Are rosters to much to ask?

| | Comments (5) |

Too all the basketball folks: If you're going to charge $8 bucks to get in a CIF playoff basketball game, at least provide a copy of rosters at the entrance. Is that too much to ask? Not asking for a full program, which should be available anyway, just a plain sheet of paper with both rosters on it. It's bad enough you can't eat a hot dog or drink a soda in most of these gyms anymore, but it's even more ridiculous that school's don't provide the players' names for fans attending the games. I know, I know, this is just a reporter who gets in free complaining. But more and more schools are getting lazy, and I'm wondering if it ticks you off too.

Ive said it a thousand times. If schools were businesses they'd be bankrupt and out of business. Laziness, incompetence, and they get paid either way mentality. If you were in the school system you know exactly what im saying.

Rosemead High had a program with the names, positions and grade of both home and visiting teams for both girls and boys games and handed them out FREE the last three league games at home. The last game program was expanded as it also included the rosters for the girls junior varsity teams from both schools so those players would get a little publicity. JV girls play first, followed by varsity girls and varsity boys. The program also helps the media and the announcer.
