Comments

I had an amazing and exciting time watching the Glendora Varsity Boys basketball team climb their way to the CIF semi-finals. All the boys did a great job in displaying their talents and skills. Especially Dominic Tiger-Cortez. Amazing athlete, no doubt his three point shots are outstanding. When under pressure this young man can really shine and show his natural talent. but what caught my eye the most was his display of sportsmanship and caring attitude, this is whats makes a great player even better. good job Dominic for being an excellent role model. your parents did a great job. I will be on the look out for the name ''Dominic Tiger-Cortez'' in the college leagues. No Doubt you will be a star! Good Luck in your Senior year.

LA Fan,
Los Altos stats must be taken with a grain of salt. They never post their individual game totals. For the last couple of years all they have is season averages, but no individual game stats.

Trojan Man,

My father-in-law has fought that disease now for 14 years with 3 reoccurances. I know he'll be sad when he hears another person got beat by that mean son of a b4tch...the big L.

My father-in-law is one of the most courageous men I've ever met. Today I'll give him a call and plan our long overdue Vegas trip. Been in the planning stages since XMas.

I'm surprising him with $10,000. He always gambled since I back when I was first dating his daughter over 30 years ago but the cost of the disease is a terrible burden for anyone. And he doesn't get around as well as he used to.

City of Hope is a God send to many people fighting Cancer. They are the true warriors in the fight with all those expperimental drug. If anyone needs a place to put some money ...that's the place!

I don't gamble but I will probably cry seeing him play craps to his hearts content. I love him very much. Today is truely a sad day.

God Bless you Larry Smith and my prayers are with your family. That's just too young to die.

Trojan for Life..Fight on!

would you two keep your baby comments outta here? No one wants to read about your personal life. this is a sports blog not a baby blog.

Hey fred I was wonderin if you had a chance to check out Los Altos big man, hes on ly about 6'4 but according to max preps hes averaging like 12 or 13 rebounds and 13 points per game, im a Class of 92 alum and I've seen my alma mater play about ten times this season, this kid is the real deal, hes aggressive and ATTACKS the glass, I personally cant wait for the game this week against Diamond Ranch, wondering if you were gonna provide any coverage for this one? LA is putting together a decent little season

Saturday's bad loss is history. Time to look at this week's big game. Biggest game in the valley this year? Maybe so. Wednesday night the Chino Hills Huskies come to Tartan land and will be looking for revenge. Glendora gave them their only ding in league on their home hardwood and now look to return the favor. A win by CH, and league is all knotted up between the 2. If the Tartans can pull this one out as well, they are in a bigtime driver's seat looking at the league title shinning down the road just in front of them. This is THE game of the Sierra League this year and the biggest game for Glendora in a while.

A line from a movie ....
My Dad said it too , he worked TWO jobs to take care of his 5 boys and 1 daughter . HE WAS THE MAN , I lost him 4 years ago today , he will ALWAYS be my hero . I hope to be half the MAN he was , I try EVERY DAY !

good pick, Hzuqwvim Zxjok M'quld
if rowland wins they can win a share of the league championship
if nogales wins nogales wins outright

of course i choose nogales, but as you know anyone can beat anyone ona any given day

it gets no better than this, two rivals battling it out for the legue championship

reminds me of the old dodgers/padres thingys =D

ROWLAND

nogales v rowland wednesday night for the san antonio crown

what do you guys think?
=D

Posted by: THEHenry at January 27, 2008 11:36 PM

I'm crushed. lol

check a keyboard...m and n are side by side. That's called a typo.....just like Plane and Plain.....that's called back row student, Losers always think it's luck when thinks go right for others and a bad break when they don't work out for you....which must be often. Losers always complain "pity" when the truth is you couldn't measure up. Don't pretend to speak for my children. YOU KNOW NONE OF THEM --- CLEARLY! My son's last report card was 4.8. Figure out how many AP classes that takes to generate that mark. You do know what AP classes are right?

Like most losers your ignorance shows..."It's called being proud of your chi;dren and having something to be proud of"... and that's called good parenting. Which NO ONE will ever deny me...or by children.

Maybe you missed my point but I'll pop off one more time. Sports is nice but it's only sports. Keep some perspective on things. Get an education and come back when you know the difference between "mocking" a fine academic institution like Damien and letting your hate/ignorance show. Coming at me thru my kids is tired and weak. At least you're not alone in that regard.

But I'll cry later. See you at the USC graduation. It's that school NEXT to where the "RAIDERS" played? lol

Fight On! Loser.

I reread one of your posts. You have the gall to pick on my spelling when you can't even type a simple 4 letter word. The word is SEND not semd. Gotta love that Damien education huh? My accomplishments are not relevant here. You are the one popping off about your kids dumb shot that got lucky. I feel sorry for your kid with a dad like you. I wish your kid best of luck at leroys boys home

nogales v rowland wednesday night for the san antonio crown

what do you guys think?
=D

Apparently you do.

And by the way that's "Plain stupid" not "Plane stupid". But you "new" that.

Oh no another crushing comment.

Go to sleep little boy your panties are bunching up again.

I'm still waiting for your accompishment list.

No one cares about your kid jacking up shots at the wrong time.I hear leroy boys home is looking for a good player.

And that's why you're a loser and he's on the winning team. Game over! By the way he tested in the 99 percentile so sports ain't his only ticket. I'll semd you a Harvard bumper sticker for your shopping cart.

Dude it only makes sense if you had any. Besides he stole the ball on the inbounds and hit 2 Free throws seal the game after getting fouled. Having the guts to shoot the ball in that spot is why players play and others can only watch and criticize so have fun.

Maybe he'll be on Webb's team or Damien's or maybe he get's the revenge cut on the first day but in the end I know he'll participate on a Nationally ranked Debate Team with the most successful coach in Southern California, Chuck Ballingall.

Hey this is fun. Got a list of your accomplishments or are you just farting nonsense.

shooting a 3 with 51 seconds left and down one is just plane stupid. That kid need more coaching.

WOW you sure you were watching the Wesco vs rowland game? WOW....i would say the refs beat us rather than Rowland..i was even talking to Rowland parents and they did agreed that the refs was goiing towards you guys...i hope we see you in CIF and good luck in your season

sgvpride that's because most shooters can't dribble? For that matter most basketball players can;t dribble, it's a lost art! Like a JUMP SHOT!!!

Basetball players like Willie Trimble could do it all...and with style! Still one of the best big time performers I've ever seen in person. Pure draining jump shot, dribble,Inside game Outside game, defend, rebound, block shots, run and offense, hit big time shots, Open and with a man in his Face! A complete player! Does anyone know what happened to him? Played at Upand last year and set the house on fire at the All Star Game at APU but after that I lost touch.

i was there too. both our big men were in foul trouble too. the bad calls went both ways. we beat them like we do year in and year out. FRED. your crap. you ranked South hills and West co and they havent beat us yet. get your grudge off hamlow you sack of crap. I thought tolegian was a biggot i see your true colours now.

if a player is really that good, and he is performing on a big stage. with several college scouts in attendance. you'd think he would try and put up some numbers. but no he was shut out. ball players come and play every single night regardless. When your getting 4 picks every series down on offense of course your going to get shots. but can he create his own shot? Just like the problem JJ Redick had coming out of duke

Trojan Man...still want to bball? My sons are the ballers but I can still set a Mean WES UNCEL pick, hit from the corner baseline and play defense. Full court is out of the question because of 7 knee surgeries but half court and 3 Advils and I'm good for 3 hours of fun! The pain that comes later is worth it just to see my oldest son take you left, right and downtown. lol And then see my other middle son bang with you for boards. My youngest plays the point and recently hit a game winning 3 with 51 seconds to go in a see saw 1 point game....When the other players asked him, "Who shoots a 3 with 51 seconds to go when your down by one?" He said, "I do!"

So you'll have your hands full.

Last time I played against Rosemead competition was the toughest football game I ever played in. So I'm not expecting to win without getting as good as I give. LOL

See you at the Glendora Game...I'll be decked out in my Trojan Dad cap and flying my TROJAN colors. How sweet it is!

Arroyo is currently in first place in the MVL in Boys and Girls Soccer (both undefeated in league) and Girls Basketball. Additionally, the Arroyo Wrestling team has already secured the league title with wins over Rosemead and El Monte.
GO KNIGHTS GO!

Bad form Trojan Man....bad form.

Gee Trojan Man since when were wins meaningless...oh that's right that's what USC said to Stanford, cost them a National Championship, Oklahoma said to Boise State , Bowl victory and intense ridicule, and Michigan said to Applalachia State, cost Carr his job...should I continue?

Glendora will bounce back. Congratualtions to Damien's basketball team with a much needed win against La Canada. Best of luck to the Spartans in the final game of the season aganst Glendora....it will be my first and only game of the season. Still don't know how Austin isn't doing the same for Damien as Tiger is for Glendora. Heard they play on the same travel ball team with Woodland's Dad as their coach. Wonder why the 3 aren't on the same team...that would have been a TOUGH team to beat!

Tiger Cortez is a STUD for that team and anyone who doesn't know that is just out of their minds. If anything is apparent in basketball these days is the inability for most basketball players to handle the ball. Damien and Glendora for the last game of the season might be a blowout of an overtime barnburner! May the best team win!

Congratulations to West Covina and Dan the Man! Must have been a hella of a game. Well done!

Tiger is SOLID .... It is nearly impossible to win EVERY GAME ! Congrats to West Covina . Although the win was pretty meaningless .

Fight On

TM

dont believe the hype!
tiger cortez is way overrate!
glendora is not that good. take away cortez and u got pretty much nothing. apply constant pressure to him and he will fold. People in the sierra league should ask west covina how to stop him. because thats what they did. i believe he had 12 or so.

Damien leads, 24-21, half

That Diamond Ranch-Bonita game was amazing. Hats off to both teams. They are definitely two of the top teams in the area.
