price of the fight should stop. It was worth it just to see Pretty Boy Thug come out in Mexican attire. That was unreal - "Mayweather loves Mexico" or whatever it said. I'd like to know what Mexicans thought of that. Was anybody offended ... was he mocking you all ... or was it a nice gesture?

Secondly, I had it 115-113 Mayweather. I believe Oscar wins if he doesn't take off both the ninth and 10th rounds. I believe this entire fight was yet another choke for Oscar. He had the crowd, the gloves, the ring, the weight and one judge in his back pocket. Yet still no cigar.

Third and last, I miss the 80s when these types of fights produced actual fights. Lightweights, welterweights or middleweights actually threw down - Leonard/Hearns, Prior/Arguello, Hearns/Hagler. It was actually a fight. Neither fighter tonight got marked up, let alone wobbled. They both made millions and will wake up tomorrow feeling nothing, just like the rest of us.

The fight will be close rest assure of that. Altho Vegas has him favorite it is gambling and upsets happen all the time. Anywhere else but in Vegas, well you know what goes on there. I bet Trinidad over DLH and after the fight I was sure I lost and held onto my ticket anyway..believe me I was about to toss it thinking I lost...When they called Trinidad the winner that nite I did win money but I knew lots of people got ripped off. I saw the fight and was there. Trust me Las Vegas does some weird things when it come to championship fights.

first Maywhaeter is a boxer, he does not have to give anything back. Maybe he does he just dont need the spotlight. second, he is the champion until somebody beats him. Last whatever he does in his house i could care less about. You dont understand these two guys are just athlete. Thousand of people make mistakes everyday. what do you call the delahoya east los angeles boxing gym, and the fighters he promotes. He's given back in dollars more than any fighter today! Is he supposed to live in East Los all his life?
