I believe Mark Pasquarella is a graduate of South Hills High School where he played center for the Huskies Football team. He also played Basketball for the Huskies. He was a stand out athlete, very serious and very detail oriented and a tenacious competitor inside sources tell me.

I know Rosemead is going into the Los Altos game as a huge underdog and no one is giving them a chance in hell to win, I applaud the 'Mead for trying to better themselves by playing the best competition out there and LA for giving them that chance to do so.
LA is in a no win situation here, they get ridiculed and laughed at for playing a weaker opponent and heavens forbid if they lose...GOOD LAWD!!
Your players and program don't improve by constantly playing teams that you know you can beat. Where's the challenge? Where's the learning experience in that?
So although Rosemead has to play at an "A" game level and Los Altos at a "B-C" level to even make it competitive. I'm still hoping for a 'Mead win and that both teams stay healthy and injury free.
GO PANTHERS!!!
Big Reg,
Trivia, What high school did Pasquarella play at and even more surprising what position?
Fellow HS Sports fans of the SGV.....
For the record.....
I feel strongly about my statement - "Of the four Week 1 games Fred, Steve and I previewed in the 2-Minute Drills the largest score differential will be Steve Garrison's Monrovia Wildcats over the Crutchfield's Duarte Falcons. Sorry 'no contest' you are wrong.
Other than that......
Los Altos will destroy Rosemead
Mater Dei will destroy West Covina
and
Glendora could destroy Covina
(yes this is my alma mater and yes this is painful to say)
however Glendora Tartans HC Pasquarella's winning formula often includes controlling the tempo of the game and slowing things down. I believe the Tatans will win the game by early in the 3rd quarter and then Pasquerella will get the 2nd stringers in to get them some reps and the score will be alot closer in the end than the game was. Tartans over the Colts for the 4th straight year. Ouch!
P.S. Don't forget Glendora Tartans HC Mark Pasquarella was the HC at Covina for 1 year in 1990 and led the Colts to a undefeated Valle Vista League Championship before departing to newly opened Ayala HS.
P.S.S. Covina Colts HC Darryl Thomas is 22-4 over the last 2 years. It will be a battle of strategies between these two coaching staffs. He knows how to win.

Fred,
Who on earth was marble mouth in those bite's. I know your only the tribune, but for god's sake get a twelve year old in there to edit that voice. I promise you that I wll picket outside your building if you lose to steve in picks this year!
Going to the Glendora/Covina game just to see first hand the Tartan D. Lots of people have seen this squad practice and say they are a once in a life team group of studs. Hope Covina will come to play. Heard alot about this young QB Kaluzny. Looking forward to seeing him to.
Won't make it to the W. Covina/Mater Dei game. But I am pulling for the Bull Dogs. Win this game and win a lot of respect.
GO GO GLENDORA !!! Good luck Panthers , BEATING Los Altos will be tough , Dean Miraldi says " BE A MAN OR GET THE F OUT !" If you do not know who Miraldi is or was , you should not be wering The Maroon & Grey ....
Joe Amat said it best, 'Tis better to remain silent and have others think you are a fool - than to post and remove all doubt!"
Are you listening Mike the Clone?
What helpless species are you planning to cut down next? Lets see you have attacked women, religion, JAA coaches, GHS football, etc.. Your button wearer friends at Amat havn't had the fortune of you peeing on thier program yet. Give it time. They will also soon realize it's all about MTC.
OK, lets hear from your buds at Amat. Funny how the Glendora Faithful (except the posers) don't bother to support you.
damien vs bosco is gonna be a good game with doss boscos D1 running back going against the spartan D
Temple City vs. ARROYO!?!? C'mon atleast talk about a game thats going to be competitive..not the Los Altos vs Rosemead game! Talk about the rams and KNIGHTS at beautiful B.L. Bergstrom Stadium!
Fred, Steve and Big Reg...nice job on the sound bites. Wish we could see your mugs on the local cable channel but that's another story I guess. Still no games, right? Thanks for your work and I'm hoping ur right on my Tartans. They need to not listen too the hype and make sure they show up. For Reg to pick'em that strong makes me feel a bit better casue I think that ur goin against your alma mater. Is that right? Which game are you at this week Senior Freddy? Do we get to serve you a Tartan dog and a coke Friday?
Mater Dei, Glendora, LA will blow out their opponents..
Only close game here may be Monrovia and Duarte..
