Bonita fan It was a crappy game by both team yesterday. Walnut goalie only touch the ball 4 times. Walnut #11 was off side the whole game. I thought I was a AYSO game the way both teams was playing. Still Walnut did win 1-0

Half the battle is learning how to finish! Yesterday LA boys played a well organized game against Charter Oak, dominating the mid-field and finishing. Final score 7-0! Past games we have dominated in the field but failed to capitalize on our opportunities. Good Luck LA!

You are right one PK shouldn't make a whole game. Walnut never did make a goal in the game. Sh D was playing a great game to keep them out of the goil. The other hand Walnut girls water polo in know 24 & 0 after beating bonita in a tough game 10-8. Great job by both teams

I agree completely but the ref should not determine the outcome of a game. Wilson dominated and it could of been a blowout but they could not finish all of their chances. There was a penalty in favor of Wilson not called but that's part of the game. My problem is when the ref becomes the start of the game because of his inability to do his job. It's amazing this guys get pay what they get.

Part of the game
You bring up a very good point. A team should be able to do their part and not leave it up to the ref. However, yesterday's LA vs DR game was very close. It was a clear off sides that was never called by the ref that determined the final outcome of the game. Soccer is a very unforgiving game. You can dominate every minute of the game and still lose because of a bad call. I have seen many games come down to refs failing to do their job. Yesterday's ref was suppose to ref the JV game but the second varsity ref never showed. His inexperience was very evident from the start of the game. All in all, I agree that a team should never leave it up to the ref to determine the outcome of any game.
Posted by: soccer fan | January 30, 2008 9:39 AM
Seriously, you guys need to stop complaining about refs! Good ref, bad ref...it's all part of the game! Your teams need to learn to assess a ref early on in the game and learn to play accordingly. I'm so tired of this culture of blaming refs. Don't put yourself in a position where a bad call or missed call can turn a game and you won't have to worry about it.
Ask yourself how many goals your team missed yesterday and then tell me that it was "ALL THE REFS FAULT". The next "perfect" ref you find will be the first ever. Get over it and play the game, which includes dealing with bad and missed calls!

Wilson still has to beat LA at Home and Diamond Ranch. Tough task..
Posted by: Fan | January 29, 2008 7:46 PM
Carlos,
LA is not out of it yet! LA lost to Diamond Ranch 4-3, again thanks to the JV ref who failed to call two off sides. LA out shot DR 15-4 in the second half. Once again, a varsity ref did not show up and a JV ref was asked to sub for him. LA needs to beat Charter Oak, Wilson and Bonita. They already beat Bonita and Charter Oak and tied Wilson.
Posted by: Soccer fan | January 29, 2008 7:43 PM
Wilson losses to Bonita. Ref 2 wilson 1. Ref gives the bonita team a penalty kick and then doesn't call an offside. Most horrible ref I have ever seen. Good game played by both teams. the league title goes between Diamond RAnch and Wilson

Referee give one to SH over Walnut boys soccer. 10min into the game referee made another bad call giving SH a PK for 1-0 win over Walnut. Good game SH a win is a win. On a good note Walnut girls water polo beat LA 10 to 2. Way to go girls.

Bonita fan Wait I forgot our girls soccer, and water polo team beat you.
Posted by: #1 fan | January 27, 2008 3:17 PM

LA Fan, please re-read my post, I said Bonita GIRLS team going down in flames. Never did I mention anything about BOYS.
So if you are going to flame me, make sure you have the context of my post correct first.

Bulldog Bone Thugs You mean the two sports that you sit around most of the game. Where teams has the bigges fat A--. A play that last maybe 4 sec then you wait 45 sec for the next play. I think I'll talk soccer, and other sports first.

#1 fan,
Here we go. Soccer results that you are sooooo proud of. Get a life! when your boys Baseball and Football team can grow some sacks and play with the Big Dogs then spew your Venom. I hear one of your so called prized Football players may be leaving and going to that Catholic School over in La Puente to play Pac 5 football? Whats the latest on that?
Posted by: Bulldog Bone Thugs | January 25, 2008 3:51 PM
It's amazing to me how that kid (Jiovanni) is the MVP of our leauge. He was elbowing some of our players and fighting with them during our game with them. I've heard the same from other people.

#l fan,
We still beat you 1-0!!
Posted by: Bonita fan | January 25, 2008 1:26 PM
Bonita Fan,
It also has to do with the attitude of the players on the field. Your #5, last years league MVP, received a red card for poor sportsmenship. As a result, he could not play against Diamond Ranch.
Posted by: LA Fan | January 25, 2008 1:24 PM
Bonita going down in flames losing to Diamond Ranch.
I hear their recent skid is due to the "Booster Club" suggestion that all players get equal playing time.
Some were having issues with their dd only seeing a few minutes here and there!!!

Leave Fred alone! If all coaches called in their scores consistently and in a timely manner that would help.
Posted by: soccer fan | January 24, 2008 10:45 AM
Fred needs to get his facts straight, Charter Oak is 2-2-0 in league, not 3-2-0. West Covina is NOT a league game for them, contrary to what MaxPreps says.
Posted by: soccermom | January 24, 2008 7:41 AM
fred,
west covina senior robert roriguez one of the best defender out there he's attitude and leadership are keeping west covina alive we got to keep an eye on robert hopefully this kid gets a div 1 school

FYI - The final score of the Bonita vs. Los Altos Girls match on Tuesday was 5-3, not 4-2 as noted by FredJ

Anyone know the score of the Diamond Ranch v. Charter Oak girls soccer game yesterday?
Posted by: Question | January 23, 2008 11:58 AM
Fred,
Some players to consider. Los Altos, Tony Hernandez, Sophmore sweeper. This kid is solid in the backfield. Chris Lopez, Captain, senior halfback, quiet player, makes things happen. Kevin Martinez, Jr. striker, distroys defenders. Frank Nunez, Senior fullback, what a pleasure to watch.
Posted by: Consider | January 23, 2008 11:12 AM
your right J. Wilson, maybe next week we'll start breaking down the best players by position. You all can help by starting with some players to be considered.
Posted by: FredJ | January 23, 2008 9:09 AM
FRED YOU NEED TO POST THE TEAM OVERALL RECORD AND THERE LEAGUE RECORD, ALSO MENTION SOME OF THE PLAYERS BY NAME HO HAD A GOOD GAME OWEEK,SEASON. KEEK UP THE GOOD WORK

Walnut Girls 5 West Covina 0

Los Altos boy's soccer team beat Bonita!!!!
It should have been a huge blow-out. Bonita reached the LA goal about five times total. Double BOOYAH!
Posted by: Fan | January 22, 2008 8:58 PM
Last week I didn't have Arroyo or Diamond Bar in the rankings at all, because I didn't have their records. It's hard tracking boys soccer when so many don't call in results. I feel better about this week's top ten. I admit I made big changes from last week, but it's only because I'm getting more familiar as the weeks move on.
Posted by: FredJ | January 22, 2008 7:41 PM
Bonita moves up, what a joke having Los Altos ranked so high. Bonita girls just beat Los Altos 4-2. BOOYAH
Posted by: Bonita fan | January 22, 2008 6:19 PM
Wow, Fred Robledo needs to watch some soccer before making his rankings. Last week he had Los Altos ranked 8th, and Wilson 5th. Then Los Altos and Wilson tie 1-1, in a great game, and he moves Wilson up to 2nd, but moves Los Altos down to 10th. And now both Diamond Ranch and Los Altos have the same record in league play. The Miramonte League is tough. Mountain View is deserving of the #1 spot. And I don't know much about the others, because I haven't seen them play, but South Hills has lost some non-league games to teams ranked below them. The Miramonte League is tough this year. So is the valley, all should do well in the playoffs.

FRED, GANESHA VISITS BALDWIN PARK ON THURSDAY.
THIS SHOUD BE FOR THE LEAGUE TITLE. GANESHA BEAT B.P. EARLIER 2-0. IM SURE THE BRAVES WILL BE READY FOR THIS ONE...
Posted by: BRAVEFAN | January 22, 2008 3:32 PM
I would't exactly say that Wilson has an early control of the Miramonte league! After two overtime wins and one overtime tie, the second half of the season will be interesting.
Posted by: What? | January 22, 2008 2:29 PM
Damien must have an amazing team! After losing to Diamond bar and others ranked lower or not ranked and too still deserve a high ranking?
