Too bad none of these kids lived in the area. NHS is no better than South Hills in the recruiting department. The kids are good kids though but lets be real. They should have been at different schools. What was Northview before them? Nothing. Guess it does take some good recruiting. Just ask Gano. Wait, Gano was at Northview, so that is where Murphy learned his tricks. Well it worked.

Glendora has been doing it for a lot longer than Northview and doesn't recruit. I think the real story is when the Bonita kids get drafted next year what Knott is doing. Bonita kids were nothing before Knott got there.

Former DB Brahma Mike Burns is a starter for the AAA Iowa Cubs....he had one helluva a month back in '06 for Houston but since then has been up and down....pitched for Pawtucket in '07 and now with the CUBS organization....he throws tonight in fact!

You hit it on the head when you say that these kids have been pivotal in the success of Northview Baseball while Viking Players, but also how they've put the program in a position to win even now when they're gone. What's awesome about these former players is that they all come back and work out with the kids in the offseason, so that's the special thing about where the program is at right now.
