Re #1 Fan--I think you might be one title off at Walnut. If girls volleyball won, then there are seven league titles--tennis, water polo basketball, soccer and volleyball(?) for the girls and cross county and water polo for the boys. Girls cross country came in second.

fred i always told you that amat soccer was at least half decent. I jsut hope those boys could pull out this win over Kaiser. They have worked very hard this season and deserve it. So lets see what happens. You should check them out for next year. They got some serious talent on that team.
thank you and good luck to all the remaining teams in the playoffs

Fred like to put this out there. What is the school sport records for this year
Walnut has
6 league champion
2 second place.
Not to bad

I'm hoping for another GHS vs. El Toro classic down in S. OC. That game 2 years ago with their big 7 foot kid was a classic. I was at the game the year before that at Cal Poly as well. That too was a barn burner, but not such a good outcome for the Tartans. I hear El Toro has a big Center again, but not some skinny 7 footer. This guy is a huge beast at 6'8" & 280 lbs. He's supposed to be a legit post guy. What will Le Duc and his crew cook up for them this time? I can tell you, they won't be caught with their shorts down this time though. BTW, if your planning on going, get their early. Last time they had to set up an overflow room with a live game feed on a screen (they were filming for some OC cable station). Go Tartans!

I hope nogales can beat perris on their homecourt.

ill be driving all the way out there to watch.

If Mtn View was out because of the player playing in that program. Azusa should have been out also since they had MORE than just one player in there..

Is that fair or what?..

This bad memory form last year, is in all of our minds (returners from last year) here at Mtn View. Which makes us, even more eager to play this game..

Also Mtn View beat Azusa in the wildcard in 2006 3-0. Played them last year again in wildcard. And this time we meet in second round. Three years in a row we play each other in playoffs.

Fred,

first of all it was not a club team. It was a program that sends players to Tecos U.A.G, a professional team in Mexico. i forgot what it is called.

there was a contract he had to sign to be there which he didnt even sign.

while he might have been training with them, he did not play ANY games.

And how ironic is it that the guy that told him to go there was the AZUSA COACH. He just told him nah its alright u wont break any rules.

He also had a few players from the Azusa high school team in that program. One that i remember went by the last name GUTIERREZ, first name Eduardo if im not mistaken. If you look at Citrus college's soccer roster he should be there. I think i saw him.

basically, Mtn View was playing Azusa in the wildcard game.

the roster that Azusa turned in to us had like 3 names crossed off in black permanent. HMMMMM...i wonder why...

the truth is those were the ones that were in that program with that coach.

after Mtn View beat Azusa after double overtime and penalties, the Azusa coach came up to Mtn View principal and said that a Mtn View player was playing outside league.

Our principal, not even knowing ANYTHING about the damn sport, called CIF and forfeited our game, without investigating anything first.

After a couple meeting with parents coaches and players..the principal admitted she was wrong in just forfeiting like that...but it was too late..

Azusa was off to play Salesian in CIF. Which they lost 5-0.

Fred,

Last year a Player from Montain view was caught practicing with a club team from Hacienda Heights during the high school soccer season which lead to Mountain view forfeiting their game against Azuza in playoffs. Azuza is no match for Mountain view this year.

I will be covering the Mountain View-Azusa game, tell me more about this controversy, I wasn't around then.

Anyone remember the controversy in boys soccer from last year Azusa v.s. Mountain View??..when azusa cheated their way to go on and get killed by salesian...

Payback is a B!TCH..

Fred should cover this game..

It will be one to remember...
