Girls Soccer: Walnut on a mission; Dranch, San Dimas win too

| | Comments (1) |

Above: Walnut's Veronica Ramos (2) celebrates after scoring two goals with one assist in Saturday's 4-0 win over Newbury Park. The Mustangs are looking for their fourth championship this decade, and are the most complete team I've seen this season. Ramos and Nadia Link are a great combination up top, and central midfielder Natalie Martin is outstanding. And if there's a better goalkeeper than Megan Allaire, I haven't seen her. After watching Arcadia the past few years working at the Star-News, I would love to see both teams win second round games, and meet up in the quarterfinals.

Great job All Walnut Girls team. Going underfeated in league in Soccer, basketball, and Water polo. Water polo team is the only team that lost in CIF after a great double over time game today. One more thing Way to go to the boys soccer team beating the #2 seed Diamond Ranch 3-1
