I know this is really boring and you are skipping to the next comment, but I just wanted to throw you a big thanks - you cleared up some things for me!

It is appropriate time to make a few plans for the longer term and it's time to be happy. I have read this submit and if I may just I want to suggest you few fascinating issues or tips. Maybe you can write subsequent articles referring to this article. I wish to learn even more things about it!

Dallas came out and downed the ball and shook hands. No matter if you agree with a teams decisions that are in no way endangering you physically you should not teach, cover up for or encourage cheap shots as payback. I never said, Latinos live in crap hole and the comments I made about giving up football were based towards all that mess at Bassett high school. So before you attempt to post my comments, make sure you have the correct version.

As for me crying the "race card," I have never used that in my life or on this blog. I do think there slights against certain races, but it has nothing to do with football or the issue we're discussing!

The issue with Crutch had nothing to do with race! There have been many comments about Crutch on this blog (some good and some bad). However, when you decide to use the statement "I thought the SOB had been lynched" and you know the coach is black, that speaks volumes! I guess Fred heard me because your little "lynching comment" has been removed!

Bottom line is this, I am glad he is back. No one is perfect and we all have character flaws we have to fix. However, he has got many of his kids into 4 years colleges and he does try to do the right thing. He also works with kids that many of the clowns on this blog would never go near!

As for you Anonymous................for all the crap you talk, I know you would never say half this crap to Crutch's face. Your the pathetic loser, not me. I am not the reason we have racism in this country, it's people like you! So stick to bashing coaches and teams (that is your right.....freedom of speech is great). Good to see you back Coach. As for the hate being delivered on the blog, please stop it. Coach C. knows his Xs and Os and his record of winning speaks for himself. His record for helping kids get it to college also speaks for itself.

Crutch just earned himself and his team a bullseye for Referees to exploit. after this mess you can bet the refs are going to be all over his team for any penalty of unsportsman like conduct as well as watching his every move as a coach. The refs will not be kind to this coach and he will not win anything this year due to this..he will not get the call as punishment...watch and see refs do not forget and they know damn well who incited that riot.

Coach Crutchfield did what he had to do for his team; back his players up, get the parents on his side, some publicity, let it be known that other teams are treated better, than those from a poorer areas and when they cry foul, you can really see where their class is. If the coach from Gladstone did his job, all the players who rushed the field would be suspended without anyone else telling him what to do, take the loss the next game and play harder. However, most people in the S.G.V. are good Christians and will fight to the death to prove their point even if their point is ethically and morally wrong. Good Job Coach Cruthchfield!

Like all family disputes it's better to let family work things out. Welcome back Coach C. The kids and parents knew what they had and were NOT willing to give you up without their say so. I applaud the Duarte principal for standing by his community's wishes. The onus will be on every Duarte player, coach, parent and fan to make sure they continue to succeed both on and off the field. Life is about learning from adversity. Hopefully it was a lessoned learned.

What amazes me is the real reason people have issue with Crutchfield, which is he doesn't call off the dogs in a game. News flash people, that is not a violation of any rule in the game of football. If you don't want your team beat that badly, then forfit. The opposing coach has that option as well. He and Duarte took their limps his first years as coach. everybody wants to talk about how football is a game of toughness and grit, but then you want mercy if you're getting you ASSES handed to you. You're all a bunch of hypocrites. Especially those who use this as an excuse to throw out racial slurs and express your true nature. Its just a coinsidence, right? The principal stated he was doing what was best for the players, the school and the program. If Coach Crutchfield was the monster you all are trying to make him, then there would be no way in hell he would be coming back. Neither the school district nor CIF would allow it. That's the reality.

Who are you to state the character of the Falcon Football Players? Do you personally know any of them, have you ever spoken to a single falcon player on this team? Are you aware that 80% of the team carry a 3.0 GPA or better? And the ones who don't stay in study hall and/or get tutored so that they can improve their GPA. This is not a school requirement, this is a Cruthfield requirement. And yes, the are also courteous and respectful, everyone adult they address, they do do so with yes ma'am and yes sir, thank you ma'am and thank you sir. This is what they are taught by Crutchfield.

Where does everyone get the "Duarte are Thugs" mentality from? Just because they are tough on the field? Isn't that how football players are supposed to be? Tough on the field and courteous off the field? That's exactly what the Falcons are!

Good news. I hope Crutch comes out a changed man from this. Things like this have a tendency to make a guy look at what he has done.

The key sentence was
"...Mr. Crutchfield has agreed to meet my expectations..."

Let's hope that happens and the team and staff begin to act appropriately. Otherwise a change will be made at a more convenient time after the season.

Remember, Bob Knight got another chance at Indiana after thePrez put in a "Zero Tolerance" policy. It wasn't long until BK was looking for a new school - he didn't learn

This is great.

Some good, some bad in this.

Good - Serving as an example to his athletes to never give up and not quit on a responsibility just because things don't go the way you want them to. I hope he apologizes to his team for abandoning them. (this is all under the assumption that resigning was, in fact, his choice and not him being forced out).

Bad - His arrogant attitude is a negative influence on these kids and brings greater negative scrutiny to Duarte. Like it or not Crutch...you have a bad reputation throughout the valley. By being associated with Duarte you are causing that negativity to be projected on your team and the school. I'm not saying that's right...I'm just saying that's the reality. You talk about how unfair it is for Duarte to have a bad rep in the valley but you're association with the school makes things worse. That's reality.

Good Luck Duarte...I sincerely hope you boys have a fantastic season and can get past all this early drama.
