Going Live!
What are your thoughts on live streaming video interviews? We're tossing around the idea of inviting in coaches, particularly in football, to do a 15-30 minute chat with us. We'll promote it by telling you who and when we're interviewing, and we'll ask your questions as well as ours. For instance, if Joe Amat writes in a question on this blog for Steve Hagerty, we'll ask him, etc, etc. There is also a way for you to write in questions while we're going live. Again, it's something we're discussing, but I'd like your thoughts on whether we should do it, or ways we can make it better. Technology man, it's making me work.

I don't know if it will really work out the way you want it to.
I mean, won't most of the people watching this blogg already be at the football games anyway ? How will they be able to view this unless they bring their own laptops to the games (assuming of course that it will be a live feed) ?
Also, I have often wondered about recoding event's such as prep sports. Is there some rule against video taping the games and then showing them on a forum like this one here ?
The reason I ask is because I was thinking of bringing a camera to a few games next year and taping some of plays for later play back on the internet, but I wasn't sure if I could do that or not. I mean I know that we can see some bits and pieces on youtube, but other than that, do you need permission from someone ?

Do it and get the baseball guys involved, why just football? Baseball talent is king right now in the area and you should take advantage of it.

Fred here's a novel idea...do it live but turn the tables on the bloggers.
Have a roundtable of coaches ask the bloggers questions. Situations, defenses vs offenses., merit of down and distance, break down technique, 4-3 vs Spread Offense, 4-4Stack, 50, personnel for a 5-3, how to stop the (fill in the blank) and finally break down film...LIVE!
That would be more painful than Celebrity Fat Farm or VH1's "Where are they now?" The band reunion show.
I would bet it would be a YouTUBE hit in minutes!
LOL
Fred could play the part of Donald Trump and look in the camera and say..."YOU"RE A BLOWHARD!""
Pass this along to the coaches and see the smiles and chuckles you'll get.
