Comments: South Hills shook up the rankings a bit after pushing Los Altos to five games and upsetting Walnut in five. The Huskies have some impressive wins in the early season, but coach Charm Doyle is still looking for some consistency. If she gets it, this could be a team to watch in November. … There are two big matches today to keep an eye on. Undefeated Northview faces its first big test of the season when it hosts defending Valle Vista League champion San Dimas at 3:15 p.m. … There’s also a top-five battle when No. 2 Bonita hosts No. 3 Walnut at 5:15 p.m. in a nonleague match… Gladstone, which gave up its stranglehold of the Montview League last season, appears ready to move back to the top of the Montview League mountain after starting 5-0 in league play. … Charter Oak, which falls just outside the top 10, gets a chance to bump its way in today as it faces No. 1 Los Altos.
