football teams example: Youth Programs that High Schools are involved in : Charter Oak Chargers JAA > Charter Oak High School , Covina Vikings JAA> Covina High School , East LA Bobcats JAA >Cantwell High School , West Covina Bruins JAA > South Hills School } Bishop Amat Lancers ARE NOT involved in any youth programs and they should be involved w/ there surrounding cities like La Puente Warriors or West Covina Bruins now this leads me to my next point. When Hell week starts
at Bishop they will lose 10 to 12 kids because they will be transfering out to South Hills,Charter Oak,Covina , Cantwell , Los altos
You would think someone at Bishop would ask themselves why our all these players leaving after they alreay paid for Summer Program $250.00
Registration for 2007 $300.00 1st payment(July) for Tution $520.00 .2nd payment ( Aug.) for Tution 520.00 Sponser form $180.00. The point of the matter is there is MAJOR problem at Bishop and its not Local Coaches Recruiting practices I hope we can all agree with that . I strongly say this if parents and players are happy with Bishop NO Coach could have stole any player out of Bishop I hope we can agree with that statment too . Its late now this I will have a web site in place next week addressing the conduct of players and staff at Bishop . Hard to believe Gano, with all his "recruiting" experience, would allow himself to be scrutinized by leaving tracks.

Word has it that Junior Tamayo was contacted directly by coach Gano and there was talk between the two before Junior Tranferred over from Amat...when Junior left the first time and then went back to Amat and tried out for WR the talks were going on and then Junior Bolted back to LA after he was told he would get the QB position.

CIF is coming after you Gano and Bogan. it is just a matter of time. It is a female in charge of this investigation and she is a real Pistol.

if "Gano's Recruiting Inc" son is a bench warmer at Amat - that just sets him up to be a future Los Altos starter down the road.

You are right with the Tamayo / Robles JAA days. My kid played on that team. Truth of the matter is that Tamayos Dad was a coach and had lots of pull in that league at that time. Tamayo was a very good QB and so was Robles it could have gone either way back then. Influence and politics played a big part in that. Robles parents were ones not to talk and took what the league gave them and never complained. Tables have turned and Robles out grew Tamayo but then again who hasn't out grown him. Thats why he was out of the running as Amats QB this year. If you are 5'7 and have to see over 6' plus D and O lineman chances are you will throw lots of picks out of hurried throws. Robles is doing a fine job over at Northview but the same would happen to him if he was over at Amat. He would not be the starter. Systems make players. Northview is great for Robles. Tamayo is seaching for a home,, yes he is ,and he should have done that his sophmore or junior year...big mistake to be doing this in your senior year...If he does not win the starting position over at Los Altos his dad will have egg all over his face for trying this so late in his sons HS playing days..........

hey u know what i found out from one of the dads at a passing league? i found out that junior tamyo and his dad since the age of 7 has always pushed out a great player of the name of Oscar Robles from Northview. I heard that Robles had to play another position because he supposibly wasnt good enough. but aram hes one of your 10 ten QBs in the valley and tamyo is still looking for a home ha. maybe this is what tamyo has longed deserved. i even heard that robles quit his last year of pop warner football because he was told he wolud never be better than tamayo. wow. let me see Robles up and rising star in the valley or tamyo a transfer still looking for a home nowere near robles's expectations and potential. thats karma really bad for u

Also, there may not be any HH JAA coaches at Wilson, but there are more than one coach(s) from HH Pop Warner coaching at Wilson. I met one at the LA stadium field two months ago working out a couple of his kids. He tried to get my 13 year old to play PW instead of JAA, then recommended he go to Wilson instead of LA for high school(ROFL).

Okay, first let me agree with you on one thing. I think the lack of freshmen players out for this year's LA summer camp at COULD be a sign of displeasure with the current transfer situation...again, COULD be. I know if I was a parent I would not be very excited about the idea of sending my kid to a school where he is possibly going to get replaced in a couple years. On the other hand it is, quite possibly, just a typical lull in the cycle and not a dooms-day sign.

Now allow me to disagree with you on something...Whoever claimed that Los Altos has the "best coaching staff in the valley" was probably a bit of a homer and biased. I don't know that I would go that far, but let's be honest. There are a lot of schools out there that have talent, many that have better talent than LA, and few of them have had the continued success of this program. That is not talent alone that has been winning CIF and League titles...come on.

The coaching staff at LA is like most others in the valley...a dedicated, caring bunch of guys who love football and work hard with their kids to get the most out of them. Don't come in here with your pessimism and claim that all they care about is recruiting, that's just not true. There is not a program in the valley that would have turned down McBride, Seanez, Casteneda, etc. What exactly to you suggest LA should have done? Tell McBride NOT to enroll?

All you guys have to understand something...you claim LA has been recruiting but have ZERO proof of this. Consider this for a minute. How many of you knew that LA didn't have a QB returning for this upcoming season? Do you think that word made it to the ears of Tillis and Tamayo? They knew there was a spot for them to win here at LA. Why is the only explanation that Gano went and recruited them? Did you also know that LA graduated their RB (Ira Thomas)? I bet McBride knew that. Why wouldn't these kids want to come to a top-notch program that has had success if there is an open spot?

We won't even mention the situation with the QB before Casteneda...that was a joke. Ask ANYONE who knows that situation personally and you'll know the truth. Unless you're his friend, there is no logical person who would side with the father. As for Casteneda...the kid loves the coaching staff. He's been back to practice working out with the players. He's constantly talking to the coaches about next season and what they have coming up. Who gives a flying F what the father thinks?

Which brings me to my last point...There are too many parents out there that are living vicarioulsy through their kids. This is why you have kids like Tillis who are transferring three times in three years. For God's sake people...there are more important things in life than football...like friends! Education! Loyalty! Pick and school and stick with it. The problem is not recruiting coaches! The problem with the system is parents (fathers) who act like pimps and treat their kids like their hookers, strutting them around the valley saying "who wants some of this...anyone interested"? It's sad and it's destroying the CIF system which has way too many loopholes to keep up.

The only real player LA got from Amat this year is McBride.........the others are so so players...Tamayo / Tillis......would not have cracked the starting line up for Amat this year........now Seanez and Maciel would be starters at Amat right now..........those two are players worth mentioning here....That was a steal for Gano and LA to get those player for two years........Getting Tillis and Tamayo for their Senior year is not a Impact.......Bryce is going to do well for LA.....

A recruit is a recruit and you do not know what you are getting until they prove to the coach they can play in game conditions. Word of mouth is not doing it anymore..It is prove that you can play in pads. Tamayo / Tillis who the heck knows if they can get the job done.......I mean if they left Amat because of lack of playing time then the question everyone should be asking is are they really that good?...well I guess to go from D1 to D6 could be easier but not really you still have the play the game and thelevel of competition is not that far of a drop off...Amats loss is Los Altos gain could toun into Amats loss could be Los Altos downfall.......see it from both sides...

I don't know what summer camp you are talking about, 06' and 05' yes. 07' LA has about 45 kids out their right now. I've seen that with my own eyes. That is what Gano is all upset about; he sees some major issues in the next few years. This year’s freshman team is sending Gano and his staff a real clear message. "Why am I going to play for LA when it comes time to play of the varsity team GANO is going to recruit someone to replace me?" Everyone knows that if they want to play of the varsity team at LA go to another school wait for the call then make the move your spot is locked up, “GANO RECURIT”

If you judge a coach by his win/loss record, yea GANO is a great coach. But if you judged a coach on is ability to teach these kids about football and life, then GANO has failed as a head coach. If that was one of his stars he won’t have even made a comment, but he was second or third on the depth chart, gone.

You tell me any other school in the Valley that doesn’t have a single player in the back field that worked their way through their system. Gano’s complete STARTING backfield is recruits that haven’t played a single game at LA. Yes, the decision has been made, they are starters. The underclassmen at LA see this that is why the skilled underclassmen have been leaving. That is also why LA has 45 kids playing freshman summer ball an all time low.

Three different schools for the Tillis kid. For what? for a chance to live the dream of being a HS quarterback?....thats as far as it goes...I mean you have to be one heck of a talent to move to the next level of playing on Saturdays in D1 college football........coming out of a D6 program like LA is not going to get you there. JC maybe.......If the Tillis kid was that good he would have tore it up at the D1 Amat and had no competition and would be leading the pack right now over there. Use the he did not get a chance card. Go Ahead..fact is he did and was not Phenom his parents think he is.....I am sure the kid can play...But in no way shape or form is he a legit QB...........he is not a stud of the team.......His education tampered because of a dream.......what a shame.

LA was Tillis 3rd school? Not the kid's fault here, sounds more like a Parental decision. No educational continuity, no steady friends, constantly having to make adjustments, and probably end up playing at the JC level after HS. Good job parent!

Come on and keep it real, kids are being recruited all the time by other schools and sometimes its the parents doing all the talking. Everyone says you talk about height, weight and all that crap. Amat has lost a lot of players, dont get me wrong, but many were do to a lot of different reasons. So, the kid transferred, good for him or should i say them. But stop being bias and let it be. LA has a good program for the division they are in. But in no way would have nearly has many if they played in a tougher division. Some of their teams and that include Shaun Cody, would have done farely well, but they probably wouldn't have won the D1 Championship that year. Stop talking about crap you dont know anything about.

1 an only one comment congrats to all these young men stepping up and fighting for a position @ respective schools Los Altos is not the only school that kis are transferring to. But I have to say that Amat has lost alot of talent to respective schools starting with Castaneda. And as a spectator and also a Father of a teammate LA scored with a hell of a quarterback 2 yrs ago. Not Gano's fault Amat judges its talent by size and profile rather than heart and talent. That in my opinion is the reason why Los Altos has a successful program best talent plays andd not favorites and/or politics. Los Altos will have another great year w alot of returning talent @ also new talent. BTW, You seem to have some trouble with the definition of the word opinion.

An opinion would be something like "I think Gano is a poor/good coach". A well supported opinion would then list examples of why this is so.

On the other hand, something like "Gano promised Tamayo the starting job" is not an opinion, it's a rumor. It can be one of two things: if it were true it would be a fact, or if it were false it would be a lie.

Aram's blog is not supposed to be a vehicle to spread misinformation, at least as far as I understand.

BTW, given that no one has remotely shown any evidence that Gano said anything of the sort AND the QB candidates are still getting equal reps, I have to wonder what's the agenda of the people who come up with this stuff?

Aram, I heard that their were a few negative comments "ha ha" this weekend about Gano and his recuriting tactics, why were they all deleted. Gano has had a free ride for years playing games within the system. The blog is for people to express their opinion. I know the local coaches read the blog, so now when Gano don't like what he reads, he makes the call and you remove it. If thats the case don't start any new sections about Gano. As you can see he isn't really like very much in the community and its only getting worse. Gano, if you want to improve that image, more coaching less recurting. Of course then you would actually have to work.

Maybe. At least one LA coach I know thinks Tillis is the better QB of the two Amat guys (of course, he's a transfer too... would he have been Amat's 5th string QB by this arcane reconning?). And a lot like the look of the lefty in the long run.

Speculation is academic, though, since the decision is in the hands of QB coach Aguilar, and he hasn't publicly named or implied anyone as winning the job.

Latest news.....tuition and parent service hours at Amat will most likely increase after LA Archdiocese settles $600 million in priest abuse suit......will that translate to more defections to Los Altos/South Hills? Come on Amat faithful stay strong and focused.

Like Castaneda , small good player, roll out QB will run if no one is open. Lots of batted down passes because of lakcof height.......bottom line: good player good season but no Championship in their cards. If Amat demoted him after him serving them for 3 years I think Los Altos is kidding themselves if they think Tamayo can take them to the Ship. Not going to happen.

All u have to do is enroll in there agricultural program & ur in. Lots of kids from whittier pony who are suppose to be going to Whittier, Cal & La Serna go to Sonora to play Baseball by raising a pig & selling it at the OC county fair !!!!

You can transfer into any open-enrollment school that has room. Doesn't mean CIF will let you play football there.

I have to believe Tomayo wins the spot with Longoria just behind him. They could even switch off on occasion. Tillis looks like a better DB than QB too.

I'm a WC Bulldog fan & not an Amat fan but it is unfortunate in my eyes to see our local D1 representitive loose so much talent.
I know Dorian Wells father from previouslly working with him in my trade, although I did not know Wells was his son until a few weeks ago when I spoke to the father at the Northview, Schur, & South Hills passing game. When I worked with the father about 4 or 5 years ago he told me that his son was a talented football player and
that I'll hear about him when he reaches the highschool level, then I find out at this passing league game a few weeks ago that Dorian Wells was his son that he told me to look out for when he reaches the highschool level.
I saw Wells father about a year & a half ago, & we started talking highschool football, at this time Dorian was a sophmore & I still had no idea who he was, all I knew at that time was that his son played for Amat and was a pretty good player,
but I remember the father saying how talented this Amat sophmore team was, & you can imagine with players like Wells, Mcbride,Bonilla,Seinez,Wagner, Austin. etc. etc.
this had to be a pretty loaded team.
I also heard from an ex Mater Dei dad that this years Amat seniors [class of 08] & Mater Dei's seniors when both teams were freshman were both very good & expected to be the teams to beat in D1 when they reached their seinor years [this coming season] so you just wonder how good this team would have been if they had stood together.

I see why you guys have problems at Amat. All of this lying about kids, parents and whatnot. Now you're trying create tension at Los Altos where it doesn't exist. Tamayo and Tillis are friends from what I hear.In regards to Tillis being asked to play a different position by coaches, thats more propaganda and nonsense. After the first day of summer practices, Tamayo left and "took 3 days off", when it was rumored that he was already transfering... He comes back the next week... and Whut? all of a sudden he wants to play reciever? No... Coaching staff told him straight up that he was no longer going to be in consideration for the QB position... and he settled for reciever and he remained unhappy. He was the fourth Quarterback, It was and still is a tie at the top between Iglesias, Lenhart, and Maclenehan, at best he was tied for third.

The unknown talent Im talking about are all of the sophmores form Last year (w/ the exception of Nick Iglesias and Frank Lopez), who for the most part all started last year in Jessie Prieto, Brent Seals, JR Maffie, Frank Lopez, Nick Iglesias, Sheldon Price..... All players that you are going to hear about this year... and you ask why Amat wasn't soo good last year?.... Cuz that was their first year of Varsity and they were doing it as a sophmore!!! Maybe in the Southwestern division your sophmores can be be all great and Hot stuff... but in the Pac 5 where you face teams that have All Americans (I don't JAA) And A long list of players going to big Time D-1 Schools week in and week out, you are bound to struggle a bit and take you licks when you're that young... I think the only reason why Tamayo waited this long is to take avantage of the real coaching at Amat, something he isn't going to get at LA. I think that sacrifices made at Amat regarding dress code, attire on Fridays, not talking to anyone on game day, are felt to be completely worth it when the team is WINNING. You got rings every year, then nobody cares about the hardships. You don't win, and all of a sudden, it's too rigid. I wonder if Ralph Brown or Brian Russell had any problems with the rules.

It is coming down to $$money$ nowadays...why have to compete for a position at Amat and have your parents pay money for it and the service hours that go into it when you can play for free at a lower division (not that this matters) school like Los Altos and So. Hills and play for a winner(jury still out)....all free including books...you pay around $300-$500 on books every year at Amat for your kid not to mention the tuition. Then you have to buy the clothes...Public you were what you want....and you wear your game jerseys on Fridays to school not like Amat where you have to wear a tie and shirt and a Amat pullover......lots of tradeoffs here but the real issue is money...time are tough today and saving that money goes along way in certain families not to mention college tuition. The public school is the way to go right now with all the success LA and SH are having with football it makes sense to play for free then to play on a So called Amat loser and pay money for it.......Education is education but heck Football on friday nites is where it is at....Heck I want to play on a winner and not have it cost me a thing than play on a loser and pay money for it.....screw education and college I just want dad to be happy that I played HS football and he got to live his dream thru me........what a crock of SH--.......

My understanding of a button wearer is someone with no sense of reality much like that of a Chicago Cubs fan as I have seen this analogy here before. The season begins with excitement of the prospect of a World Series victory but the excitement fades when reality sets in and they accept their lot in life as just an average team and finally accept it year in and year out. I believe it does not only apply to Glendora fans either it applies to anyone with the same mindset. I do not believe the saying button wearer is a put down but just a way to address someone who indeed needs a reality check. And forbid me Mike the Clone if I am wrong for I am sure you will set me straight. Mike you need to post a Clone glossary.

This does not surprise me in the least with Junior Tamayo leaving. This is a very good kid and has the total smarts to play QB. I am sure the Tillis Dad is not happy with this transfer because Blake always played behind Tamayo during their days at Amat. Soph. and Junior years. Tamayo was a good JAA QB and knows the position and this could help the Conqs. No knock on Junior I for one always thought he handled himself very well on and off the field, but he was the back up or Third stringer last year behind Carrillo and Wells. He helds for the PATS. This could be the QB LA is looking for. At Amat this year Junior and his dad could see the writing on the wall that he was not in coach Verti plans due to height restrictions...Nick Iglesias 6' Lenhart 6' Tamayo 5'7.this is not rocket science..he was not going to get the nod. He was out of the running from the get go , lets be honest. He left only to come back and try out for reciever...left again because the desire of him being a HS QB is in him and his dad. Remember this kid growing up since 8 yrs. old had dreams of being the Amat QB..Junior loved Amat and that is where we wanted to play....well times change and people you once dominated as a kid come back and out grow you as a teen and the tide changes. I wish only the best of luck to Junior and his family over at Los Altos. We call it Student Athlete but it is quite reversed nowadays and it is becoming Athlete student. For Ten games of football and maybe a playoff round or two to pull your kid for that reason and leave behind the three years he put into his education over at Amat and miss the graduation with your classmates and all the fun of your senior year in exchange for QB position...where are the priorities with parents nowadays?...at 5'7 I dont think there is a snowballs chance in hell he gets a football scholorship...so this is all done for the glory of 10 plus games in HS ball??? you have got to wonder? In his Junior year Tamayo should have gave up the QB idea and switched position then and would be starting for Amat at either WR or DB or free safety. This kid can take a hit and is a tough player. I think his parents just got fed up and tired with Amat not only in football but also with baseball. Tamayo is a talented baseball player and he was not on the varsity team his junior year and it amazes me that he was left off behind some of the kids that were on this baseball team. Tamayo was a far better player than some of kids on that championship team but like all schools politics play a big part. He got caught up in the politics of baseball but he lacked size in football..I wished he would have changed positions in football ....one thing I can say about Tamayo is he does not lack heart. Hope he does well and wins that starting job over at LA.

A few random thoughts:

1-The difference between the '97 team and todays might be the coaching staff..

2-It was not very long ago that there was a quote in this paper from Verti that said, "Nick Lenhart, Jerry McLanahan and Nick Iglesias are vying for the quarterback spot." So the transfer is not a blow - according to the staff.

3-If the 4th string QB (according to the staff) leaves school and is now the missing link and savior of another "top notch" program -can you see why the amat fans may think that there is a little bit difference in the competition level. It is not that they are "putting anyone down" but just looking at that reality for what it is.

4-Now, if we want to debate the talent evaluation that is a different story. Tamayo may "throw the best ball" but I've seen a ton of guys that can really swing it in the batting cage or shoot the lights out in warm-ups. That does not make them the best player. Necessarily. If you want to debate that -you may want to refer back to point #1

To ALL AMAT supporters, My advice to all is to just stay off the blogg and just let the dirt settle. this blogg has alot to do with players leaving these kids want to win but with all the crap that you guys talk and all the hate that other blogger from SGV teams read nowounder why they want to leave. I used to like Amat but after reading this blogg forget it, and what I mean by crap is how YOU AMAT supporters keep putting other SGV teams down. Remember Amat has alot of kids that are from SGV and have freinds at other schools and there freinds are telling them to leave and come play with them.

I also beleive in closed practices concentration level during practiices should be dedicated to preparation and not some over zealous booster roaming the sideline. USC and UCLA practiices are all closed. I know we are talking high school ball so it's different but in todays enviroment and with some parents today I say close them but the chance of that happening no way.

Wow! Good Morning or that's at least what you're saying if you’re Los Altos. You never know what your going to read next on this blog and everyday is a new day in the on going saga between Bishop Amat and Los Altos.
Can somebody please tell me exactly how many transfers that are now that have defected from Bishop Amat and how many of them are truly impact players. I am serious but want a sane, rational, reasonable, objective, unbiased opinion on these athletes.
Here’s the reality of the situation. Friday nights this year you’re going to watch once private school Pac 5 athletes now Southwest Division football players competing making plays against one another and if you’re Los Altos vs. South Hills that has to be somewhat bizarre when after three years of playing together now suddenly you’re no longer teammates instead you’re the opponent. To the victor goes the rewards and to the losers well there’s always next year’s potential transfer candidates!
Is anybody going to line up this year with their skilled players that for a change actually live in their district or better yet are from their community and attended their middle schools or how about are their seriously any kids left in programs that went to their elementary schools? Or does everybody now just always dream of one day playing for the elite public schools so you know the grass can be greener on the other side and right before your senior year you just decide one day to leave and go to the school of your choice? That’s what doesn’t make sense to me anymore is when I was in school you always were upset when you lost your best athletes to your neighboring parochial schools but now just the opposite is occurring and what’s sad is we’re losing traditions and rivalries…or at the very least the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer just Winners and Losers! Do you agree with how EVERYTHING is changing in high school football?

THE SECRET TO SUCCESS Go take an ad out at the at Tribune and stop wasting blogger space with your crap. Do you expect us`to believe that story?

OK, we ARE losing players, let's see why...

1 - Some were lost due to disciplinary actions, not the fault of the staff.

2 - A couple were lost to divorce. A tragedy for the players but once again, not the fault of the staff.

3 - Some have left because their crybaby parents, even the kid themselves were complaining about not getting quality playing time. Now who's at fault here?

If you can't hang, you are free to leave. You are NOT under contract, you DO NOT have a gun to your head. Why have a bunch of miscontent kids on the team? They serve no purpose. Give me a kid who's giving 110% becuase he's trying than a talent who doesn't give a damn.

Apparently parents and the kids themselves have their priorities AFU. Education comes first, athletics come second. If you think your kid is a D1 scholarship candidate, think again. The odds of getting a full ride to college are better with grades than what you do on the field. The stats prove it.

Let's see these kids in 5 or 6 years and check thier progress, it won't be pretty. Just ask Lawrence Phillips and Maurice Claret.

If Amat has so much unknown talent why did Verti not use this talent last year and why didn't they finish with a better record? We should already know about these guys. These same players were on last year's team. Is it just inexperience on the coaches part? We'll all find out this season. Oh, I have seen a practice and Amat at Bonita. NOT IMPRESSED!!!! THEY GOT WORKED!!!

Ummmm... sorry 5'6" doesn't cut it in da Pac 5 or Serra league, but it may work for LA, (like Castaneda did) but unfortantely in the Pac 5 you have to be able to see over your line in order to throw the ball.... and there was about a 9 inch difference with Tamayo and the line, the difference at LA will probably only be like what 3 inches??? Also ... let me know when the going gets tough and tell me what you think of Tamayo then.... not the best work ethic nor the greatest adjuster( in da game or game situation)

To Facts, Please!!! Ummmm... Im assuming you do not know your history... Look at Amat's '97 team... Who were the "Big Stars" on that team... Michael Wagner and Chris Rix. ( Rix didn't play until the Last game of the season, so at that point he was a nobody and just little inexpierenced sophmore). Where was that team predicted to end (4-6; with no playoff hope). Where did they end up? 9-1, and in the Semis of the Div. 1 playoffs.... and if it wasn't for Sean Koelle's injury at QB, and Rix's inexpierence... who knows where that team ends up? Fast Foward 10 years later and look at the similarities... Predictions for Amat... in da gutter and no better than 5-5 w/o a playoff appearence... "Big Name" Stars.... 2 ... inexpierence at QB...yes.... Big Name RB.... yes... Hmmmm.... Does this sound like Deja Vu perhaps? Remember dingleberry, this game of football is played by 22 players out on the field not just by the "Big Stars". And everyone on here is focusing on the negative... but until you don't see who is still there... and who can do what. So go and watch a Practice b4 you run ur mouth!!!!

Aram, you are completely slanted against Amat now. This isn't even newsworthy. Tamayo was not the best by a long shot. Nice kid but he's too small for any division of football. Tamayo was not even a factor at Amat and will probably not be one at Los Altos. He would have been better off playing defense or sticking with baseball. No hate people, just the honest truth.

In Verti's defense its tough to balance out a group of 'All Stars", cant keep them all happy...

People used to always tell me that my son was a good and strong football player...but...they would always say that he needed to work on his speed. I took him to Optimal Sports and his speed increased significantly in about 5 weeks. His body transformed from a large framed kid with some muscle to being all muscle as a Freshman. Upper division players can't believe he's only 13 because of how ripped he got. He's like a different player. Now that he's been training for almost 3 months, he is explosive on the football field. Tamayo was no longer in the running for the QB spot as of Three weeks ago. As of the week Of the Bonita Air Assult (Passing Tourney)he had been playin reciever at Amat. This was not a big blow for Amat and the "bleeding" doesn't continue. He was at best tied for third for the QB spot when he was trying out there, but not higher than that. He maybe Gano's answer to his problems, but he defenitely wasn't an answer to Amat's "problem".

We'll keep welcoming all the players Amat doesn't want. McBride has been tearing it up from day one. Seanez is catching all kinds of balls, picking right up from last year and Tillis continues to light it up and looked very impressive in passing league yesterday. Plus all 3 of these guys are blazing fast. Makes you wonder who was really evaluating the talent over there at Amat. Thanks. We'll keep all the Amat lemons and make lemonade.
